Hyenas who do harm to others just for the pleasure of someone else's pain. They deserve all the suffering in the world. But they don't, Sauda, that's the thing. Animals, maybe even people, who do horrible things, are... content with the lives they lead and don't suffer, because all they want is to hurt someone else, and everything else is just a dull gray void working up into that moment of color when they watch someone else hurt. They deserve something that will never go to them. They will live easy lives, but... meaningless ones all the same."
His eyes opened back up, his shoulders lifting as he breathed deeply, his gaze surveying the pup and waiting.

"Rogues...?" She had heard that word once before, but the memory had slipped from her. "I don't understand why, though... Why do they hurt others for pleasure?" The thought of her old clan--her family, mainly--almost made her want to seek revenge. On disowning her, out in this cruel open land on her own.
But the thoughts soon dimished quickly. Somewhere inside of her, a smallest of hopes still thrived on that someday she may have a family that would accept her. But if that were to ever happen, she needed to not become a cold-blooded killer.

"Rogues are bad hyenas. They enjoy seeing others in pain, even moreso when they are the cause of that pain. They are... warped in their minds and utterly disgusting." He shuddered slightly, thinking of Mvyma. "I don't know why they do, they just... do."

A shiver almost ran down the cub's spine. "That's... horrible. I can't believe..." She trailed off, thinking about her past experiences in her still young life. "Do you have to be rogue to just be mean?"
