Why is Bleach Named Bleach?

Kay, so "why is Bleach called bleach?" you ask. I read something on this in a shonen jump magazine. It was an interview with the guy that wrote bleach and he was asked the exact same question. His reply:

"I wanted the comic to have anamerican name and the comic is sort of like black vs. white when you think about it as the hollows vs. the shinigami. White seemed so plain and didn't sound all that mind boggling so I though a little harder about it and came up with the name "BLEACH". It was an appealing name that caught my imagination and it was almost the same same meaning as "White". So the name stuck."

Not to brag, but I've met Tite Kubo before, and he's like the sweetest guy on the planet!

and I asked him the very same question
and he said that bleach was originally meant to be snipe
and be about guns
the soul reapers had the arrancars outfits, and the arrancars had the soul reapers uniforms

but Mr. Kubo decided it to be about fantasy sword fighting
so he BLEACHED (thats were the name came from)
the arrancars uniforms

and bleach was born
and I woundnt want It to be named anything else
