"That's a good idea, we'll try that then." He stated, truthfully.

"I can only hope it will work, as it would be the easiest on her... more pain is not what she needs."
Kurama would rather the girl take to him, but her happiness was more important. That he could remember, the child hadn't smiled even once during her stay with them. In that way, she was similar to the Koorime. Or maybe there was no connection and his mind was just stuck on the other boy. The redhead would rather think the first and stick to his more logical state of mind.

"You'll learn to love him." Hiei decided. "Kurama..." He murmured moving over next to the other. "Do you... Do you ever think of being more than just friends?" He questioned.

"Hiei, she's only a child... I couldn't possibly take that kind of step with Hoshiko," Kurama said, sounding serious at first, but humor very evident in the last bit.
It was plain that the fox thought of them as 'more than friends.' A question of that kind didn't need to be asked, though maybe what he needed was reassurance? That could be it. So he carefully maneuvered around the child to kiss the Koorime, answering physically.

"Hmmnn.. I'll take that as a yes." He commented, enjoying the other's kisses happily. Before the baby got upset with being smoshed in the middle of the two and started to get fussy over it. "Sorry, baby, didn't mean to make you upset..." He murmured, truthfully.

A small smile escaped the fox as he realized just how motherly the Koorime was acting. Seemed to come naturally, so maybe Hiei rescuing her wasn't the only reason she was so fond of him?
Kurama noticed how eager for attention she was... were most infants that way? It wasn't something he really would know, considering that he couldn't remember his first childhood and during his second had already lost all innocence. The reason she disliked him so might have something to do with having to share Hiei's attention. That seemed a very basic explanation that was fitting for a child.

"We were mushing her into a sandwitch." Hiei commented, screwing up the ninjin words again. He wasn't surprised when she nabbed his finger and started to suckle on it. "Kurama, I think she's hungry again, how often do you have to eat, little one, hmn?"

Hiei was acting... well, cute. He knew so little of the human world, yet was obviously trying. To top that off, he was taking a soft, nearly sweet tone with the girl.
"A child of her age should eat many smaller meals per day, rather than the three older humans usually eat. Would you like me to bring you a bottle so you can feed her?"

Hiei nodded, while gently bouncing the child up and down. Where he had been surprised by the child's odd strength, he was also surprised by how much she depended on Kurama and himself to take care of her. This debate perplexed him for a while... Why was it that Ninjins needed their parents so much? He, himself was kicked out at a tender age of seven- maybe eight years. Some of the other demon children were known to be independent straight out of the womb. But why was it that humans stayed in contact for a lifetime when the person obviously wasn't a mate- nor in his case, a weaker female sibling that tended to need fending for. Was it the same as the feeling of shame he had when he realized it was better that His sibling didn't know his true nature? Perhaps it was the same, perhaps not. Maybe humans were colony type of creatures- it sure seemed that way what with the cities and such. He tried to hide his thinking as he saw Kurama come back.

// I am very sorry, but I do not think I can continue this role-play. I will consider merely putting it on hold, but... I really have no drive to do it, if you understand...? I think you'd rather know this than wait for months on end for a half-assed reply. //
