Well if this didn't make Altheia feel even more stupid than she already did from her previous blunder. She wondered why she hadn't noticed Tarian in there before. "Oh...right..um..." A slighty embarassed crosses her face. Not that she really wanted to ask what she blurted out next, but it was too late as her question came tumbling out . "You've always been in my class right?"

Tarian couldn't help but smirk, this girl really was seeming hopeless, "Yes I have always been in your History and English classes." she commented.

Well this certainly wasn't going well at all. So not only did Tarian think Althelia had a huge ego, but she probably thought she was a complete idiot as well. "I suppose I should pay more attention to my surroundings, but I think we learned that already with our bumping into each other." She smiles weakly and lightly scratches the side of her head with her index finger. "Can I just apologize in advance for any other idiotic statements I'm probably going to make?"

Tarian just smirked as the bell rang and packed up her book and pulling out a small binder and the history text before getting up, throwing away her trash on the way out of the caffeteria.

Finally saved by the bell, or was she? Now that she knew she had the next class with the bookworm she was sure she was going to continue making a fool out of herself. Sighing Lia grabs her purse and clears her tray in the nearby trash can. She still needed to stop at her locker real quick to get her history book. Luckily it was located just on the other side of the cafeteria. Soon she was on her way to the History class.

Tarian headed to the History class and took her usual seat in the far corner of the class opening her notebook and began to seemingly write in it.

Entering the classroom Althelia heads towards her usual seat near the front, but for once looks around to see where her lunchmate was. Ah, there she was hiding in the corner. At least now Lia understood why she had never noticed the quiet girl before. She felt much better now that she knew. Continuing on to her seat Miss Jones sets her books down on her desktop and prepares for class to start.
They still had a couple of minutes before the bell rang again and she couldn't help but glance over at Tarian now that she knew where she had been all this time. She appeared to be writting something or other in her notebook and Lia smiles to herself.

Tarian continued with what she'd been working on, only half paying attention to what the teacher was saying until he brought up a partnered project. She glanced up just as someone was raising their hand but the teacher cut them off assigning the partners himself. Tarian couldn't help but roll her eyes and groan as she was assigned to work with the cheerleader though she wasn't sure how this girl had gotten into the class after talking to her at lunch.

Awe man... a partner assignment? Not that Althelia had anything against working with others, it was just so much easier to do things on your own. With another person there was always the chance of one person doing all the work while the other slacked off. Then came the news of who the teacher put her with. Tarian the quiet bookworm.
Great...this day just gets better and better doesn't it? I wonder how many more imbecilic things I can manage to mutter in her pressence. Maybe the Fates were trying to tell her something or the Gods were testing her patience. Either way there was no way to fight this assignment as the teacher wasn't one to negotiate anything. Lia looks towards the corner seat where Tarian was sitting looking as thrilled as can be, in the most sarcastic way possible.

Tarian rolled her eyes again as the teacher told everyone to get together with their partners and work out what they wanted to do and a schedule for when they would get together.

As the classroom fills with the sound of grumbling students, desks begin shuffling as everyone moves together with their assigned partners. Reluctantly Althelia gets up and joins her equally as excited classmate. "Looks like we'll be getting to know each other better afterall." Lia thought it was kind of funny but by the looks of it Tarian wasn't as amused.

"Looks like but how about for now we just concentrate on working on the project?" Tarian asked doing her best not to roll her eyes.

Taking in a deep breath Althelia nods, "Right.. that's what I'm here for." Talking to this girl was no easy task. It seemed like everything Lia said to her came out sounding really stupid. Sitting down at a desk that she scooted over Lia gets her pen ready to write. Working on classwork was something that she was pretty familiar with so she was hoping that her booksmarts would show through her apparent ditziness.
"Ok, so let's start with our topic. I was thinking about researching the Minoans. I've always been intrigued by ancient civilizations especially those around Greece. That and I was reading an article the other day that mentioned them. What do you think? Would they be interesting enough to write a report on?"

Tarian shrugged, "It works I guess." she commented opening her binder to the history section, "So what aspects do you want to concentrate on?

There was a lot of exciting stuff to talk about and choosing one area would be difficult. Althelia thinks on it for a moment. "Hmm, the importance of their trading activites with Greece and Egypt as well as other surrounding Medditeranian civilizations. I think it would be a good start anyway. Unless there was something else you wanted to write about."
