He stared after the professor as she left.
It would be useful to know more about Hogwarts, he realized. Perhaps there would be something someone would kill for to know.
Pushing that idea to the corner of his mind, he filled his plate with more cheese-filled hotdogs -they were called hotdogs in America, right? Yum, maybe he'd bring some back to the dorm later.

Shinwa came back to the table after an hour, she yawned, having a good night's rest in the room of requirement.
On her way to the staff table, she spied Young-Jae staring curiously at a sausage, she laughed to herself, thinking how students can be so easily amused.

"Hello, Professor." Young Jae looked up. After going to various places in search of an answer to his question, including the library and attacking a wall on the seventh floor, he came back to the main scene to once again ponder upon his question.
"Do you know why hotdogs are called hotdogs in America but are called wieners in parts of Europe, lik Germany, I think?"
His stare never left the hotdog.

Shinwa raised her eyebrows, "because America has foot to 12 inches and not to ten." she stated matter-of-factly.

There was an awkward pause. "Professor, would you care to explain that?" he replied after a long while, in a tone halfway between disbelief, confusion, and mirth.

She laughed awkwardly and said, "America is just 'different' that's all it means."

"Okay," he said quietly, "But, why is it different? What made it different? Is it because of history?" He began rolling the hotdog from one side of the place to another with his fork. "Is it because of trade influence?" His quiet and dream-like tone suggested he was merely wondering more than asking, and didn't exactly need a reply.

Shinwa didn't give him a reply, instead she hit him on the head with her wand, and said annoyingly, "Who cares about sausages and muggle-related things? Here at Hogwarts we are beyond that, far far far beyond..."

"Ow!" Young Jae rubbed the back of his head, "I'm just curious, Professor. I'm sorry for irritating you and taking up much of your time." Child abuser He mumbled incoherently.

THE NEXT DAY.
Shinwa found Young-Jae staring at the hot dog. He probably stayed at the Great Hall all through the night and wee hours of the morning. ...idiocy she mumbled.
