Mrs. Athrun Zala Jealous Dearka in the room! Dearka? Meh... I always like good complex plots, but I also agree with Kal that it might be a bit too much for just the first phase.

well....if we hint it all as we are doing in the first episode, it makes the viewer want to see more and uncover more. after the assasination attempt, the the main plot can come into focus, and we'd be able to see the reasons behind everything. besides...we only really have two more things to do in the first phase...

lala....Kal is somewhat right. But then...a lot of unanswered things usually do occur during the first episode. It's not like we ever really know what to expect.

yeah....we may have overloaded a bit, but i think it is a good thing, if we divide it into enough sections. all we need to finish off if the wedding ceremony, everyone leaving, then cagalli's "assasination-that-fails"....then the episode's finished!

you know, if you don't want me (kira) involved in making another girl dodge a bullet, he'd better leave. otherwise that, then probably right after the ceremony when receptional stuff happens...that what its called?

the reception works for me. that means everyone is outside the church, making cagalli more open to attack than inside the church. so...who shall rescue cagalli? or will she do it herself?
...is this happening in the first or second phase? we can end the first phase by showing Kali as the assasin taking aim...and then you hear a shot.
then in the second phase, you can see what actually happened?
just a suggestion...

I like the outline angel suggested. It'll emphasize the suspense that way. 3nodding
I guess maybe Shinn could knock Cagalli out of the way? After all, Shinn and Cagalli had quite a... "static" relationship throughout Destiny and it could hint towards a change in Shinn. Meh, I don't think Dearka would be good because he's a bit of a more minor character and also doesn't have really any type of relationship with Cagalli.

Shinn sounds like a really good suggestion to me. He seems really itchy to be there anyways, so it'll make it all the better that he is actually there. After the wedding sounds good, too...
Now, all I have to do now is figure out how people get married...

I think that having the shooting occur in the first PHASE would work better. Carrying things over... it makes it seem short, and the shooting works best at the end of a PHASE. I don't think we could ever drag the wedding into two PHASEs - Shinn's already getting bored.
Speaking of which... I don't think Shinn's changed that much. He's still mad at Cagalli. Everything that Orb represents... it impacts him a lot. And as we stated in the roleplay, Shinn doesn't talk with them much.

personally, the suspense of the sniper taking aim is a good idea to me. the wedding itself doesn't have to carry over. you can just see cagalli getting rescued from the shot, then switch over to something else like the EA.

I can understand that Shinn still has a lot against Cagalli, but he isn't heartless either. We need a coordinator to knock Cagalli out of the way because only a coordinator would most likely notice the shot and be able to move fast enough to get to Cagalli. We don't want to use Kira, because that would be the obvious person to use. Kira has enough credibility as it is.
That leaves us:
Andrew
Yzak
Dearka
Shinn
Luna
Meyrin
Lacus
1. Andrew could be a good choice. But he is an old man. There is no excitement in him saving Cagalli's life. Most likely he'll be off chilling with Murrue and Mwu.
2. Yzak has absolutely no connection with Cagalli. It wouldn't make any sense for him to be aware of her safety let alone presence. He might notice the sniper, but he would be off to the side by himself. Not even he's that fast to get to Cagalli.
3. Dearka would be too busy paying attention to Miriallia. Most likely if he saw a sniper, he would be protecting her not Cagalli.
4. Shinn would also be a good choice. Yes, he doesn't like Cagalli much but he wouldn't just let her die like that if he had the chance to save her. Not to mention, we could use something like this to help build a friendly relation between the two. Not right away though. Don't forget that Shinn does respect Athrun. I'm sure by now he ought to know that Athrun cares for Cagalli a lot.
5. Luna's not that active if you ask me. Can you imagine her saving Cagalli?
6. Having Meyrin save her would be a total insult. But it can also create something interesting. Hmm...need to think about that one. But I doubt it that Meyrin would be fast enough.
7. Do you really want Lacus to knock Cagalli out the way in a wedding dress? If yes, then shame on you people.
...or out of the blue...Kairryn could just save her.
Well, make your choice....I guess.
