"I know what his name is, if that's what you mean." He wasn't avoiding giving out information on purpose, he was just trying to be difficult. They kept treating him like a little kid. (even though he was)

When Writ started to walk, he had to jog a bit to keep up, not that is was a problem for him.

He listened to Fish. "What's a Blacksuit?" He wasn't worried about getting away though.

Crow was the last to start walking, and she kept her cloak closed tight in one hand to hide her wings. Blacksuits didn't sound like something she wanted to mess with at the moment. For a moment, she realized that even though they had only aged in body, it had felt like an eternity since they were together, wondering the same thing about the Blacksuits.

She still hadn't seen one, come to think of it.

Fish then mentioned Ciro. Thankfully she was behind the others, or they would have seen her eyes pop open wider than usual. She quickly shook her head, trying to repress the thoughts of her alliance to someone she barely could trust, someone obviously Fish knew--who she didn't trust either, if the name didn't give her enough reason not to. The only reason she listened to Fish was because he was one of the first players, and he didn't seen that untrustworthy.

No more than Writ and his Trickster God, she had to add mentally. Writ... Trickster... She hadn't actually pondered that before.

All of this heavy pondering and musings caused her to be quite behind the others, for she was taking rather small steps.

"Big dude." Writ said, raising a hand above his head, showing how tall these guys were, "Wears a Black... Suit." He lacked any better words to describe them, the name gave most of it away.

They kept walking deeper into Downers, Writ not really choosing any specified path. He began to think. Fish knew about Ciro. Whether or not he found out that via Persy or by meeting him, he wasn't sure. The horn kid sure did seem pretty easy on announcing his god's name, it made sense that he would be loose about his own name as well.

Least you're thinking. Coyote said, impressed.

"And that about sums it up," concluded Fish. "They've got funny vibes. You'll know one if you see one." He cleared his throat and motioned down an alleyway. "Let's head for Harbor," he said.

Well, on reflection, what Writ had said didn't sum it up entirely. Fish thought he'd seen a female Blacksuit once, but he wasn't sure. He decided not to say anything about it, though. He wasn't sure where anyone else stood as opposed to him, so the less information he gave out, the better.

However, maybe they'd slip up and tell him something.

"Have any of you seen Len lately?"

"Okay." He have to watch out for them then. He felt confident he could run from any trouble.

They walked down streets that Jubs had lived on for most of his life. When Fish motioned down an alley, Jubs spoke up. "Harbor? That'll take forever that way." He pointed to a ruined building farther up. "There's a shortcut through there."

Jubs was still a bit young mentally to really think that far ahead like the others, but he did pay attention to the other player's names. Ciro and Len must have been other ones.

Now isn't the time for honesty, Crow.

Crow popped her head up, and acted as though she had to pause and think for a moment. "Tentacle-mouth boy? Hell no. Haven't seen him since that first time we met."

It was true, but only enough that she could explain away if she actually needed to. If no one asked, she wouldn't feel guilty about lying, because technically, she didn't. At least that's just how her mind just tried to rationalize it.

She couldn't decide if it was the heat of her cloak, or her lie, that caused her to sweat a little.

"An' he's right about the shortcut." She finally added. She had only been to the harbor once or twice, but she basically knew the way. She stopped walking for a moment, and glanced down the alleyway. "Since we're on a roll call here, where's Bossy b***h?"

"Haven't seen either of them." Writ said simply, going down the alleyway Jubs pointed out.

For the kid who was being helped by a trickster god, Writ was the one being the most honest. What irony. Everyone's got something to hide but him. Except knowing about Ciro, but that was trivial.

"Say... Why are we going to the harbor anyway?"

"I haven't seen her, either," answered Fish, staring ahead at the building. It looked unstable. "Maybe she died," he added. That was a happy thought.

Considering Writ's question about Harbor, he had to ask himself the same thing. Why had he suggested that?

Oh. Right.

"I don't like Downers, there are rarely Blacksuits in harbor, and no one gives a damn what you look like."

He'd caught himself off-guard with that swear word, but the more he thought about it the better it had felt to say it.

"Hell, swearing feels good."

"So Ciro and Len are other players? How many are there?" It was all so confusing, and no one would be straight forward, not even the people running it.

Jubs picked his way through the building, barely glancing at the floor; this was his territory. He'd never been to Harbor much though, as there wasn't much food worth stealing. He could always take off once the others got there though.

For the first time in a long while, he laughed, though it wasn't a mirthful laugh. "No one likes Downers. It's not like we live here because we want to."

She caught up in time to hear Fish's response, and the rest of what he had to say.

"Yeees, swearing does feel good. You should have caught on earlier!" Crow said with a giggle. "I personally enjoy hellsbells. It rhyymmeesss." With that, she wiggled her hips slightly.

Do you mind doing a favor for me and playing with Coyote's child? I refuse to go in his realm to play with him right now. Morrigan's voice chimed softly in her head. Crow smirked lightly, 'Okay, gimme a minute.'

She then turned her head back to Jubs, and smiled lightly. "Well, that I know of, Fish and b***h--I mean MJ, started, then there's Writ, Ciro, Len, and me! An' now there's you. So that makes seven!"

She sidestepped around a pile of trash that smelled a bit off, and continued with her prance. "Yeeaaah, Downers can be safe once you get into the backstreets, actually. I never see any Suits down there. Funny that we haven't run into each other before, Jubs."

Crow, then acting on her goddess's request, easily maneuvered herself over next to Writ. Then, without warning or even looking at him, she took her hips and edged them to the side for a decent little hip-bump.

"It does feel good." Writ agreed, "I-"

Boink.

His head snapped when he felt something on his hip. It was Crow. Really really close to him.

"Ahhh..."

Suddenly, something pulled back on his neck, as if there was an invisible rope tied around it.

"Gyack!" He choked, he felt himself pulled backwards from the front the group.

Morrigan sure knows how to mess with people, doesn't she? Coyote growled, letting go of Writ, Don't give in, I think this is payback for what I did before...

Writ frowned, What did you do now?

You know that time where you were shopping for clothes and your friend acted all weird? That was me doing the aura thing.

So that was you!

Relax, let her have her fun. I know I wouldn't stop until I was satisfied. The god said plainly.

Easier said than done.

Fish, a few steps behind them, saw the gesture but wasn't sure why Crow had done it. Clearly, it had made Writ somewhat uncomfortable, though. Trying to change the subject, Fish darted ahead to keep up with the other teens and pointed to the old building.

"We're gonna go through there? Anyone know if it's stable?"

It wouldn't do them any good if the building collapsed on them.

"There's probably more than seven total," he murmured. "We just haven't met them yet."

So there were at least seven, and four of them were there now. That meant he knew at least half the players so far; less chance of being attacked by someone he didn't know was in the game.

He hadn't realized Crow lived in Downers as well, though it made sense if she knew her way around. "I don't normally go near bigger people in Downers."

Being as young as he was, he was oblivious to the sexual tension. Instead he listened to Fish. "Yeah, it's fine. Most unstable buildings have already fallen down." Fish didn't seem to be very street wise. Good to know.

Crow turned back to Jubs, "Bigger people...?"

It took a moment for those words to sink in, and once they did... Well, a giggle-fit would be the only way to explain what the hell happened with Crow.

"Bi-ggh--er--pee--pooolleesss!" She incoherently said, each syllable having to sumo wrestle with a giggle before they could manage out.

As she laughed, she pranced around even more, and once again headed directly into Writ. This time though, it wasn't just a small hip bump!
