not all shadows are cast by light...
"and I'm Gabriel, I AM a vampire." he said, sitting on the side of the couch, you have to stay here for a while anyway, it's getting light.
...some are cast by darkness.

"No, it wont hurt. Just you'll have to be as still as possible, and look away, since your a vampire the light will hurt if you look at it..." Andrea replied as she gently placed her left hand on her forearm, and then her right hand a few inches above the wounded shoulder, she waited for Jessica to turn her face.

Jessica nodded. She became less tense when she realized that another vampire was around. "Pleasure to meet you, Gabriel." Jessica said as her eyes began to water with pain. "Damn hunters..." She muttered shutting her eyes and willing the pain away.

"there are hunters around?" Gabriel asked "oh I do hope they're not thinking about running around my mansion... if they do, they'll regret it." he said, a little angry. "I will not tolerate any hunters close to this place."

"May I look now?" She asked, not sure if the light was gone or not. "Yes, a group about 10 of them. They attacked me as I was traveling. I killed a few but the others got away. They're searching for me and my brother. The last I heard was that there is a pretty big reward for our heads. Lais, the hunter's leader, has killed my parents and is now trying to complete his collection of fangs that hang around his neck with the addition of my fangs and my brother's fangs." Jessica explained

"Yes, you can look." Andrea said as she pulled her hand away, making the light that healed Jessica's shoulder disappear.

Jessica smirked, "Thanks, but only if I can help." She replied, her 'I'm a tough and bad a** vampire' attitude coming back once more. She turned to look at Gabi and Andrea, a smile on her face. She moved her shoulder, it felt good as new. "Thank you...I'm sorry for my outburst. I guess you could say I have been taught not to trust others easily." She said to Andrea.

Natalie's eyes scanned the area for a possible place for her to rest her head. She was getting tired of walking, and if she slept on another rock or tree again she was going to croak. She came up to a large mansion that seemed roomy enough. But who would want someone like her? Natalie was a freak of nature...or so she was told. "Tali-chan should try anyway." Natalie said walking towards the door. She hesitated for a moment, then knocked.

"I guess it's a good day for visitors." Gabriel said, looking at the door. "I'll be right back." he said and he walked towards the door. he opened them and saw another girl. "why hello, looking for a place to stay?" he asked

"No worries. I'm used to it, especially when people hear I was raised by demons, and not angels, as that is what I am." Andrea replied as she stood up so Jessica could get up if she wished.

She nodded. Lying on the comfrotable couch put her at ease and her eyes slowly closed. With a soft sigh, Jessica let herslef rest for a moment. "I cannot remember the last time I felt this at peace. Most of the time I can only stay a few days at most in a village before the hunters catch up to me." She said.

"okay..." he said a little confused about how she spoke. "you're more than welcome to stay here for as long as you like, but we've got another visitor, she was wounded just now, so please close the door behind you, and you can sit where-ever you want, but I'm just gonna check if she's okay." he said and he walked back to Jessica. he sat down at the same spot "well, the hunters won't be able to get into this place." he said as he looked at her "and yes, I could hear what you say from all the way over there." he laughed "though you could probably hear what I said over there aswell"
