I.Am Pandali So, your saying that you don't care if someone dies if they are 3 and up, but you do if they are babies? That doesn't make sense, if we went like that, there would be no people left, and no people to have babies. I believe that what the Wench is saying is that s/he (Gosh, I can't remember just now...) is pro-Death Penalty, Pro-Iraqi War. Not that he's ok with killing of humans above the age of 3 indiscriminately. Eh, personally, I don't think it's my duty to protect animals. I also don't see anything wrong with eating meat, whether you hunted for it yourself or were given it. If it didn't die by you killing it, it just would have died by another animal killing it, most likely. However, hunting for sport with no intention of eating/selling/giving the meat to anyone... That I think is wrong. Well put. I'm pro-death-penalty, pro-Iraq war, pro Gulf War, pro removal of Saddam by military force, pro removal of Chirac by military force, pro Afghanistan war, pro-lethal-self-defense when need be. I'm also anti-UN. I'm also pro hunting and pro meat. I'm also pro-animal testing for medications and medical treatments simply because I don't think that other than human testing there is an alternative, and I value humans above animals. However, I am against purely cosmetic products in general so I don't think there's a need for these to be tested (or manufactured) in the first place.

hunting for sport is in my good ol' Maryland roots. Even though I'm the first of my family born in Maryland. Lol, I'm alright, just EAT WHAT YOU KILL DARNIT! I could never do it. But I can understand it if you eat it.
Toxic, that's a brilliant idea....hmm. I think I'll take that one up with this morality teacher in school who says abortion is a woman's right and she has more say. He's a guy. biggrin

Hunting is a means for acquiring foot, pelts, and any other useful part of an animal. I'm against wastefulness as a general category. And I'm a "he". Name's Peter.

Name's Peter. I dunno, two feet are enough for me......jk. I think Andy just meant he didn't like hunting for sport, but food is okay....or maybe not?. I'm a bit different on that. Nokill sport hunting is fun. Must scare the heck outta animals, but they live. Coons, foxes. Fun's in the chase. Besides, animals chase me, and it's good to instill a nice fear of humans in them so they stay out of our trashcans, off the roads, etc. Course that's done with dogs and not guns, so it works out well, this little terrier's got a nose for them. Think I'm gonna build a terrier tunnel for her. Maybe she'll stop killing birds....

Congratulations on your dog killing birds! good doggie.

The hunt is the whole fun though. I mean, once you've got it cornered, what's the fun of shooting it? You've got it. No point killing what you don't have a use for. That's why I enjoy rat, squirrel, coon, and fox hunting (though I havne't done the last two; don't have hounds, and don't have a horse. or someone to wave and say, tally ho! Then again, I can tally my own hoes....sorry, I'll shut up, lol.). All in the chase. Especially if it's given a good run. Let it live in hopes of chasing it again, or its offspring.
Before someone calls PETA on me (darn bunch of lunatics who wouldn't know a cat from a baby...they have equal rights afterall, and of course, we shouldn't keep pets because hamsters, cats, dogs, horses, cows, etc. would be much better off out in the world to get eaten by predators or hit by cars instead of being fed, housed, and loved all their lives. Don't get me wrong, animal abuse sickens me, but giving animals human rights does too. WHatever happened to good old common sense?), don't worry. I don't let the dog do any more than frighten a little, then I lay out old bread crumbs and other unuseable foods for them before leaving. I do have some of a heart......

rats and squirrels don't provide much tasty food. Deer and rabbit are different stories....but still, I'm just not a killer unless in self defense. Meaning, if I'll die or be hurt very badly without it. this includes hunting for food, but I won't die if I don't have that meat because....I can buy meat where the dirty work's been done, all for less than ten bucks at my local giants.

I.Am Pro-'Choice'rs seem to think that Pro-Lifers are only males and women who are tricked into giving up their 'rights'. This frustrates me, and I want to hear what the rest of ya'll think. Some things said by them: "It's not his body. My body, my choice." "Their [men] only reason is we are "killing" their boys." "I don't understand why some women want to revoke what should be every woman's right to her own body. It really sickens me." I hate how they always call it a right. It is a privilege. Okay the subject is based on morals, and yet no one sees it for that. Most men probably are against it because it is murder. Not to take away a woman's "right" to her body. And most women probably view it the same way. I also think that women need to take some self-responsibily. You got knocked up and you now have created a living being. And abortion is the easy way out. Why do I always ramble in these things?

Pandali Animals aren't as important as humans!?!?!?!?!? They may be the lesser beings on the earth, but it is our duty to protect and care for them as the higher beings, and that does not mean they are not as important. Pro-life does not necessarily mean just against abortion. It can include other things as well and should be included when you say that you are prolife. ... animals are lesser beings. And they belong in my tummy. And I will NEVER ASSOCIATE BEING PRO-LIFE AS TO MEAN I AM ASO FOR ANIMALS. -There's nothing better than eating small animals. -My BIOLOGY teacher.

The thing that gets me is how many women are threatened or pressured into abortion. It's just another way available for dominating men to manipulate women who are emotionally weak. Those are the ones it really hurts most...don't take that wrong, I know the fetus hurts and dies, but the woman has given into the pressure or been forced to have her baby's life taken inside of her. Most women who are forced are weak, emotionally, submissive, and don't stand up for themselves and don't really know how to. By the time they're knocked up, guys've got them estranged from friends and families. Heavy depression, physical trauma, and endless guilt haunt them throughout their lives. Some just...kill themselves. I don't agree with suicide, but in a case like that, I sure understand feeling the need to. Those are the women that prochoice side doesn't like to mention. But there are a lot of them. It's so....sad. I know people like that, girls like that. heck, I used to be just like that. It's why whenever one of them is starting to become distant, I always jump in and pull back. But I can't do that for everyone. ALl the girls out there who think they're worthless. All the girls out there who are TOLD they're worthless, who think everything wrong is because of them, they don't deserve the people they have even though the people are making them deeper into this abysmal fog, I can't help them all. Most I can do is hold on to the ones I know. Dammit, though, I want to help them all. Maybe that's why I'm so opposed to abortion. I look at some of these women's faces and think, that could be my friend. That could be my cousin, sister, me. Why are they allowed to be hurt like that? Why is it so easy for them to be treated as things and not women? Why is it easy for men to hurt them and know they can always force an abortion if an unwanted baby comes along? Why is this so easy? On the flipside, why is it so easy for women to completely disregard their husbands' or boyfriends' health emotionally and mentally, why can a man's child be taken from him, right in front of him, legally? Killed. And he has no say, no right. He has to watch the woman he thought had loved him kill his baby. Men ought to be pro-life, because all pro-choice gets them is easier sex. Which really I guess ain't so bad for them, but I dunno, if everyone on my side of an issue was in it for sex, I think I'd kinda have to wonder how it made me more of a person...in fact, I'd have to feel it'd make me less of a person.

Wench - first of all, sorry about the misunderstanding on the whole pro-death thing, I understand now.
Second of all, there is a difference between importance and higher duty. I am not a vegetarian, but I don't believe they are not as important as we are, I just feel I have a higher duty to my fellow human than to an animal. Think of it this way: say there is you and someone else, you can either save you or the other person. If you choose yourself, it doesn't mean that, straight down to it, you are more important than they are, just that you feel you have a higher duty to save yourself than them. If you save them, you are very kind and simply want to help your fellow person, but that doesn't mean you are less important than they are.
