Lily picked herself up and dusted herself off, pushing her hair back from her face. She left her bags on the ground and looked over at a desk, noting the fact that there were keys on it. She walked over to the desk and found her key, 109. Hse dragged her bags into a corner and slipped her keys into the tiny pocket of her skirt, then walked out the door around the side of the building, sighting the pol and grinning.

i knew i wore my bikini under these clothes for a reason!

The loud rumbling purr of a high-end motorcycle preceeded the jet black and glossy motorcycle and it's dark leather-clad rider. Tires squealed slightly as the rider turned, tilting the bike at an angle to bring it around in a sharper turn at that speed. As the rider straightened it out and spotted a spot the purr cut off abruptly as the bike was guided into a spot at a glide.

Booted feet hit the asphalt before the rider kicked down the stand and dismounted. After activating the bike's alarm the rider pulled off the matching racing helmet and tucked it under an arm, revealing an androgynous face, brown eyes and dark chestnut hair. With the helmet tucked under an arm, Makoto headed toward the building's entrance. The building's handyman and oddjobsman was returning from a three-day long vacation that had been used to pick up a new skill.

Backpack slung over both shoulders and cinched close to a loose black leather motorcycle jacket, Makoto entered the building and passed by the main office. Leather chaps and jacket made a soft "shh-sha-sh" sound as the tall brunette strode down the hall between the sound of rubber-soled and steel tipped boots on the floor.

Once Terry parked the black Lexus into a random parking space, she noticed two things. The first was how huge the apartment was. The whole building radiated a peaceful vibe that the woman liked. It was nothing like the little cell she was given.
The second was how hot it was outside.

Terry was so glad that she decided to cut her normally long brown hair and that the key for her new home was mailed to her. She could already feel her red shirt stick unpleasantly to her back as she got out the car and opened the trunk.
This is one of the disadvantages of being black, she thought to herself. You tend to hot quicker. She juggled the tree suitcases she took out the trunk and closed it. "I guess this is the start of a new beginning for me," she said to herself as she moved into the building.

The sun was shining brightly all through out the walls of "The Heights." It fell upon a U-Hal making it's way into the parking lot. The U-Hal's engine turned off, and a young woman stepped out. She was dressed in a simple black shirt contain the numbers 4-8-15-16-23-42 from a popular late night show called Lost. Her gray Dickies were slightly dragging on the ground, and her brown sandals were nothing to speak of. She never wore sandals, but then again she had never just packed all of her things and moved on a moment's notice.

A lot of things in Leigh's life were changing. Everything feel apart in a matter of days, and she had not taken the time to put the pieces back together.

She removed the small sweat droplets that had formed around her hair line, and looked around. Her semi-long dyed brown hair was trying to mask her blue eyes away from seeing anything in front of her. She blew the strands of hair to the side of her face, and got a better look.

"This isn't half bad." She thought making her dead man's walk toward the front office. There, laying ever so invitingly, where the keys to her new apartment.

"Apartment 221." She whispered. The metal was cold to the touch, but Leigh was just excited to have the thing that would start her knew life. This was the magic right in her hand. She had never been alone before in her life, but now she was. Everything was so sudden.

She followed the same path back to her U-Hal, and started unloading a few bags. She was to exhausted to take everything up to her new apartment, so she only grabbed the important things. Some clothes, toiletries, and her Sin City blanket featuring Jessica Alba.

Stepping out of a cab she she slings onto her sholder a canvas and navy blue drawstring duffle bag, full. Looking about she then looks up to see where she'll be staying. Smiling slightly she whispers.

"A new adventuer..."

With that she opens the door and enters as she heads to the desk to ring the bell. She was wanting to get to her room so she can put her bag and clothes away. She struggles with the bag as she finds it rather heavy. She wasnt one of the strong ones physicaly, but mentaly shes quite strong.

Instead of dealing with the owner, Terry put the broken ball into a bag with a twenty and wrote her name and her apartment number. She dropped it, knocked on the door and headed back to the Rec Room.

All she was carrying was a trunk. That was all the woman needed anyway. She wore a dark expression on her face. Her cheeks were puffy and red and there was a tiny cut on her chin. It was fairly obvious she had been crying on her way there. Something had deeply upset her. Somewhere in her life something went wrong.
She could of been beautiful at that moment. Her long dark purple hair was blowing slightly in the cool breeze and she wore a big black coat over herself. Her eyes were a dark blue lined with a startling red. She had slightly asian features but her nose was just a little too big and her skin far to pale. The milky white flesh was barely even exposed to the sun.

She slowly carried her trunk to the office and placed it down with the room number she had been assigned scrawled on a white peice of paper taped to it. She softly knocked on the office door.
"Hello?"

Quinn was not a morning person. She never had been. When she had still been in school, she'd always dozed through her first class. Once she hit college, she'd skillfully avoided any classes that began before noon. Things had hardly changed for her, she was still not a morning person, but some level of maturity (at least as far as her sleeping habits were concerned) had sunk into the young woman, she at least managed to drag herself into the office in the mornings when it was her turn to babysit the place.

That's not to say that she dressed professionally. In the wee hours of morning, after scrubbing her teeth, she'd simply thrown on a pair of pajama pants (a pale green with wee sushi and onigiri flannel) to go with the grey tanktop and brilliant red sports bra she'd worn to bed. Oh the fashion wonders. Short, brown hair was still tousled, and the brush held in one hand declared her intention to fix that... at some point that morning. Green eyes peered at the pair already in her office from behind strands of dark hair. Even without any make up, her skin was smooth and soft, a warm tan coloring it left over from the summer.

Inwardly, she reflected just how these people looked so bright and alert this early. Well... alert at least, one look at the violet-haired woman's puffy eyes and she ammended her statement.

Despite her appearance, Quinn smiled at the two standing there, setting her brush on the desk as though it belonged there. "Good Morning. I'm Quinn Larkson, Assistant Manager here at the Heights." Ooo she was so professional. "Can I help you?"

"Yes... I'm one of the new tenats here. Kuro Kitasudesu." She says as she looks over the other girl.
Even though her face didn't look up to its normal par she was dressed impeciablly. Even though it was a rairity for her. The perfectly trimmed black jackect hugged her hips and her black pants were perfectly hemmed. She looked like she had just stepped out of a magazine of buisness women.
Despite the red puffy-ness of her face.
She smiled slightly at Quinn.
"I love your pants."

"Kitasudesu..." Quinn searched through the assortment of paperwork scattered across her desk, trying to find the paperwork for tenants that were supposed to show up that day. Huh, Alex finally wanted spare keys? Oh right, tenant. Putting that peice of paper aside, the girl in front of her spoke up again. This time Quinn grinned, no longer even remotely professional. "Why thank you. I'm rather fond of them myself. Unfortunately I get a sushi craving when I wear them too often. Ah, here we go. Kitasudesu. Room 213. You ready for the grand tour?"

Picking up the set of keys from the hook on the short overhang on her side of the desk, she spun it on her finger. "Once we get your stuff up there, there's just a few papers that need signing and then you're officially moved in."

"Yeah that'd be great." She said as she lifted up her trunk.
It seemed she did it with a bit of ease. With a slight sniff she lifts her head up.
"I was here the other day with the real estate agent. This is such a nice complex." She said. She was glad she'd be away from what seemed to be the root of her problems.

Along with the key (still slung on the one finger) Quinn grabbed up her brush. A few quick swipes through her hair and she looked a little less tousled. The brush stayed behind and she walked over to Kuro with her trunk.

"Got anything else to bring up?" Green eyes flicked to her as she got the door, holding it open for the trunk-laden girl.

Oh it was wet out. Wrinkling her nose, she thought about grabbing an umbrella, considering her not-so-dressed-for-the-weather clothing.

(Edit: oh yeeaaahh... I made it rain today in a different post. Minor edit to this post to account for that)

She shook her head.
"No... Some friends are coming by later to drop off the rest of my stuff..." She said with a slight sigh. She had really rushed out of her place in life. She was glad for that. A dog doesn't stay long with a cruel master.

She looked up at the rain and cringed slightly. It wasn't like she could do much about it seeing as her arms were full. The rain was cold and somewhat refreshing on her warm face. She walked out of the door just accepting the rain as one of lifes little disapointments.

(( On a side note, did you want a furnished or unfurnished apartment? ))

Ah ha!! Once Kuro was out to door, she reached behind the door and grabbed the giant gold umbrella that Alex insisted on keeping in the office. Until now, Quinn had just suspected her of a secret love of golfing. As to avoid bad luck, she popped the umbrella open once they were outside. Taking a few running steps behind Kuro, she held it over the both of them as they walked to the apartment.

"We're probably going to drain the pool for the winter soon, but there's still a few nights you'll be able to swim in it if you really want to. Up on the second floor over there," she spun around, pointing the opposite direction they were walking, "Is the Rec Room. Pool table, big screen, that kinda stuff. Good place to meet new people."

She looked at each of the sights that were pointed out silently making a mental notice of where each of them were.

She looked down at the ground. Puddles were quickly forming up around her feet from the heavy rain. It didn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.
((Furnished would be good.))
