Amri uttered a little sigh, standing and eyeing the witch that had appeared;
'I am,' she said, regarding the girl with some interest.
'Your new arent you?' she more stated then questioned.

"EHH!" Nienna jumped back in surprise. That...that girl came out of nowhere! "Oh! Gosh, I'm sorry! Didn't see you. Yes, I'm new." She smiled. She was surprised how easy it was to meet people once you went outside. "My name's Nienna Elanesse. It's nice to meet you!" She grinned broadly. "I hope I'm not inerupting something...? Quiet time, perhaps?"

'I'm Amri,' she said, looking out across the Lake and back at Nienna.
'Its nice to meet you too,' she said, managing a smile.
'There isnt anything to interrupt - I was just sitting here with my own lonely thoughts.'

"Lonely's no good." Nienna shook her head. "You don't have to go into details, seeing how you just met me and all, but I do hope you feel better." She pushed her hair behind her ears. "I'm assuming something went wrong with your guardian, or maybe a friend..." She shrugged. "Sorry. I'm poking at it."

'Its a long boring story. Of course it involves a guy,' she snorted.
'Who despite telling me that he felt that he could like me as more then a friend, now seems to have backpedalled. There is something weird going on and I dont know what. Oh yes,' she said, sitting down again and flinging a large stone into the water.
'One of the Village witches took a dislike to me because I was upset and said something I shouldnt have. Apparently me apologising immediately wasnt enough for her.' she stopped, looking at Nienna.
'God I'm sorry to have bent your ear like that..I've been keeping it bottled up is all.'

"No, no. It's actually interesting. And one shouldn't keep things bottled up. Explain as much as you want! Besides, guys are always a topic of concern for us girls." She smiled. "Love is a huge thing. I've...er...well I MUST have learned to not look for it anymore, just go with the flow. I dunno. I don't remember anything before coming here. No one does, do they? It makes you wonder. Would you like to sit somewhere? And do you mind if I join you?" Thinking quickly, Nienna wondered why any guy would change his mind about liking this girl. She was pretty. No, she wasn't giving enough credit to her creator, God or whoever. She was beautiful.

'Its good to sit here,' she said.
'I dont mind if you join.' she flicked another stone in, then wiping her hands turned her attention to Nienna.
'I dont know anymore. I even told him I loved him. But maybe that was because he was so kind and friendly. I kind of grasped at him - like a lifeboat. I was one of the first witches here and it was very quiet here. I got used to being my own company and its been hard to make friends.' she let out a sigh.
'Anywaaay, Nienna huh? Thats a pretty name.' she smiled.

Nienna nodded and sat. "I don't think I'll ever understand the mind frame of a guy. Nor will I understand the concept of 'LOVE.' It's just all too confusing." She picked up a pebble too, but just tossed it up in the air a couple of times to catch it. She blushed at the comment about her name. "Oh, I suppose it's ok. I'm not too sure where it came from, but...hey. It's only a bit of the little that I remember anyway. It has to be right." She accidently missed the rock and it hit her lightly in the head. Frowning, she picked it up and started tossing it again. "I wonder why we remember so little...but...I think it's better to focus on making new memories. I feel that my studies are more important right now..."

'What are you going to study? I study potion making.' she said.
'I think I'm about the only one around here who does. Well at least I havent met anyone who studies it yet.' she shrugged.
'I dont know why we forget who we were before. But I know that I should be able to be loved for who I am now - at least I think I deserve that.' she sighed.
'Maybe I should swear off guys!' she giggled.
'But that leaves girls only,' she chuckled.

"MEeeeh." Nienna caught the stone one last time, then sent it soaring into the lake. "I...THOUGHT I'd be studying Levitation...but now...I'm so unsure. I was so positive too. Now I don't know if it should be levitation, charms, beastology...or something else...Ack." She shrugged. "And everyone deserves to be loved. But I suppose we have to be patient first...I dunno. And as for turning to girls...er...don't look at me for help there..." She giggled. "Not...really that kinda girl. I think..." She looked a little horrified for a second then it went away. "Not that theres anything wrong with that kinda love. I mean, heck I support it, just can't think of myself like that." She grinned.

She laughed;
'I wasnt asking!' she pulled up grass and chucked it at Nienna.
'I was just saying is all.' she nodded at the list the girl spieled out.
'I kind of fell into potions. I started experimenting and got good at doing them.' Amri stretched her legs, pointing her feet, then curled them under her again.
'You should do what you like doing. Its easier then. Doesnt feel so much like learning.'
(( eek its gotten late and i didnt realise - past 1am >< - we can carry on here or in PM's - dont mind either way ))

Amri skirted the lake, a small wicker basket with pruning shears on one arm. She ducked under a branch and entered the edge of the forest, looking about around the tree trunks. She needed a few clippings, her herb supply was running low and so she came out to the Forest. The fresh air was heavenly after the stuffiness of the kitchen at home, and the forest scents helped clear her nose. She hummed a little tune as she walked along.

The faint rasp of paper was the only soft giveaway that Alair preformed to announce his presence. All ready, his herbology book was dog-eared and warned, complete with various notes scribbled within the margins of the page. Occasionally, the boy would glance over to his right at a small plant, watching at it for a few moments before returning to his book. Another page was flicked over, before his scanning eyes paused and looked up, puzzled. After a moment, he located the sound of Amri's humming, spotting the witch as she walked. "Hello! Looking for herbs?" He called, standing and brushing twigs from his pant legs. The forest was his second home, here in Hawick -- he knew it fairly well.

Amri jumped a little when Alair spoke;
'Oh hello,' she said, walking over to him, the basket held to one side. Colour rose in her cheeks as she remembered their last meeting - well at least he didnt seem to be holding an unreasonable grudge against her.
'Yes I am.' she said.

As she approached, Alair recognized her. It was the girl that Trysta argued with... Or something. He wasn't too keen on the details then. He quickly let it go, and gave her a grin. "What kind are you looking for? I can help if there are some you can't find."
