The impact of the Iron Tail sent the tiny feline crashing into the ground; looking like a battered rag doll.
For a moment, it looked as though Kiliina was going to try to get back to her feet; but the exhausted creature gave up and flopped down, only half-conscious. That was all Falcon needed to see to know that she couldn't get up; and she hurried over to her companion.
Cale had managed to sleep through the entire battle; but as Falcon tenderly bent to scoop up her Skitty, the Dragonair's head slipped off her shoulder and he jolted awake. Looking between her and the Skitty, he knew how the battle had gone; and understood the look of pride on his trainer's face. She had given her all; and that meant more to Falcon than winning.
He lightly nuzzled the tiny Pokemon Falcon cradled close; and she let out a tiny mew. Falcon lightly brushed her cheek fur.
"You did well." Kiliina's eyes reflected an innet joy at hearing those words; before she let herself slip into unconsciousness.

Falcon blinked a little; she still wasn't very good at this whole... Communications thing. Still, she shifted Kiliina took the girl's hand; eye contact, steady gaze, firm grip...
"Falcon." She looked down at Skitty for a moment. "Each Pokemon is... Unique." She looked back up at Spinel. "Your Raichu seems highly... Competative."

A spinel grinned slightly, her raichu seeming to take it as a compliment and crawling onto her trainers head. "Yes, she takes battling seriously and does have a competitive edge. You should see Magnet, he's hopeless." Of course she was referring to her magnemite, who didn't seem to care for battles, but enjoyed goofing around and playing more.
