Clifford looked at the card and then at the woman. "And what sort of paranormal things do you investigate, Ms. Anderson? What is your take on the paranormal?" This woman suddenly interested hiim greatly. He had just been presented with two district problems for his race and it is possible that the answer lyed with in his people...but it could also be outside of it as well.

Fortunately, it wasn't that uncommon to see homeless bums sitting on the curbs of streets; Adrien seemed to fit right in with no trouble at all. With his burned face, dirty blouse, torn pants, he could easily been mistaken for a worthless peasant, than the respectable commoner that he had been.
With trembling fingers, Adrien managed to remove a block of wood and a carving knife from his small waist pack. It was the perfect size of wood that he needed; he could see the figurine in his hand even before he had begun his work. It would be perfect. He hoped to sell it for some money when he was finished, or keep it for himself for company. Either way, it would be a work of art that would keep him alive.
Adrien began to cut away the fine wood, one small chunk at a time. He had all too much experience to know what happened when too much was taken away too soon. You couldn't reattach a piece of wood; the piece would look tacky in the end. Small pieces, starting from the top, working your way down.
((Feel free to bother him, anyone.))

Calli was aware of the old way Georg spoke and wondered if he indeed could assist her. "I'm searching for my sire." She watched his face, searching for his reaction. "He or she changed me when I was close to dying. They saved my life. I want to find whoever it is, if only to thank them. But even after all this time, I know next to nothing." Calli split her attention and watched the scene behind Georg, noticing the human woman who had passed her earlier.
((Just a thought--about what year is this all taking place in?))

Ariai watched Cliff excuse himself to go to the aid of a human woman, and she laughed softly. "He has always been polite and willing to help." She looked around and smiled before taking a sip of her tea. She was curious why he was starting to talk with the woman, and she swept over to peer over Cliff's shoulder. "Clifford, what is that?" she asked, her eyes flicking curiously to the woman.

"The lady was just giving me her card. What do you think? Could we use a paranormal exspert with our little problems?" Clifford looked at Ariai and a smirk in his eyes. Whether or not she could be of use would be intersting to see.

((I feel like a total tard for asking this, but what has happened in the plot so far? I do plan on reading the posts already submitted, it's just that I'll be able to read them after I post with my own character. Bizarre sounding, I know, but right now that's just how I work.))

((To answer the first question, this takes place in modern time.
To answer the second question, not much, really, the characters are just outside of a haven and meeting for the first time in the rp.))
"Have you asked the King and Queen for assistance?" Gerog asked. "I am convinced they would not refuse a request such as yours. If you so desire, I can bring this wish to them in your place, once my current task is accomplished."

Rhina Gatewaye "The lady was just giving me her card. What do you think? Could we use a paranormal exspert with our little problems?" Clifford looked at Ariai and a smirk in his eyes. Whether or not she could be of use would be intersting to see. Ariai considered the question Cliff posed. She looked at the woman's card, and read that her name was Faith Anderson. "Ms. Anderson, we could be in need of your help." She dropped a low curtsy to the young investigator. Still in her curtsy, she said softly, "But, you may face danger in helping us and our people. Are you willing to help?"

It was a night that Liek liked to be out in, though what kind of night it was for her no one could tell. It was just a 'good' night. She tilted her head back to look at the stars, her top hat amazingly staying on her head, she had had centuries to perfect the move. Her bare stocking feet were quiet on the side walk and few surprisingly paid attention to her, surprisingly because of her rather... unique attire and attitude. She soon stopped at a curb, her nose tingling and senses telling her of a young one about. She soon spotted him wittling away at some wood and quietly walked over and crouched behind him, peering curiously over his shoulder to view what he was making.

Calli smiled gratefully at Georg. "I have only seen the King and Queen once. I would be eternally grateful for your help." She looked around at the street outside the Haven, which had grown increasingly busy. "What is your...current task? Perhaps I can repay you by offering my assistance."

~(Thank you. Oh, and Duncan, I have a warning for you. It's nothing bad, don't worry. It's just that you haven't posted yet in my Medieval Ireland RP. -^_^- Just letting you know)~
Deimos walked down the street, the night relatively young. He licked the blood off of his fingers slowly, as if it were chocolate sauce. The body of his latest victim, a girl no older than about ten, lay sprawled, lifeless at the entrance of an alleyway. "So much fear in the young ones today. Makes them taste so delectable," his velvety voice cooed.
His raven-like hair flew into his face on a soft breeze. The vampire, using a pale hand, moved the dark stuff out of the way of his ice blue eyes. "I'm still hungry," he mused aloud. "Time to go find a drunken male." Laughing, the vile creature walked through the streets, searching for his next victim.

Finally, he was finished!
It was a work of art, if he ever saw one. The figure was of an old Bard by the name of Vandigo Storislas, whos main instrument was the ever popular lyre - an instrument closely related to the harp family. Sitting straight and tall upon a stool, his fingers frozen in the place of striking a chord, eyes closed, hair pulled back into a ribbon. His features were relaxed as he sang his song, which was how the old Bard was most recognized. His only emotions would show through his music, whether it was sad, loving, hateful, et cetera.
Adrien slipped his tool away, brushing the shavings from his shirt front and knees, and studied the figure. It was, for lack of a better word, perfect. He hoped he wouldn't have need in resorting to selling it; he wished to keep it, and cherish it as his own. No one else but him would see the magnificence in the art work, as no one but himself was the father of this lovely figure, the sculpter of the divine creation.

((I'm adding this post for abyss, who I so dumbly ignored. crying ))
A shiver ran up the length of his spine, nearly causing him to drop his precious figurine. He whirled about, falling off the curb to lay sprawled on the cobbled street like a cow before an on-coming train. Wide-eyed, trembling, and horrified to no end. The mistress that crouched behind him...she had an air about her that was unlike any he had ever felt before. Though, not magically a true Empath, he could feel others pretty well. It was a special, non-magical gift he had picked up from his beloved mother.
"Who...who are you?" he stammered, his face paling considerably. He attire was more than a little odd, and her top-hat put him off. Women didn't wear top hats. They wore gowns and fancy bonnets. This woman....she was strange beyond all that Adrien could could compare her to. "What do you want?"

((And I am finally posting. Sorry guys, I let Duncan know I was going to be away but forgot to post it here!))
Faith looked up at the two and stared for a moment. SHe had been about to answer the man when a woman showed up. They were discussing her card. Her eyes twinkled slightly as she cleared her throat once. "I deal with spirits, creatures of the night, beasts, anything that one would find in... oh, say, the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales or even in something like Ann Rice's The Vampire Chronicles," she responded as she stood up and dusted off her business suit. Her curiosity had been sparked when the man had asked if they needed a paranormal expert to help them out.
'For the love of God, let this be something that will bring me enough cash to get the rent paid on time!' she mentally prayed and brushed some wisps of red hair from her face. "Don't take this wrong, but I'm willing to do almost anything just to pay my rent before I get evicted," she said in a rather forward manner. She was desperate but she knew she would draw the line at certain things. Danger, however, was not one of those things.

Liek watched him with a slight tilt to her head and a soft smile. She then looked up at the sky and seemed to be ignoring what he asked. "It's a nice night isn't it little one?" She looked down back to him and grinned before reaching out and grabbing his wrist. "You smell so young, you do not understand what you are do you?" She reached back and picked up the figurine gently. The hand that held his wrist moved to his fingers and she uncurled his fingers, nice fingers they were. She placed the figurine in the hand and curled the fingers around it. "Such nice pretty work should be held close. Nothing should happen to it. Come now, I shall take you to the others! They will take care of you. That they will." She stood suddenly, her hand still on his wrist pulling him as well to guide him up from the ground.
The boy before her did not concern her, though she felt a need to take care of him and she almost always followed what she needed. The others, even those she did not like, would take care of the young one... But she wouldn't let him out of her sight. She could now have someone to hold the tea party's with that would not think taste disgusting because she laced it with blood, the essence of what they were. The vampires that came to seek her information often refused the tea party which made her sad but she did not mind too much.
