Hiei thanked him, gently cradling the little wide- eyed wonder, before he spoke, looking almost fearfully up at Kurama. "Are we taking her back today?" He questioned and though his voice was steady, he wasn't as sure as he had been earlier about taking her back.

Kurama found the nearly fearful look strange... hadn't he just earlier wanted to be rid of Hoshiko? Appeared that he was, in fact, bonding with her... but they would eventually have to let her go, no matter how much they may not want to.
"Not today. When another mission arises would be the best time, since we do not want to endanger her."

"In that case... we will keep her—assuming that is what you want. Your happiness is more important than mine," Kurama said, making sure to finish his sentence before he yawned quite obviously. He was still tired and mostly asleep.

"Hmmm... I don't know... She's not used to you yet." He simply stated, finally having gotten her back to sleep. "I'm still tired, you obviously are too."

Before the Koorime even finished his sentence, Kurama was on the bed, not even under the blankets. It was fairly warm outside by this time, so it wasn't like he'd get cold.
"That I cannot deny... we will need to alter our sleeping schedules to deal with her, if that isn't yet apparent."

Hiei nodded his understanding, before crawling into bed with the other. "Love you, Kurama..." He whispered, kissing the other's cheek before snuggling up to the other so he would be facing Kurama when they next awoke and fell into a blissful slumber.

The fox kissed back, just once, but on the lips.
"Hiei, I love you, too," he said sincerely, in a quieter tone. It felt kind of odd to say, for the first time... but that was what he felt for the fire apparition, so surely Kurama would have time to get used to it.

When Hiei next awoke, he was surprised to find that the other was nowhere to be found, but the babe was laying in her crib cooing and blowing spit bubbles for some odd reason.

The fox had hated to leave the Koorime, but breakfast had to be made, and that was something he was sure the other lacked skill at. And so he prepared a traditional American breakfast, just for a change. For the humor value, he had chosen to wear an apron, hoping to get some kind of reaction from Hiei when he did decide to wake. If he ever did, that is, Kurama thought as the clock hit noon.

Hiei whined pitifully as he rubbed his sleepy eyes before coming down to greet Kurama down the stairs. He blinked and did a double take at the pink frilly thing that the other hand on.... He caught himself before he leaned far enough to see if the other had anything on underneath.

Kurama realized that the other had come down the stairs, but waited for him to say something before acknowledging the Koorime.
The food was nearly ready, and was practically a feast. Eggs, bacon, hash browns, orange juice, toast, various fruits, milk, and cereal were to be put on the table, just as soon as he finished his task. Maybe Hiei would be a dear and help?

Kurama blinked a few times, slightly confused, before quickly composing himself. Apparently, he had forgotten to dress completely.
"Trick? Cheat? You sound as if you wanted me to be undressed," the fox said, giving an odd, even somewhat seductive look.
"Should I fix that?"
