Ragweed's grin of excitement widened as he saw a flicker of a smile on Mr Baradel's lips. Obviously the man now believed that it was unlikely that he had been conned, or was playing an elaborate joke and was taking him at least partially seriously.
The nature spirit on Mr Baradel's shoulder was shifting anxiously as they approached town and before Ragweed could realise it had jumped to the ground and was hurtling back to the more naturist forests outside of Aschere. "Weapons... The most weapon like thing I've used is a sculpting knife..." Replied Ragweed not talking to Mr Baradel but looking at the bobbing behind of the nature spirit as it raced back to the forest.
With a sigh he looked forwards again at the approaching tiresome business of the city, brushing off some strange looks he and the other man were receiving from the town folk for being so ridiculously muddy. At least his new room was moderately quiet except the occasional sound from one of the other league members going around their business...

Cleph had merely dismissed Ragweed's unusual behaviour up until now, but it was impossible to miss the way the Muscheron seemed to be watching something... well, invisible. Hmm.
"That so?" He sighed, remembering how when he'd left home, with no combat experience whatsoever. How foolhardy. "I suppose that's a problem I'll have to remedy once you've become settled..."

"You'll have to settle...?" queried Ragweed looking slightly confused.
Then finally it clicked, he remembered the name Baradel from when Auguste had mentioned his division head not being able to make it to his meeting... He blushed slightly as he realised that he had embarrassed himself completely infront of his new leader calling him a 'grump'.
"Ah, your Cleph Baradel... Right? My division leader..." he mumbled digging his hands in his pockets and forgetting slightly like a naughty child being scolded. "Uh, I'm sorry for calling you a grump earlier," he winced as he said the apology half expecting the man top strike out at him with the awesome power that must've earned him his position as head of supportive magic.

"Oh right." Cleph snorted, again almost feeling sorry for the poor kid's obvious shame. He was getting so sentimental in his 'old' age. "So people have been saying I'm a grump, huh?"
If it was any consolation, the league leader's tone suggested that he wasn't the least bit surprised. Offended... well, Cleph Baradel tended to always sound like he was offended. "Well, we're even. I might be a grump, but you're the one who's crazy and seeing things."

Ragweed smiled and laughed, although Cleph seemed to be a little stern on first impressions he did seem very knowledgeable and could probably help Ragweed in developing his power so it was useful and not something that made him seem like a mad person seeing things that nobody else could. "So do you think that, if it's ok with you, we could meet up another time and we could do some work on my magic or something?" Asked Ragweed before grinning mischievously and saying, "And maybe I could see what a great powerful guild leader like yourself can do?!"
[Just thought I should remind you, incase you've forgotten, that before this scene closes Ragweed has to be given his coupon and sapphire gem for my purchase in the magical menagerie to make sense... sweatdrop ]
