Dumbfounded by her question he would merely look at the mess before him before looking back to her with a rather blank expression. "I was ssupposed to measure?",he asked rather curiously before going back to mixing everything back together. "So now what?",he asked as he continued his mixing as more, and more air was mixed into the cake. Pondering he would wonder if it was possible to make the cake fly later on since there was air within it. Pushing it out of his mind he would go back to the task at hand, although it would be amusing.

Harumi stared right back at him, red eyes widening slightly at the question. She frowned, then reached up, bopping him on the back of the head. "That's why I got the measuring cup out!" she replied. "Do you think you got close, at least?" She was kind of looking forward to eating a cake, but now she wasn't sure if she'd trust it. She let out a sigh, then shrugged her shoulders. "If everything's in, we can put it in the oven." It should be about ready by now... A sudden series of beeps let her know it was in fact ready, and she hurried over to press a button, making the beeps stop.

Aris would feel a tad silly as her eyes would widen at him for his blunder. Merely raising his hands a tad defensively as he had a rather apologetic look on his face. "Umm sorry?",he said as if searching for the right words for his answer. Looking back at the bowl, the measuring cup, and the measurements listed in the book he would merely shrug. "I think I got it right...",he said as he would pull out a tin to pour the batter in. "We can?",he asked pouting slightly as he hoped he didn't screw this up to. Carefully he would pour that well mixed vicous liquid into the tin. Then finally as the last bit would come up he would just stare at it as it sat there on the ledge. "Do you want to do it?",he asked as he stared at the now filled tin.
((cripes, they forgot the yeast D: ))

Harumi gave a slight shrug, disregarding the apology. It was ok. As long as he thought he had it right. Hopefully he did... "Put it in, you mean?" She glanced from the tin to the oven, then back again before slowly reaching out and picking it up. Balancing the weight carefully between her hands, she made her way to the oven and tugged it open a little awkwardly, before slipping the thing inside and shutting it again gently. She darted back to the book, read a few lines, then rushed back to the oven, typing in a number for the timer. "...there."

Ecchi was rather hungry so he had ended up subconciously heading over to the major food area. He realized this and hoped that Hotaru didn't mind, but he was still happy from seeing her so exicted. If she wasn't into this then they could go somewhere else, there were a lot of places for them head off to. He could hear many people around them, all talking, some eating, and a lot of couples. He felt uneasy for a moment till his eyes landed upon a contest for a slushie brain freeze or something. "Wow...so much food! Let's try that one first, I'll buy you something to eat that's warm after that" he added with a smile. He tugged her into a hug as he spun her around the same way he did when they were kids, gracefully dipping her and then laughing as he tugged her back upwards.
Then he led her off the small table where those with courage were about to get a brain freeze. Whoever lasted the longest won the contest, which appeared to be some kind of prize money, not much, but you could always use a few more bucks in places like festivals, things got to be expensive. He sat down as a cherry slushie was placed in front of him along with a thick straw, and he rested his hands on the table as he immdately started to drink up when he heard the bell go off.

Merely watching her do the rest he would kneel down staring into the oven as he watched her punch in the numbers. "I hope I did it right...",he mumbled under his breath as he knew it would be mostly his fault if their little project were to fail. Sighing he would finally move over to where his jacket sat and sat down on the same counter as he began to undo his roller blades. "I suppose I can clean them now...",he said to her as he pulled them off as he revealed white socks underneath. Of course they were clean, but still he wasn't sure if it was exactly polite..."Do you mind?",he asked curiously.

Harumi stared through the oven, having turned on the light so they could see inside as it cooked. After a moment she straightened and wandered towards a counter opposite him, watching him take off the skates. She was slightly surprised when he asked, then smiled and shook her head. "No, it's alright," she assured him, and began kicking her feet absently back and forth, heels thumping almost silently against the counter. Waiting was... boring. So she amused herself by forming another random puddle in her hand, and shaping it into random things, first a sphere, then a cube, then a pyramid, and slowly growing more and more complex as she practiced.

((I guess iit'll taste...more condensed ._. since there's very lil' air in it....))
Aris would merely nod at her response as he placed the skates beside him on the counter. Pulling his legs up he would sit cross legged there upon the counter. Then rummaging about his jacket he would pull down the lining, and remove the back to reveal tools, and various parts for his roller blades. With dozens about dozens of items he had he quickly choose a few as he began to remove the wheels in question. Once he had finished that he would pick up one, and remove some more tools from his jacket as he began to clean away the sand.

Harumi watched him curiously for a moment or two, but lost interest quickly enough. She instead started touching her head gingerly where the book had hit. It was a pretty big book, and she thought she felt a lump, not to mention she had a headache. So she leaned back lightly, then closed her eyes. Her hand sat palm flat against her head, and her lips moved as she spoke silently to herself. Then a very faint glow appeared in the very small place between her hand and head, and a moment later she let it fall back to her side, and began happily humming to herself, lump gone along with the headache.

[Hotaru wants to win!! xDD She likes cold stufffff.... x3]
Hotaru half-skipped joyusly behind Ecchi, at the moment appearing to be physically and mentally... nine years old. It almost gave you a clue on how tiny her body was, but on how carefree she was too. Also, Ecchi was taller than the average 13 year old, so he looked... maybe 15? Well, in Hotaru's opinion, 15. She bumped into Ecchi when he had stopped walking, and landed on her bottom with a soft 'oof!' from her mouth. Her big green eyes looked around at the massive amount of food, her ears perked up curiously. She then shot her head over to look at Ecchi when spoke, and looked over at the slushie contest. She blinked once or twice, but was quickly brought onto her feet and tugged into a hug. When he spun her around, her feet actualy left the ground for a moment, and she gave a girlish giggle. When they went into the graceful dip, Hotaru noised, "Ah!" but it wasn't too loud. When she was tugged back up, she giggled again, her tail wagging back and forth happily.
She was then led over to the table with all the slushies, and she sat down next to Ecchi, looking at him curiously, but excitedly too. "I wanna join too!" She exclaimed, and she grabbed the slushie that was placed in front of her-- also cherry flavored. Her ears twitched when the bell rang, and she started on her slushie, swinging her legs back and forth happily because she was short enough to do so. She hummed while se sipped her slushie, watching as some other poeple besides she and Ecchi give out. There would probably be a point where it would just be Ecchi and her left; it wouldn't really matter who won, because they were hanging out together.
[It should be Ecchi and Hotaru left in the contest xDDD]

[Ecchi's kinda weak with slushies >o>;;]
Ecchi grinned slightly as he watched Hotaru on the opposite side of him, she looked as happy and childish as ever. He went back to focusing on his slushie, and he could feel his brain freeze coming already. He noticed by then though that everyone else had dropped out, which wasn't too surprising because they were all older kids. Younger kids were used to this kind of stuff and had random abilites in things that weren't important. Like being able to skip on one leg, or drinking a slushie even when you had a brain freeze. However, soon his head felt like it was going to explode if he did it any longer, and his body responded before his mind did and thrust the slushie off on the table. As if he wouldn't do that fast enough and would have a permant brain freeze. He breathed in relife, his teeth stained cherry colors along with his tongue and lips as he massaged his head. The other thing with slushies was that they always made your teeth freezing!
He felt himself rubbing his warm hands against his teeth for a moment before he heard the DING to signal that the contest was over. He glanced over, and his eyes widened when he realized that Hotaru was the winner, it just hadn't clicked that she would have actually won. He grinned a moment later, proud to know the girl who won the cheesy slushie contest. The man gave some mini speech and handed Hotaru sixty bucks, Ecchi smiled as he walked over to her and patted her head.

[xDDD Hotaru won~! Surprisingly. If it were Hime, she would've made the @.@ face and fell back all wobbly and stuffies. xDD]
Hotaru blinked when the bell went off, and she quickly finished the rather large slushie she had in front of her. It was so good! She didn't want to let it waste. She then hopped off the chair, and walked somewhat excitedly over to the man that held sixty dollars in his hand. She didn't really pay attention to his pointless speech, but rather looked around with her ears perked up curiously. There was still so much to do!! She was then handed the amount of money she had won from the slushie-contest, and she closed her eyes and giggled happily when Ecchi patted her head. It made her tail wag like crazy, finding anything close to petting pleasing.
Hotaru then handed Ecchi half of the money, giving a small nod. She then grabbed his available and wandered away from the stand that held the contest, and she randomly stopped. "Where to now, Ecchi-kun?" she asked perkily, blinking a couple of times. She was letting Ecchi be in charge for a change, not wanting to really seem that controlling. She suddenly jumped onto his back, her arms wrapped over his shoulders and around his neck like she expected him to give her a piggy-back ride, just like he had when they were younger. "Pleeaase?" She whined, refering to getting a piggy-back ride, blinking once or twice while she did.

Aris would merely continue on his way as he would set the newly cleaned object down before picking up another, and setting himself at this one. Merely taking that brush and running it along the interrior of the wheel he would stop for a momment as he began to dissassemble it as well..somehow >.> only to reveal electronics? Merely examining the contents of that electric wheel before tossing it onto his jacket. In fact he would toss all eight wheels into his jacket where he would bundle them up inside. Then he would examnie his skates before removing the lower half?! Simply continuing on with his business he would attach a new bottom that looked a tad bigger, and had placements for only two big wheels, though it looked like there was something in the skates now. With that he would pluck out four white wheels, and attach them to his semi-new skates with a smirk. Cleaning up his jacket it would look like it did before as he slipped on the skates just in time to see that bit of healing magic she performed. "Ooohhh that's useful",he commented with a smile as he stepped down from the counter, and would look at the oven. "Is it done?",he asked as he was a tad worried it would catch on fire.

Harumi watched what Aris was doing from the corner of her eye, curious but trying not to be too obvious about it. Those were some pretty neat skates, she had to admit. She smiled to herself as she gave her head another light pat, to make sure it was completely fine, and then looked up when he spoke. A slight pause, and the smile slipped into a grin. "Yes, very useful," she agreed with a nod, then glanced towards the oven. "Umm..." She hopped off the counter and wandered towards the oven, peering inside. Then she reached up, rooted around for some toothpicks, and finally found one. She took it from the box and stick one into the cake, careful not to burn herself, and when she pulled it out, she saw there was nothing sticking to it. She smiled, glancing over her shoulder at Aris. "It's done! Wanna get it out, or me?" She did notice, however, that it looked a little... flat.

Aris watched the proceedings at that toothpick would be poked into the cake. Wondering what that was all about he too would do it as well. Prodding the cake lightly in imitation he would find it a tad hard to push in, as if the cake was condensed...was that a good sign. Pulling out his toothpick as he mimicked her actions he would merely nod at her comment. "Yup it sure is done",he said with a smirk as he stared at white circular baked treat within that metallic conatianer. A thought would come across his mind as he pondered using the manipulatory powers to fly the cake out and land it safely on the ledge, though chances were it would land in one of their faces instead. Pausing for a moment he would merely shrug as he squated down nearby the oven. "You can?",he suggested as he would stand and look at the other ingredients left now. "Do we decorate it now?",he questioned as he stared at the icing rather eagerly...although he remembered the cakes lookinga bit bigger on the tele....
