Kurenai smiles quietly for a moment, her deep green eyes fixed on his face. "Of course I remember," she laughs. "And I used to care," she admits. "But it doesn''t matter anymore. It was my fault in the first place, not being able to take you for who you are. After all, if everyone were the same, it would be a very boring world, wouldn''t it?" she chuckles.
"Why should it bother me, acting like this?" she asks curiously, her head cocking comically to one side as she watches him take off into the air. "It''s better to put such unpleasant incidents behind you," she explains, her smile brightening. "After all, what good does dwelling on the past do? We''re supposed to learn from the past, but not comb it meticulously for finite details. My mistake that I was being narrow minded. I''d rather make amends now."

Rioko looked away from her, shaking his head. It almost disgusted him, because he didn't no how else to react... NOW Kurenai decided to accept him, after he starts dating Skyfire. He was very attracted to Sky all the sudden... and yet, how could he forget Kurenai? He wanted to... he still loved her inside... but he didn't want to lover anymore. He wanted to move on. He wanted to be closer to Skyfire... besides, D-Chan would never allow him to be with Kurenai again.
"Okay, well... uh, that's great, Kurenai. You just keep.... doing your thing," he said strangely... It was like nothing had happened at all... She was happy, he was happy, and they both were there, together. He didn't like it... He wished for Skyfire to be here now so he wouldn't have to feel so bad about leaving Kurenai. Rioko repeated to himself that he had a date with her tomorrow, and it would all be better...

Kurenai cocks her head to the opposite side. "You okay?" she asks. "You're acting a bit odd. What's the matter? Did you meet a cute girl earlier?" she chuckles. Her eyes sparkle with knowledge, as though she knows about the meeting he had with Skyfire...though, really, how could she? Perhaps she hopes that he will have found a new girlfriend by now...and that way she truly can be free from all attachments of her old life and take to her new one without any hesitation or regret.
Danyeh presses his ear to the floor of the shelf, listening intently to the conversation going on below. His tail flicks calmly back and forth. What if Rioko has found a new girlfriend? Then what? Can Kurenai really be so easily satisfied? He sighs, looking around at the rather strange assortment of items around them. A bouncy ball...a china plate...an old yo-yo...some marbles...

Rioko's mouth opened in surprise just little, but he shot it again quickly. How could she possibly know about that? He felt very nervous... and he felt oddly angry at her. He wasn't sure why though. His emotions were freaking him out... Suddenly he just felt like just going home and getting drunk. He felt like somehow Kurenai had been spying on him.
"... Y-Yes... Yes I have, for a matter of fact..." he stated, looking at her suspiciously, "Yeah, me and Skyfire are... dating now. We're meeting tomorrow too... What about you... find anyone yet...?" Rioko didn't want to stay and here the answer, but he would make himself just for the sake of it... then he would leave... Besides, maybe it would make her rethink her mood now that he was dating someone else...?

Kurenai's face lights up as she hears about Skyfire. "Really!? Oh, that's wonderful!! Skyfire used to have Sage, but apparently things sort of broke off between them. I hope you two are getting along...she needs someone, I think, a friend outside the family to be with. I hope the two of you are very happy together."
Her smile never dims as she speaks; in fact, it only seems to intensify. She spins once, her arms spread wide like an ice skater before she comes to rest again, wings flared. "Me? Nah, there are less guys around the fenthry shop than there are girls. But that's okay, really," she laughs. "I'm fine as I am! It was great being with you, but I don't need to have someone constantly telling me that I'm worthwhile. I have to learn to tell myself that."
She turns and smiles again. "I loved being with you, Rioko. But I guess it's time for both of us to move on. I hope you and Skyfire have a great meeting tomorrow. Tell her I said hello, if you don't mind," she chuckles brightly.
Danyeh smiles, glancing at Grei, who for once returns the expression. It seems that they were more successful than they had hoped...it's so nice to see her back to normal, no longer carried by the whim of others.

Rioko kept his eyes one her, not sure what to think anymore... After how she had turned him away before, and he had been angry at her, it just didn't seem right to be friends again. And besides... how could he be friends with her when her guardian was the one who banned his best friend from the FPS? Rioko's eyes narrowed at Kurenai. She was so happy... had she... always wanted to break up with him? Why did it make her so excited now that they weren't together anymore? He felt a pain in his chest; as his eyes stayed focused on her, he began to feel sickened. He still missed her inside... but she didn't miss him at all... Rioko didn't want to look at her anymore...
He turned away and his gaze moved to examine the dark sky, the stars would be visible any moment now... it was almost 9:00. His ears drooped slightly, thinking about Kurenai. He couldn't just drop all his feelings for her, though he wanted too, and he knew in his heart that she was still there. It hurt him that she could completely be healed, and he was left wishing something else could of happened... He didn't want to feel for her anymore... but he couldn't stop it...
"... Sure," he answered bluntly, wings fluttering to keep him in the air, "Well I'm going home now. So... bye."

Kurenai smiles, her own wings humming as she lifts into the air. Very gently she pulls the ash grey fenthry into an embrace, resting her head on his shoulder as she draws close. "It was good to see you again," she whispers. "I'll miss you, Rioko. But you'll be happier now, I'm sure." She releases him slowly, pulling away with the softest of parting smiles on her face. "Good-bye! Enjoy your date with Skyfire tomorrow!" And without another word, she flutters up to the shelf where Danyeh and Grei lie waiting.
Danyeh sits up quickly, trying to keep her from guessing that he was, in fact, eavesdropping. He smiles up at her as she lands, scrambling to his feet and gesturing to the wide assortment of nick-nacks on the shelf around them. "Get a load of these!!" he chirps, hefting up a small silver decorative spoon with a fox emblem on it. "What would D-chan think of these?"
Kurenai's smile brightens as she looks at the dark songfox, trying to hard to lift her mood. Really, though, it's hard to buoy her farther than the surface of the ocean...Rioko is happy with Skyfire, she is happy with Danyeh and Grei...all can finally be at peace again.
Smiling brilliantly, she hefts a small glass bauble with a fish in it and lifts it to her eye. "She'll be thrilled!" the ruby fenthry agrees. But no more thrilled than a certain fenthry is to know she still has allies.
