yeaaaah... I agree with everyone else. I think it'd be well-nigh impossible to find anyone who prefers the movie, without them really.. disliking the core of the X plot.
(and the manga does win. except for the fact that it's... you know. still unfinished. :/)

anywho Anime rules because as said before, the character development is necessary as well as having more than one fight per character. Also, the fact that the characters were so different in the anime compared to the movie sucked. I mean the moment when Sorata dies in the movie (cut down by fuma i believe in the middle of a street) sucks compared to his anime death (where he was killed by Fuma while protecting both kamui and Arashi, then massively charging Fuma's Shinken, thus blowing off half of his body). Also, no Kakyo in the movie is no good. You gotta have Kakyo, even if he does nothing, because he's awesome. And what the hell was with that replacement guy Shōgo Asagi? Why wasn't Yuto the water master?
Another thing about the movie that sucked was the short fights. they're al like 5 hits then BOOM! both combatants die. Also, as a Subaru fan, WTF?! Dead in the first 5 minutes! That's not a good way to start off. Smaller characters should have died first, like Saiki. they should have had a big 7 on 7 battle and then kill them all off. but nope. crappy five minute fights where everyone dies is what we got. At least they were impressive visually and had alot of explosions and destruction.
The story was.....meh i liked both in terms of story.
Visuals were impressive in both the movie and anime. However, this is one of two times you'll hear me say something positive about the movie. I preferred the gore in the movie. Arashi's sword covered in blood when it came out was cool. Fuma's Shinken being pulled out of Kotori's body was awesome. and I can't hate Kusanagi for fighting with no arms. Basically, the movie gets my vote for visuals because of the blood and Kamui's mom's boobs. That was hot.
And here's the second positive thing about the film: the ending. Now alot of you who are reading this would agree with me because it meant the end of this crappy film, but i liked it because it made more sense. Kamui dying in the end of the anime was...well...pointless. Kamui living in the end made sense. I mean for something like X you want a happy ending. And while it wasn't necessarily happy, it was more traditional in the sense that the main character lived. i like traditional endings.
so all in all, with the exception of the visuals and ending of the movie, X the tv series was, is, and always will be better than the movie.
.....and because i hate the fat b*****d for many reasons (especially his view on video games), i just proved that anyone can do just as good of a review as Roger Ebert. SUCK IT ROGER EBERT!
