+ You're opinion about Shuichi's different hair colors.
-I think its cool that it changes,but one color would be great so I could know what color is it whenever I need to.
+ Anime's Shuichi bright pink vs. the OVA Shuichi with the darker shade
-I like the OVA color better,cause really bright pink isnt my thing and its just to bublle gum colorish.
+ Do you think that Shuichi looks better as a blonde/brunette?
-Shuichi blonde.
+ Is pink even his natural hair color?
-No,its black.Like a raven...or a crow.
+ Why did Murakami make Shuichi have pink hair?!?!
-Maybe she likes pink,or just wanted her character to have nice pikapika pink hair.

-Purple,not to me.I never thought any of the manga covers looked like he had purple hair,just pink or that one where hes blonde.
+ What is Shuichi's real eye color? (Some could argue that they're purple from the anime, green from the OVA, or any other color shown on the manga covers)
I dont really know...blue,green,red,pink,I dont know haha.

i like the reder vs pink.
the blound, becasue he looked really really nice.
ummm, as for the pink hair maybe it was a typo and the editer liked it that way
and his hair is not to me really pink he dyes it
and his hair to me is not purple.

Well, let me say this. Thank's to Shui-chan I dyed my hair pink! And I don't think his hair was ever burnet. It was black to my knowledge, because of a line I think Hiro-kun said about Shui-chan needing to go back to "raven" So yeah... but please forgive me if I was wrong.

Tatsuha_Uesugi Well I saw Manga pics of Gravitation first, so I was used to how everyone looked. Then I saw the anime and was like "...wtf? pink hair?"

-Dancing Deathscythes- So if you read the manga, you probably know what I'm talking about. You think Shuichi, you immediately think of a pink-haired uke. The anime gave us a perfect image with a bright, bubblegum hair colored singer. No one thinks of him as a blonde or a brunette, though he was temporarily each of these. After his break up with Yuki, Shucihi dyed his hair blonde, claiming that he needed a new start (or something along those lines, I haven't read that particular manga in a while) He also later dyed it black... I'm not even sure if he ever redyed it to pink when the manga ended! So topic of discussions: + You're opinion about Shuichi's different hair colors.

You're right. I own all the mangas but when the topic is brough up I think of him with pink hair. This is probably because it was the most "outstanding" color he chose.

I'm actually used to his pinky-genki hair. Maybe its coz he likes strawberry pocky?

No matter what, the pink hair's now just a trademark that makes a cosplayer recognized as Shuichii. But personally, I like the redder hair...and his blonde "i'm a rebel" hair too. xd

wow..his hair did change alot in the manga...i mean sometimes i didn't even know who he was...i'm getting used to seeing pictures of Shuichi having pink hair then bam i see pics of his hair being purple...then BAM Red in the OVA then Bam platinum blonde in book like what...11,12..sheesh.. but don't get me wrong they all looked great on him.

I guess so, that Shuichi does look good in all different colours..but thats just so..um..funny..He's like 'Pink Shu' evolve to 'Blonde Shu'...meh, maybe I'm talking rubbish...

I volunteered at a Japanese gardens musuem called the Morikami over the summer. And when I was looking through the list of other volunteers, there was someone named Drew Murakami.
Then, a few weeks later... I got Gravitation manga! And I was happy.
Anyways...back to the topic.
I like thinking of Shuichi of a girly man, even if he really isn't. So, I like pink. I've never seen the OVA, and haven't read much manga, so I can't really compare, but the manga that I HAVE read...well, I just assumed his hair was pink, due to previous exposure to the anime. It's like Momoko from Wedding Peach, her hair is actually pink, but they just color it in black in the manga. I don't know why they don't use grey, but they don't. Maybe they wanted to make her look more Japanese, and then could too be the reason for making Shuichi's hair black in the manga. And yeah, I am awaree that I'm rambling.
And in response to a comment on an earlier page:funner IS a word. =3

WOW eek , i havent read teh maga so this is a little surprising for me....i gues i could imagine him as a brunnete or with black hair...but not blonde...

I'm really embarrassed to say that I have only watched the anime (and loved it) so I know him by his pink hair (which is weird for me, since I usually read manga...) but anyway...

I remember reading that his hair is dyed pink. I was reading a profile. Anywhos, I know way too much about Shuichi. He's 5'5. Around 112 pounds. His favorite food is strawberry pocky. His blood-type is like...A or B. He's like...19. Yuki, on the other hand...he's 6'1. I forgot his weight. His favorite food is strawberry shortcake (the most sensual dessert ever to be created), and his blood type is like...either A or B. He's 22. But I don't even know why I'm getting into this. I like Shu-chan's pink hair. Though, his hair is shorter in the series than it is in the manga. I haven't seen the english version of Gravi in years and his voice isn't quite like I remember. Rich McNanna and Rome Elliot rule. ^.^
