trojan09 you guys remember.people pretend to be christian because their friends are.they need to know christ for themselves.without him their life will just be a waste.everyone needs christ in their life.but god will always love everyonr. neutral 1. This has no bearing whatsoever on the topic being discussed. 2. People's lives will not be a waste without Christ. Take a look at the Dalai Lama, the Buddha, Confucius, Anne Frank, Aung San Suu Kyi, Marie Curie. Not one of them are/were Christian; however, they have used their lives to do some of the most greatest things ever done.

Shiroi Kokoro no Mendori Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11: Art. 11. "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion...." America is not One Nation Under God. The "under God" and "In God we trust" slogans were adopted in the 1950s. The Treaty of Tripoli was ratified unanimously by the Senate in 1796, only 20 years after the Declaration of Independence. The United States is not Under God and never has been. 3nodding

rolandgarros ADirtyRottenPedophile Trista Din Our founding fathers all were devout christians. Some could even quote the entire Bible. Others believed you couldn't call yourself an American if you didn't believe in God. This country was started because people wanted to be free to worship God. When we started falling away is when the bad things started to happen here. There is a beautiful song by Carmen called America Again. In it he talks about how sin floods our streets like open sewers, and how from the grave he can hear our founding fathers cry, you need God in America again. "I know the only hope for America is Jesus. The only hope for country now is Him. If we repent, of our ways. Stand frim and say we need God in America again." Near the end of the song he says something that should be obvious. "If you to see kids live right stop handing out condoms, and start handing out THE WORD OF GOD IN SCHOOLS!!!" The Treaty of Tripoli was ratified unanimously by the Senate in 1796, only 20 years after the Declaration of Independence. No, our founding fathers were not all devout Christians.
Benjamin Franklin didnt even consider himself Christian, in fact, he was "skeptical of organized religion". He was more of a deist, and had his own beliefs about God, none of which follow the precepts of any organized Christian Church.
George Washington was a freemason, and so were many other "founding fathers".
Thomas Jefferson was opposed to "every form of tyranny over the mind of man". Because Christianity could qualify as this, he was opposed to it as well. In fact, he was the person who pushed for separation of Church and State in Virginia.
Special thanks to Don't Know Much About History by Kenneth C. Davis, whose book i have quoted. Also, Webster, who made the first dictionary, could literally quote the bible chapter and verse. The original dictionary had verses along with the words. Grorge Washington and Benjamin Franklin asked him to do that because they knew he would use the bible while writing the dictionary.
