I definitely plan on opening a cat rescue shelter when I am older, just because I know I want to take all the cats at the shelter home with me.
I'd probably have to make it a small Not For Profit and run off of donations, but then I could look after all the adult kitties that normally don't get taken home...
...which, yes, the world needs more no-kill shelters.

I agree the world definitely needs more no-kill shelters. I have dogs, and sometimes we end up with too many, but I won't send them to the animal shelter, because if they don't find a home they'll die. Its not fair. There are too many people too, but you don't see us putting them to sleep. redface
Hehe I'm ranting again. sweatdrop I have at the moment 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 Beta, a spoiled rotten quaker parrot, and two dogs we're watching for other people. We got our two cats from a rescue group a month or so ago. The fees were waved that day, because if they didn't find a home they were going to be put to sleep. Their gorgeous creatures.
