A lot of my friends are catholic, or whatever of the millions of christian denominations there are, and we mostly get on all right. I only have issues with them when they start talking about what they believe in as if it's the ONLY POSSIBLE CORRECT WAY OF LIVING.
That's why I stopped being friends with someone; she suddenly turned hardcore christian in like, one night. She is also the most selfish homophobic b***h I've ever met. I'd be talking to her about nothing even relating to homosexuality and she'll all of a sudden start bashing it like there's no tomorrow. I wouldn't normally care about the religion thing, but she started wearing this HUGE honkin' cross (it was really obnoxious, srsly.) and combated everything with a bible thing. I say, "Y'know scientists have found out that most humans are genetically programmed to be afraid of snakes." And she answers OH-SO-MATTER-OF-FACTLY, "Well duh. The devil was in the form of the snake blah blah blah so of course everyone is afraid of snakes." neutral
I mean really. There's believing something, then there's believing something a liiiittle too much. I probably offended most of you christians by saying that, but whatever.
AND I ONLY BASH RELIGIONS WHEN I GET BASHED FOR MINE. I'm a harmless athiest, really. I get dragged to church and I don't enjoy it, and I don't take communion, but my gramma acts like I just killed her firstborn.
