I'm sorry but have no idea how you feel. Sure family members of mine have passed but to commit suicide is a different matter. You start to think about, as you did, how someone could be so sad, so alone, that they would or even could have the strength to kill themselves. It's a sad process it really is but unfortunately, irreversible. All you can do is work through it and just remember that with for every sad moment, there’s a happy one.
That’s all I can say mate. Sympathy can only do so much and isn’t usually preferred when there are people to empathize with.

I have to be truthful, I've been in the same position as the boy, but clearly I was too cowardly to go through with it. Things can happen which are so incredibly traumatic, but as I should know, it's not that difficult to hide it from the people around you if you really want to.
Even if someone you never knew committed suicide, you can easily recognize the pain that his/her death has caused. It's called empathy and every human should have it. Death at one's own hand is something we can't imagine because we've never experienced it. We can only know that something horrible happened and you wish inside that you could have done something to stop it. Sorry if I'm not making any sense here.

I would probably be one of those kids who were making the Jokes. Or at least one of the people laughing at the jokes.
I honestly have no sympathy for anyone who commits Suicide, well, except for a few rare cases. In fact, I think it's one of the most Selfish things a person can do. If you have a family, and friends, and a life, commiting suicide is ending your pain, but spreading it thick like peanut butter across everyone who knew you.
I spoke earlier of rare cases in which case I do feel for Suicide-ees, and that's when they truely have no Family, and no friends, and no life to speak of. That's when it's Acceptable, if not the right thing to do.
Saying all this is a pretty bold move, becuase I'm relatively new in the guild, and not many people understand how I think, yet. But, I had to voice my opinion on such matters.
Last minute edit: Before you respond, if you even do, that is, don't think I'm an insensitive b*****d who doesn't even know what he's talking about. My cousin commited suicide when I was Nine.

No matter what the cause, it's sad when someone passes away, even if you don't know them. I have a strong belief in heaven and the life after this one, so I'm not heart broken when a loved one dies -I know I'll see them again one day. But even so... being apart sucks. So showing support to those who have lost a loved one, even if you don't know them, is the best thing you can do.

*Sigh* Well I do appreciate all of the comments and opinions, but I guess I should really come clean...I've been struggling with thoughts of suicide on and off for about 4 years now...I keep telling people I'm over it, but I still think about it every once and a while if things get really bad. The only good thing I guess...is that I'm always too scared to ever go through with it....

Maya Goddess of Flame *Sigh* Well I do appreciate all of the comments and opinions, but I guess I should really come clean...I've been struggling with thoughts of suicide on and off for about 4 years now...I keep telling people I'm over it, but I still think about it every once and a while if things get really bad. The only good thing I guess...is that I'm always too scared to ever go through with it.... That's okay Maya. I'm the smae way. I've been "suicidal" for a while now, toying with the thought of dying. I'm not afraid to do it though. The thing keeping me back is, frankly, what Valgron Sairus stated. Quote: If you have a family, and friends, and a life, commiting suicide is ending your pain, but spreading it thick like peanut butter across everyone who knew you. If my friends truly didn't care, and neither did my family, I'd be gone already.

A very dear friend of mine atempted suicide four years ago, I saw signs of it, but I didn't think it'd really happen... I felt so horrible, I still wish I thought more of it and showed her my love more than I did. It was lucky that she survived, but when I heard the news, I was so confused, and I wanted to see her really bad. Even now I think about how much I'd hate myself -hate life, if she'd died... What I mean by this is, if you have thoughts of suicide, please-please-please have patience with the world, please -look for love, anything that makes you happy, in pursuit of that you'll find allot of reasons to stay alive. And it'll spare all of that pain from those who love -it could destroy them just losing you. -I wanna' say more, but I have to go... please just take it to mind
