Hm, taking all points into consideration, I would say that we both end up getting split apart by about 15 metres, Just for the point of continuation. :]

[I'm not being rude, but this thread here is meant for proctors and the Genin's that are arguing alone. Second hand opinions aren't needed. And I have quite the expert opinion myself, but I thank you. Next time, use a messenger to IM a proctor or myself. And your correct, they would do that in my opinion. ]

The final conclusion you guys came across worked fine. Went away to play Wii a little, and came back to see this. On a side note, simply for speculation....how would the earth nin be able to maintain grip, release the hand wraps, and perform hand seals? I don't question his being able to at least mantain grip, all points considered....

'Cause he started to use that on Sasuke before the exams without opening a gate.

But the Omote Renge doesn't require a gate, either, it's his three-hit combo once he has an opponent in the air, which Sasuke copied. That's the attack Lee used on Sasuke before the exams.
