Thanks a lot Isis... I've been working on some stuff on my computer... I just haven't posted them yet... I will sometime, but I've decided to start a series of poems... one of Kharne's "Projects" if you will... We'll see how it turns out, but for now, I'll post one of the poems I've done recently...
March!
March! Onward to Oblivion! One… two… three… four… One… two… three… four… March! Onward to the Fires of Hell! One… two… three… four… One… two… three… four… March! Onward to the Gates of Heaven! One… two… three… four… One… two… three… four… March! None will take us, so we’ll take them all! March! Across the face of the earth! Its black dirt forever stained red! March! Hold nothing back! Take none with you! March! Kill! Destroy! March! March! March! And when he gets to Heaven, To God he will tell, "Another soldier reporting in sir, I've spent my time in Hell."

Anyway, with that out of the way. Dude, taking on a "Project," eh? Kind of feels a little special doesn't it? I've only done 2 Projects with the exception of my contest entry that I'm working on. It feels nice to get a Project done.

Christophe, I hope you don't mind... but I've decided to append that quote to my poem... it's kinda cheating, since you said it AFTER it was written, but I think it adds something to this that it's missing... again, sorry for using your words...

Passion flares, burns out the light, Soldiers march into the night. The fires of war light the sky, their time is now, tonight they die. Reds on reds, blacks on blacks, their bodies thrown on roads and tracks. Blood seeps beneath the surface, never knowing what it's purpose could have been if retained in veins. What would have been, without the rains of blood, and sweat, and heart, and soul. What when war's thunder never rolled? The men who died for this land, united they die, united they stand. They fight together, together at last, but now the light is fading fast. Appolo's chariot finds its place, now our men quicken the pace. Swords and sheilds, pikes and spears, this is a war for the years. Bones crumble back to dust, we must remember, we must, we must. The blood that stained this feild of white, is a testament to their might. Mighty Sparta faught not this hard, breaking bone, shard by shard. Until at last, the body breaks. The soldiers falls and the earth shakes. The last man fallen, it is done. One survivor shouts, "We won! We won!"

Firstly, your excellence continues and second, I don't mind the quote. It was something from world war two, and I'm sure that I misquoted it anyway, but anyway. Also, have you seen 300? That movie is godly. And by the way, I think you will enjoy the last few poems I've done. Yes yes, indeed, my old comrade.

I like your use of literary devices. Your poems tie together very nicely. The only problem i have is with thw rhythm. It seems a little... off. Other than that you're awesome.

Thank you for your coments Celticlady.
I've decided that, until the people make their decision, I'm going to write my heart out... so be ready! From now until Sunday at 00:00, I'm going to write, write, and write more.
Night-time sky, silent, reverant, and cold to the last.
But wait! What is this soft glow on the horizon? Burning brighter and brighter as we speak? This crimson red? Is it the sun?
No, it is war! Crushing, burning, smothering war! Fire, fire, smoke, and ash! This glow burns bright, it lights the night!
War! To WAR!! War is upon us! Choking, blinding, ever binding. Closing ‘round us, bang bang bang! Kill the young, kill the old, kill the strong, kill the weak! Their time has come, watch them hang! Their time has come, bang bang bang!
War has fallen, Death defeated. The people rise, no longer cheated. Time to pay the piper.
Push them back, take back our lands! Burn, burn, take it back! Twist it deeper, turn it black!
Now it’s ours, what belongs to us! We’ve won, now we can die.

War, most definitely, is your topic. It seems I'm dark/depressing/hopeless romantic while you are raging/flaming( xd )/war-like.
Write your soul away....I'll make sure to copy it, copyright it, and officially claim your soul!!! MUAHAHAH!

Hm... this one really leaves an impression. Not that your previous poems don't as well, but for whatever reason this one really catches my attention. Wonderful writing. And that last line is great.

Thanks guys. Lol, I liked the last line too Ami... that's why I included it last. XD I've blown the dust off the old Rammstein CD's, so I'm ready to rock. Let's see what I can come up with!
Hallelujah Howl
Thund'ring hooves cross desert plains. Clank of armor shatters ears. Shouts of Allah, God, and King peirce the arid land. This is the Hallelujah Howl! Swords fall, swoop like falcons high, sever life from life, and bring death to all men. White sands turn to red, the desert is tainted with the blood of man. Screams of agony and pain... This is the Hallelujah Howl. Glint of armor, sword and shield blind the sight of men in peril. Piercing whails of banshees sound. This is the Hallelujah Howl. Black and white, night and day, on they fight, forever they fall. Fires by night, arrows by day, rain falls forever on this eternally damned desert. Blood mingles with blood. It hisses and squeals... This is the Hallelujah Howl!

Countries torn in twain, time to lay our love to rest. Shoot shoot, bang bang, fare thee well. The final bullet to put our love to death. Peace is never coming back. We fight 'till no one's left. Shoot shoot, bang bang, fare thee well. There's a freight train coming to take us there. We await the ferryman. Shoot shoot, bang bang, fare thee well. Hand us twopence for the captain, lest we be damned to the river, forever choking on our sins. Shoot shoot, bang bang, fare thee well.

It burns, it hurts, it screams. Piercing the soul, the banshee wails. Sabre unsheathed, born to kill, the slain are laid to rest. Sleep now in the fire. Deep in the pits of hell, across plains of frost and ice treks the souls of hte damned, cut down by the blade. On, to oblivion ye lost souls! Freeze, freeze, march forever! Bitter cold, dooming ice. Inch on inch, mile on mile. Snow, ice, sleet, and rain. So foreign to the fires of war. We be men of fire, in a land not our own. Allegiance? We have none. We fight for ourselves. We fall and die, only to wake in this frozen wasteland again. Trapped forever, pawns in a game everlasting.

Heya, Dante! Glad you haven't left us (at least yet). I see you've posted a few more things. There's so much of your work that I haven't looked over yet, I feel guilty. But as I posted in Kharne's thread, I should have a lot more free time now, so I'll get commenting soon. I would right now, but I'm so exhausted.
Keep up the writing!!

Thanks Isis, and, as it turns out, I'm staying. Only four people voted besides myself, and the vote has spoken. I'm here for good. I'm going to write a little something for the people who decided to vote... I want to thank you all, and I can think of no better way than a truly inspired poem dedicated to you.
Thud, thud, the gas falls. all we can do is come out swingin'. Over the top men! Small boys become men this day... they stare into the rotting face of cruel death, and are either cut down at the root, or return to fight another day. Today you become a man! Comrades, brothers, we fight! For king and country? BAH! We fight for each other, look next to you! This man is your brother! Look into that man's eyes! Stare into the fire of the Union! We hold in our hearts, the rage of an opressed people! Fight today for your brother! Fight, and die for him, and for none other! The grip on our throat is tightening, now is the time that we sever that hand from the arm of evil! It is time for our Iron Curtain to fall over our corner of the world! Look into your brother's eyes, hold his dying body in your arms, and watch that fire flicker. Watch those eyes dim, from the fire and passion of our great Union to the grey of Death! Take up the scythe of Death and cut him down! Immortal art thou who lives this day! Immortal art thou who spits in the face of Death! Cold are the hands of the dead, but we are full of the fire of war! Take this battlefield like a firestorm, raging! Go forth, and spill the blood of your enemies on this land, our home. Avenge our dead, your brother, that died in your arms. FIGHT!
