Kenton returned as quickly as possible. "Sorry, Mis... no formalities!" He kicked himself mentally. "Sorry, Gwen." He smiled sheepishly and handed the princess over some clothes. There was a oceany blue long sleeved top, a pair of darker blue pants and a black belt which clasped with a silver buckle. Kenton also handed her a long dark grey cloak and some pink yarn which he had "borrowed" from one of the kingdom-keeper's sewing basket. "Tie your hair back with that." Kenton stated. "It would be pointless to change and then have your hair still looking elegant." He finished with a tiny laugh.
He then looked around the room for a place to keep Gwendalyn's belongings. Off course there wasn't much place to hide them. One of the chairs maybe? On the table? Or the set of drawers on the far wall, Kenton did have a key for locking that up? "Hmmm..." Kenton pondered. "I suppose just keep your belongings someplace in here. Like I said they will be safe, no meetings today. But if you feel skeptical about it. I will lock them away in that File over there." He said pointing to the drawers. "That bottom one is vaccant. Shouldn't be too difficult to fit your clothes and stuff in there." Kenton walked over to the door and looked back at Gwen.
"I will be outside by the fountain when you are ready."

Gwen smiled at him and nodded a simple thank you as she took the clothes. Plain, drab...very peasant like. She held the shirt infront of her and looked at it with her deep brown eyes before smiling again, "Thank you."
She stared at him, "Awww, but this is how my hair always is...it'll be so weird having it tied back." She sighed quietly and pulled off her crown and string of pearls, letting her brown hair fall past her shoulders.
Once he left, Gwen pulled her dress over her head with some diffculty. She yanked on the shirt and pants and quickly pulled on the black belt. She looked down at herself and suddenly felt bad, she had lived all life up in the palace in the lap of luxury..and there were others living in poverty. After her little forgeign shoppping trip, Gwen would have to go out and donate some money and cookies to the poor.
Pulling her hair back into a very loose bun-though it was kind of like a pony tail at the same time-she picked up her belongings and poked her head outside.
"I think we should hide my things somewhere. I wonder what your father would think if he found a princess' clothing in the meeting room..."

Kenton stood from the fountain and peered over at the now drab-looking Gwendalyn. She still held the sparkle of a princess, but just as him, being in the market no one would be able to tell.
He looked her over, up and down, the clothes look a little large and baggy on her, not much he could do about that, however, he olny had Kenton sized clothes, not much he could do to accomidate the princess's tiny frame. It was weird seeing her in this new attire, he actually missed the Gwen's original outfit. But it was nothing he couldn't wait until after their shopping to see.
"You look so different, Gwen!" He breathed shocked. "Do you not want to hide them in the locked file? My father shouldn't be visiting that today."

He missed the point, but that's okay.
She gave him her usual kind and somewhat crooked smile. Tugging on the hem of her shirt and fiddled with her hair a bit before looking back at Kenton, "Uhm, I suppose you could lock up clothes or something of the sort. Oh, do I look that different?"
She cocked her head to one side and snickered to herself, Good, no one from my kingdom will regonize me...

"You really do!" Kenton replied pointing to the pool of water in the fountain. "Take a look for yourself." He smiled. Sometimes he was too resourceful for his own good. Using water as a mirror, who does that? Kenton, that was who. "And whilst you gawk at your appearance I will go lock these up in the file." Kenton then took Gwen's princessy garb and walked back over to the Meeting House and carefully locked them away in the bottom drawer of the file.
Upon returning to Gwen he reached for her paw, "Ready to go, my dear?"

Gwen hurried over to the fountain and mused at her own reflection, she did look different. She reached up and touched her brown hair and sighed with content, Perfect...no one will recognize me.
She twirled around and smiled at Kenton, "Oh course."

Kenton lead Gwen to the gates firmly by the paw. They made it quickly and unnoticed into the bazzaar. Kenton's eyes wandered from table to table. 'What to buy first?' he thought to himself and then eyed the princess at his side. 'I bet she knows where she would like to go.' He stopped and spun the princess to face him. The sudden action placing a slight blush across his face.
"Where would you like to shop first, Gwen?" He asked smoothly.

Gwen cocked her head to one side and gave her trademark smile, "Oh...lets see, oh right~ I need some new cloth so that I can make new curtains for my bedroom. I'm always redecorating, which bothers daddy, I mean, he says that he could jsut pay someone to make me curtains, but I mean oh! They just can't quite get it the way I want it, I mean, I know what I want, you know?"
She turned around and looked at the people around her, for once, she fit in with a village. Sort of. Kind of poor looking, but 'normal' none the less. She suddenly caught a glimpse of one of her palace guards and ducked behind Kenton, "Oh my..."

"Cloth, huh? There are quite a few of those stands here. We have quite the variety of goods in the Esquire Bazaar." Kenton peered around for a stand and spotted one, where he lead Gwen to.
A sudden ducking of the girl caught Kenton's attention. "What is it?" He peered once again, his icy eyes landing on a palace guard. "Him?" The royale prince asked removing his cape and drapping it over the female mouse's head and frame like a shawl. "I doubt he will notice you, now." Kenton reassured continuing to escort the princess over to the cloth stand. "It will be alright, my princess."

Gwen pulled the cape close to her, "I'm sure you're right, but that seems to be my father's favorite guard. Which is our best guard. Which just so happens to be my childhood friend. Oh my. WHICH means that he miiiight just see who I really am if he takes a good enough look."
She pressed close to Kenton and held the cape closely, sniffing slightly and taking in the kind prince's scent. She tossed the guard a sideways glance before hurrying along with Kenton close by her side.
"Oh, that sounds lovely~ I don't usually wander out of my own kingdom to go shopping, this'll be quite a lovely trip indeed~"

Kenton placed a arm protectively around the slender shoulders of the princess. He, in his mind, was shielding the princess from the guard's wandering eyes even more.
"Well hopefully this childhood friend of yours will not give us two commoners more than a passing glance. I think we look rather drab. Don't you?" Kenton said taking in the unsightliness of his stained tan trousers and frayed hem of the oversized shirt Gwen adorned. "If anything does happen however, I will take all the fault. I would not want you getting into trouble over some curtains."
Attempting to draw the attention from the lurking bodyguard, Kenton exclaimed "That cloth stand looks lovely!" He manuvered her in front of it and took in the sight of all the different fabrics heaped on the table. "What colors are you looking for my lady?" Kenton asked lifting a roll of deep amethyst cloth from the table. "A nice color, do you think?"

"I'd hope not~" Gwen nodded slightly as she lookd over her shoulder once at her old friend and turned back to th stand Kenton had taken her to. She placed a dainty paw on his arm and shook her head and sa slight frown on heer face, "Oh no no. I'd never let you take the blame dear prince~ That'd be a horrible thing to do, afterall, the outing was my idea in the first place. You're nothing but...a mere accomplice, oh yes."
She pondered the thought of some kind of excuse fo wandering off once more if indeed, she did get caught. Then again, her father wasn't much for the whole punishment thing, he always understood her...he was just...a tad overprotective. Ah, but Gwen didn't blame him...
Gwen smiled as she tooked at the piece of cloth Kenton had picked up, "Oh! That is lovely~ It'd make a rather nice dress..." Suddenly, she had forgotten what color she had been looking for in the first place, she looked up at Kenton and smiled again, "I'm looking for ice blue cloth..."

"Well if you say so." Kenton said dropping the amethyst cloth and going into rummaging through the rest of the rolls. He stopped, however, picked up the deep purple cloth again and pondered it for a second. "You are right this would make a lovely dress. I am quite fond of purples." Kenton gave a small chuckle and dropped the roll once again.
"So icy blues, huh? Lets see." The prince again started searching through the materials making mental notes of the blues he came across. "Maybe this one... " He held up a striped roll in light and dark blue with smaller yellow and orange, a wide grin planted on his face. "for a shirt?"

Gwen laughed softly, "Purples are dark, but elegant. The type of dress you'd want to wear to some kind of romantic dinner~" She gazed at the stand with a dreamy look on her face before humming softly to herself.
She looked up as Kenton held up the roll of cloth and chuckled softly, "Oh yes~ I'm sure that'd look just lovely on youuu~" she replied in a sing song voice.

"Oh, yea, a romantic dinner..." Kenton trailed and took a peek over at the princess. Her humming sent a gentle shiver down his spine, a thin blush once again caressing his cheeks.
"What are you humming, my dear?" He questioned looking away and dropping the striped roll of cloth on the table.
