It's still hard for me to get my head around. I mean, this is the type of thing that you hear of, that usually happens to people you don't know that well. It's the type of thing you see on t.v or read it somewhere. It's a surreal thing. you don't fully realise how dangerous or how frightening it is until your experiencing it for yourself, you know. It's like the feeling of being in a car accident, to watching to reading or hearing about it. It never really hits home how something that seems so small and insignificant, can impact your life, your emotions, how you look at those beside you. It makes you see your friends differently; those who want to stick by you, no matter what, and those who would rather not deal with that, or who cant see why you get so upset. This experience has made me look at all of my friends. Those who stood by me and supported me and those who kept their distance. My friends and my family are all beautiful people who supported me, and made sure that I was alright. I love them for that. They didn't even mind if I got teary or emotional at some stages. So I thank them. As I do you gaians for your support. Thanks. heart

redface You are so welcome and we haven't minded your emotional times at all and we'd all do it again if we had to.

Amethyst_Crystal Has anyone had trouble with being stalked or has had family members stalked? Our family is going through it now. Basically my eldest son's friend developed feelings for my daughter and got a little carried away with trying to woo her. He even tried offering a reward to my son to get my son to persuade his sister to go out with him. We contacted the parents and have asked for him to not have contact with us in any form. The parents weren't really interested and couldn't understand why we were all upset. Then this boy started sending abusive e-mails to my son blaming him for everything. Anyway, I guess what I'm asking is how you guys have coped/coping? Please feel free to ask questions or to pm me. Please excuse me for being so brief, but it was hard enough to write what I did. not sure what your state laws are around harassment and stalking but i do know that here in BC internet harassment can and dose get your computer ownage rights taken away by the local law inforcement. and stalking in a crime that gives 10 to 15 years of jail if a restraining order is broken.

I don't know much about computer stalking laws in Australia, but the police don't take stalking very lightly especially when the person person being stalked is a minor. We have since come across another young lady who was stalked by the same guy.
