Richie did he best to dodge the balls of light, a few he could have managed but there was simply too many and he went scraping along the floor.
Dhum's eyes showed more worry than before, could this really be what trainers wanted to spend their time doing? "Richie are you ok?"
After a few seconds of lying there, heavily breathing Richie stoof again, shaken and tired, but ready to continue. "Pika."
Dhum smiled, though his eyes gave away how he was feeling. "If you are sure Richie, then lets try a tackle."
Richie pulled himself together and charged towards Lore.
HP: 8/30
((I know Pikachu does not actually know tackle, but I wanted to do something else besides Thundershock. xD

“Oh yeah!” Ruri clapped her hands together as the Hidden power move hit, and hit good. “Brace yourself Lore!”
Lore took in a deep breath, eyes closed as the Pikachu rushed towards him. The Tackle hit and the Meditite was thrown backwards. But he regained his feet, shaking his head to clear it.
“Ok, now… another Cross Chop.”
With a frown of concentration, Lore attacked.

Richie flinched as the attack smacked him right on the head. For a moment he stood there, with a dazed look on his face.
Dhum shouted out some words of encouragement from the side lines "Shake it off Richie, you can do it!" The encouragement seemed to do the trick and Richie shook his head and pulled himself back together, metaphorically. Dhum smiled and called out "Tackle again Richie."
In response to his trainer Richie charged towards Lore again.

"Medi!"
Damn. That Cross Chop had done next to nothing. Not only that but that last attack of the Pikachu’s had sent Lore flying. The poor Meditite looked to be in a great amount of pain.
Ruri was beginning to look very worried, but she still did her best to encourage Lore. “Don’t worry, you can still do this! I know you can! Ready…?”
The Meditite nodded, moving his aching body once more into a meditation position. He waited… “Confusion!” … The world rippled purple around him. With his mind Lore pushed at Richie. He was determined to win this battle.

Richie felt the physic force push him back, his little feet dragging on the ground try not to let his body fall backwards. Richie stood as still as he could breathing heavy, drained from almost all his energy. It was now or never. As the psychic force started to wear of Richie pulled himself together and called out, "Pika!"
Dhum knew what his little Pikachu was saying, trainer instinct was telling him. "Ok Richie, you can do it. I believe in you. Thundershock!"
With that Richie pulled all the energy he had into a thundershock, hoping it would do the trick. The bolt of electricity shot from Richie, leaving him weaker than he has ever been.

It was over. Lore let out one last pained grunt and then fell backwards unconscious. He only lay there for a second before he dissolved into a red light and disappeared into the Pokeball that Ruri was holding.
“You did good Lore. You gave it everything you had.” Sure it hurt to loose, but they had fought hard and so had their opponents. Ruri glanced over at the other trainer and his Pikachu. “That was a good battle, let’s do it again some time, ok?!”

Dhum sprinted up to Richie and scoped him into his arms. "You fought so well and even if you had lost I would be just as tremendously proud of you." Richie looked up at his tamer and smiled, before falling asleep in Dhum's arms. Too hyped up to work out how to manage to get the pokeball from his belt, while holding Richie Dhum just let him remain sleeping in his arms.
Dhum smiled at the other trainer, "That was a great battle, I thought you were going to win for sure at one point and I would be honoured if we did this again some time!"

“Great! I’ll catch you again for a milkshake and a battle some day soon. We can be battle partners!” Ruri grinned with enthusiasm as she clipped the Pokeball back onto her belt. Poor Lore would be so sore and exhausted. She had better go take a visit to the PokeCenter.
“Look, I’ve gotta go get my Meditate all healed up. See you again!” With that she turned and began to walk off. Next time she certainly wouldn't loose!
