Ariai nodded. "I understand." She glanced at the clock. "When do you get off, Faith? Perhaps I may leave you here to work, and I will come by later so we can walk home together. I want to check something out."

Faith smiled a bit and stood up. "I make my own hours... It says nine-to-five on the door but as you can see I stay pretty late..." she explained with a little laugh. She proceeded to walk over to her desk and put away the files she had scattered on it. "I'm ready to go when you are, Miss Ariai."

"I wouldn't want to intrude on your work time, but if you wish to come then that's alright with me." Ariai smiled a little. "I'm going to go check out the zombies that are roaming around, to see if I can get any information from them. Not like I'm going to ask them," she added after a pause. "I'm just going to try reading vampire smells and see if it's familiar."

((Well, I've heard from Adri and he's busy right now. Don't know when we'll see him around again. For now, I guess it's just us.))
Faith just shrugged and grabbed her jacket. She had no problems getting out of the office; it would be a nice change to go out and not feel threatened. "I don't mind coming along as long as you don't mind me making notes," the woman said as she shrugged on her jacket. A few notes on Ariai's findings would be helpful to her for her case as well as for future cases.

"Notes? Not at all. You'll have to be careful that they don't grab and strangle you." She picked up Scorn and nodded. "Alright then, we're off to the streets. We should be done in about an hour...and that's good, because it's starting to get light."
"Miss Faith should take care that they don't come up from behind her either," Scorn said, staring at Faith from behind Ariai's shoulder with his luminous green eyes. "There is only so much that Mistress can do to protect you."
"He's right...if they happen to know my weaknesses I won't be able to help you..." She took on a somber look. "I, unfortunately, am not as strong as Clifford when it comes to resisting silver. You know how we first met. I was reacting to your silver pocketwatch. A couple of more minutes of exposure to the metal would mean..." She trailed off.

"Well, now I know to be on my guard," Faith said, half shrugging off their warnings. The young woman was as stubborn as they came; she would not easily admit that the thought of being atatcked by one of those creatures terrified her.

Ariai headed out the door, and gestured for Faith to follow. "It's getting dark...stay close, because I'm going to be heading into some alleyways soon. Oh...a quick change first, I don't want my gown getting dirty..." She snapped her fingers, and now she was in a tight black bustier and mini skirt, perfectly accenting her curves. Her arms were covered with black fingerless gloves, and black high heeled boots hugged her legs up to her knees. "Okay, ready."
