Rindolus watched as she left, his eyes following her figure before she disappeared. Immediately, once she had disappeared, the elf gently clapped his delicate hands, just loud enough so that they would echo across the chambers, but not so that he would hurt himself. Once he had done so, the Steward waited in the silence of the room until two elves, who were draped in long robes, came from one of the side doors of the giant room to stand before him. Once they were standing before them, they each knelt before his frail figure, their faces covered by hoods, making it impossible to read their expressions. But of course, Rindolus could see, but he kept it silent as he motioned for both of them to rise, his voice aiding this motion as a faint whisper.

As soon as they did, the Steward spoke, his voice quite hoarse after the conversation he had with the female elf earlier; he was not use to speaking so much in a day. "The reason why I have called you here is because of a certain elf that I have just spoken to." Both of the elves snickered before he continued, a faint smirk spreading across his pale face. "Yes, I think you understand what my wishes are."

"Of course, my liege," said one of the elves, bowing as he spoke. "We will dispose of her, immediately," replied the other. Chuckling (which was more fits of coughing than anything else), the Steward nodded, motioning his hand in a "shooing" motion to have them leave him. Getting the message, both elves bowed once more and then turned to leave before Rindolus spoke once more, forcing them to stop in their tracks. "Make sure that she suffers...."

Sable relaxed by the water before slowly getting up. She walked through the forest, loving the green. She hummed quietly as she made it back to the village. Her long ears flicked as she looked about. Each elf was walking along, not sensing anything wrong.

The girl shrugged and made her way to the smith hut, the only building truely on the ground, having a hot kiln. She stepped into the hut, seeing her father, covered in soot. She gave out a small groan, "Daddy, I just cleaned that out... Couldn't you have waited a little longer?"

The elder elf gave out a laugh as he rubbed his bald head. He was one of few who actually had a clean head, but he had a reason, fire completely burned it off.

Sable glared up to her father, slapping his arm slightly, "Well, make whatever's need to be done... Any daggers orders?" The elder elf shook his head, "Nope, just some large swords for the men who can carry them..."

The girl nodded, "Ok, I'll leave them to you daddy..." She gave a smile to her father and stepped from the hut, sensing something odd once more.

After Talen left the castle she headed back out of the town and to the forest. Before long she felt the prescence of someone behind her and was assured of that when Sint warned her about two high elves that seemed to be following her. She thanked him telepathicly but didn't turn around to face them. Instead she kept up her pace not showing any sign that showed that she knew they were there. After a while the trees began to grow denser until she had to squeeze between two. Beyond those two there was a large and surpringly beautiful lake. She jumped in without a sound or a splash of water and dissapeared into the water but watching the surface for the elves to appear.

The two cloaked elves moved elegantly as they followed Talen, their hoods now flung off from the resting places, due to the pace in which they ran, revealing both of the faces. Each had sharp features; no part of them was curved in anyway. And then, due to these simularities, one would realize that the two persuers were brothers or at least related in a close way, which they were. Both elves were part of the High Council, members of a rich and powerful High Elven family that had survived through the hardships at the very beginning when the Shrine was taken from them; they were the sons of Tern.

Both elves moved swiftly as they followed the "traitor". It even seemed as though their feet were not even touching the ground. However, there was one thing in which they lacked: they did not have the connection with nature, making it impossible for them to hide themselves well, which was why Talen had been able to feel their presence. Of course, the Tern brothers did not know this; they believed that their presence was unknown.

As they got closer, both of their faces lit up with excitement as Talen's figure came closer to them. And, just as Syn (the first brother) had reached for his bow and arrow and Beldome (the second brother) had reached for his dagger, their prey suddenly jumped into a lake, disappearing from view. Immediately, both of the elves ended their pursuit as they entered the clearing, slowing to walk before stopping completely in front of the lake. "Where is she?" Asked Beldome, as Syn placed an arrow in his quiver and released, sending the shaft into the surface of the waters. "Well," replied the brother as he watched the arrow disappear into the darkness, "there is only way to find out..."

Sable's ears twitched once more, now sensing a small disturbance in the lake nearby. She carefully moved through the trees, glad the village was far enough from the lake. She stopped behind a tree, seeing two figures on the opposite side of the lake. She quickly moved about the trunks of the trees, getting closer to the lake to get a better look to the firgures.

She stopped by a tree hanging over the water. She looked about the water, seeing an outline of someone in the water. Her ears flicked as she looked at the two figures still on land. She glared to them, What are High Elves doing on Wood Elven land?

As soon as the arrow entered the water Talen jumped out followed by the water tailing behind her. Her eyes were of cold fury "If this is all that fool has sent to get me he has seriously under estimated me" she thundered as She whipped her hand at them and the water which had been trailing her now spun around them for a few seconds before freezing into solid ice. Lowering herself slightly she stepped onto the water but didn't fall through, she stood elegantly like a queen but the anger still shone clearly in her eyes. She looked at the block of ice angrily muttering things like "how dare he" and "if he thinks he can just". As she was continuing her angry mutterings Sint had caughten sight of Sable as he perched in the trees above her he gave a loud whistle in a language only Talen could understand. Her head spun around to look directly at Sable her silver eyes betrayed no emotion on her face as she said "Come on out I'm not one of them" she took another angry look at the block of ice then looked back to the forest. Sint had left the trees and was now resting on Talen's shoulder. His feathers glinted silver just like her hair and eyes as he looked at Sable cautiosly.

((Let's keep the excitement for a little bit longer razz ))

The two elven brothers had looked up at Talen in amazement as she rose into the air, the water trailing her image like the elegant feathers of a peacock. But before they could even do anything, the water that had once been behind her, now swirled around both Syn and Beldome, trapping them within its powerful force. As they cried out, the water quickly froze, trapping them within a block of ice that had once been a swirling mass of liquid, silencing their cries. However, Talen had believed that both of the elves had been killed. Or maybe she did not and had just made it seem like her guard was down. For, if she herself was a High Elf, than she would know that there are many tricks up the sleeves of High Elven folk.

As the moments passed, the sun became brighter and brighter. At first, one would think that the sun had just gotten free of some clouds. However, as the rays became more intense, one would soon realize that something was not right. But of course, it was not a natural phenomenon that was occuring: it was the power of the Tern brothers. Soon, the heat all became focused on the block of ice, creating a powerful beam of hot energy that began to melt the solid liquid until the tops of the elves were freed. As soon as their limbs were movable, Syn, quickly placed an arrow in his bow and aimed at the elven woman, soon firing...

Sable quickly jumped up, standing on her toes on the tip of the branch. She looked to the other elf, her downward facing ears flicked back. She kept quiet, staring down to the other. She looked to the bird, glaring to it, "What are you? This is wood elven territory, your best chence is to leave, high elf!" Her voice was strong, but not exactly threatening.

The girl quickly jumped down, curling into a ball. She landed in the water, creating a large splash right next to the other girl. She stayed under water, quickly swimming back to her village's edge of the water.

Talen watched the girl but then looked to meet the arrow but before it hit she suddenly dissapeared only to reappear a few feet away and watch the arrow sink into the water. She placed her eyes on the two men who had fired the arrows. "Are you just trying to make this hard on yourself" she asked. As she said this clouds began to roll in rather quickly and as she looked up to the sky her eyes seemed to grow more silver and shinier. Then the rain came down in a blast, obscuring vision and hearing. Talen walked slowly across the water towards the men, she could see them perfectly since the rain didn't affect her vision but for them it was a different story. To add to the rain wind began to course through violently throwing punches at the men on the shore. Talen suddenly had two scimitars in her hands. They were both beautifully crafted of Elven silver and had blue hilts with watery disigns. In the middle of the hilts there were four small saphires that circled a large one on both.

The two brothers watched in fear as she spoke, after she had transported from the arrow that had been fired at her latter position. Of course they were not fearing the fact that she could teleport, but the fact that they could feel her aura rising at a dramatic rate; she was becomming something much more than they had anticipated. When she spoke, the elves took a few steps back, fearing the worse. "How come you are not on the council with such incredible powers? How come you were overlooked by the elites?!" Questioned Beldome as his hand tightened around the hilt of his dagger. "Someone this power should have been controlled!" Syn, however, just stared, unable to speak as her eyes began to change as clouds began to form above them.

A powerful rain soon followed the dark clouds, making it impossible for them to see clearly, causing a horrible fear to clutch the hearts of the Tern brothers. "Where the hell is she!?" Cried Beldome, soon thrusting his dagger at where he believed the girl to be. But of course, his aim was completely off; the dagger just fell useless to the ground. But, even if he had targeted the elf correctly, the power of the rain would have knocked it off course; it was that powerful. The two High Elven spies were even beginning to bleed due to the force at which the rain fell.

From within the constant bashings of the rain, both Syn and Beldome spotted Talen for the first time since the down pour had begun. However, it was not because the storm had lessened, but because she now held two scimitars which both shown bright in the darkness, casting a light upon her figure as she made her way towards them. "She has an incredible power," said Syn finally, as he took another step back. "If I remember correctly, this girl and her family were labeled as a commoners within the Kingdom. She is one of the many who Rindolus labeled as being a nuiscance... a class which Kandal thought was unneccessary... but if that is so, how come Rindolus did not see the power which she truly posseses?"

The other, Beldome, did not have an answer. Instead, he drew another dagger from his side as she continued to make her way towards them. "I don't give a damn! She might as well be Wood Elven scum! May she rot for contaminating the Kingdom of Rindolus!" And with that, the elf charged forth at Talen, his dagger held out in front of him as his figure shot towards her.

Talen parried the dagger swiftly and the rain the was falling began to stick to him in ice and it wasn't long before he was completely covered with it. She then looked at the other man "To answer your questions, I was not overlooked because i was never looked at, today was the first time in years that i have stepped foot outside the forest, instead i have been in the forest training in my techniques of water and air, along with some other elements for over a hundred years. I have no family either they have been dead for quite a while. And just so you know your brother was right i might as well be a wood elf for even though i look like a high elf my spirit belongs to the forest." She gave him a slight smile then and the rain began to lessen until it stopped and the sun returned. She looked to the other man who was frozen and the ice began to melt. When it was all gone her eyes had turned to normal and her scimitars hung by her sides gleaming magnificently from the downpour. "I believe very much in the act of mercy so if you both leave now i will spare your lives. Oh and please tell your king that next time i won't be so merciful" She gave them another smile and then turned back into the lake and jumped in, dissapearing into its deep depths.

Beldome readied himself to strike at Talen once more after she had successfully parried his attack. His arm was extended in the air, his dagger held above his head, but it never fell upon her, for he had become frozen solid. Syn meanwhile held his bow and arrow at the ready, aiming directly at the elf maiden but never firing; he was not sure what she would do next and he did not want to waste his arrows if she was just going to dodge or block with one of the scimitars which she held in each hand. Instead he just stared, his eyes never leaving her, even after his brother had been frozen. He knew that he was still alive; it would only fair him badly in the end if he concentrated on him. He had to focus completely on the traitor that now stood before him.

During the time in which he watched, the rain began to stop until the clouds melted away, allowing the sun to shine over them once more. As this occured, Talen spoke, her eyes also staring into his own, hatred swelling within her with each breath she uttered. When she had finished speaking, she smiled and then turned from him, jumping into the waters which engulfed her image entirely as if it had swallowed her whole. For a while, Syn just stared as Beldome returned to his origional state, looking around wildly (for he did not know that he had been frozen, so, in his point of view, she had just disappeared out of nowhere). But he soon realized what had occured after looking at his brother; he could read his face perfectly and thus was able to reach into his mind and read it like a book.

Sighing, Beldome made his way over to his brother, sheathing his weapon at his side before speaking. "We must go to Rindolus, immediately. He must be informed of this traitor. She will most likely go to the wood elves and tell them of our plan..." But Syn did not answer for a while, his eyes were still on the water; he was deep in thought. But when he did answer, his voice was low and almost silent; they were now faced with something quite serious. "Yes, you are right. This may turn out for the worst... because of her, the war might end out differently than what Rindolus had planned..."

Though unseen Talen watched from under the water for a few minutes before turning and swimming farther into its depths. As she found the bottom she searched for her bag that was hidden under. She found the air bubble she had placed it in easily along with her other things. She turned as she grabbed them and kicked her feet out towards the surface. On the other side of the lake she slipped out of the water and into the trees before the men on the far side of the shore could see her. She was following the girl from earlier and bent towards the ground to find the tracks. The girl had been quick and light on her feet so that even for Talen the tracks were hard to make out but when Talen found them she followed without haste hoping to soon find her village where maybe she could be accepted and help with the war. She smiled grimly that steward didn't know what he was getting into when he insulted me, she thought. Well now he does and she returned her thoughts to the tracks.

Both of the elves returned to the Kingdom empty handed, each one of them fearing the wrath of the Steward, for they had failed to rid him of the trouble maker that he had seen to have been a threat to his plan; Rindolus was known (even though he had been in power for less than a week) for being quite cruel to those that did not do as he wished. Not so long as a second passed before they had closed the great two doors behind them, did they hear the haunting words of Rindolus echo across the royal chambers. Both immediately froze, afraid to turn and face the elf. But after only a moment's hesitation, Syn, the eldest of the two brothers, turned to face Rindolus, his face grave and fearful. "Your lordship, we were unable to catch the girl. She was much more powerful than..."

"Silence!" Interrupted the King. Even though he could not reach a tone that normal men would be able to grasp, his voice was still quite menacing, despite the weezing that followed, most likely because of who it was that was speaking. Immediatley, once the word had left his lips, the Steward rose to his feet (with much effort, but now with the help of a walking cane), his eyes glaring down at his two followers. As one would expect, Syn immediately became silent, his eyes falling to the ground below him. "Do you mean to tell me that you failed!? Do you understand the consequences of this failure? She is a High Elf... a High Elf who has now gone to warn those who we wish to defeat. And if she does return, she could form a rally to her cause..." Rindolus had to break in his rant, for a coughing fit soon caught hold of his lungs. However, once they were cleared, he continued, but this time with less energy (he also sat himself back down on his throne to make it easier on him).

"I would have normally ridden myself of you... but, as times are dire, I need the most elves as possible. Your mission now is to make sure that that girl does not enter into my Kingdom again. If she is spotted, she must be immediately killed..."

"Yes your highness but..."

"I do not care how powerful she may be, or how powerful you believe her to be. I want her dead if she comes near here again. I do not want to be forced to face her myself if she does choose to return. She has been living with the Wood Elves, has she not?" After he had spoken, both brothers looked at eachother, not believing that he had figured it out. Had he read their minds? "If she has, then she should have a weakness, for all Wood Elves do. They are too caring. Use that to your advantage. Now, alert the people. Create propaganda for all I care. Just make sure that the public is against her... and make sure that the army knows who she is and not to let her enter my walls. Understand?! Now, get out of my sight."

Without needing to hear a second time, both elves turned and left to go and fullfill the request of Rindolus, their Steward. As soon as the doors closed, Rindolus slumped back in his throne, groaning as the pain within his chest grew. "The fools," whispered the elf aloud as he clasped his chest. "If only I was able... I would deal with all of this myself... Servent!" Immediately, a weary elf appeared out of nowhere, bowing before the one who had called him. "Set up a meeting with the High Council. I believe that the war must be moved to an earlier date... we have no time to linger..."

Talen followed the tracks all the way to a small village surrounded by the forest. She smiled slightly for it was like all the others she had seen but not entered. But this one, she planned to enter, she reminded herself but hesitated. She didn't want to be made out as an enemy, what if they attacked her. If she defended herself they would most likely see her as an even bigger enemy. She sat there, silently contemplating the chances of her not being attacked, and decided that if these folks hated high elves as much as the other villages then it was only slight that she could enter unscathed. At a loss of what to do she sat in the shadows watching the people go by and looking for the girl that had been by the lake also.
