I LOVED the last few chapters and scattered, various scenes throughout the book. I think the middle could have been a lot more gripping, and the epilogue could have explained more about what happened in the 19 year gap. JK told everyone what the trio end up doing (reforming the Ministry and becomming important players in the wizarding government), but she never actually said it in the books, which means all the non-insane-fans who don't hang on JK's every word may never know what awesomeness becomes of those characters.

I'm happy. I was convinced JK was avoiding any gay characters, but I'm quite pleased to be wrong. It goes so nicely in the story, and gives fandom a new OTP ZOMFG!!!!!!!!!1111

Now why can't the far-more-obvious Remus/Sirius be declared canon? sad
