ok two new poems, i thought of the ideas in the car it was ok but the second is a work in progress...
only human
I’m not a god or angel Nor a demon or beast I’m just me Human to the core I’ve made mistakes I’ve fell down Bu still I strive for more More power Knowledge And perfection of my kind To right the wrongs I’ve seen so many times All the crimes I couldn’t stop All the times I’ve been caught In a net of lies I’m not perfect Far as I could be ‘Cause I’m only human And that’s all I’ll ever be
I can’t turn the world just for you That’s something I can never do I can’t stop life from going There’s no pause button in my hand But I could never let go of your hand And be alone I could never crush a spirit And keep on smiling I couldn’t kill another being Without falling to the ground And crying until I choked Those are things I’d never do
I’m not a god or angel Nor a dreadful demon or beast I’m just human As human as human can be And no one could ever change that Not you are even me I’m only human And that’s all I’ll ever be
ok this one is the work in progress so be nice cause i couldn't get it down right
Death
Death is something That tears us down Death is something you can’t get around It’s something that can’t be stopped Postponed but never stepped around It makes us forgive It makes us remember And it tries to make us forget The days The hours The seconds That you had When life had flourished Death is was makes us cry It makes us want to die as well And when you’re sitting there And listening to the sermon And the sun shinning on Or the clouds and the rain Pounding around you The weight is dropped above you head And hits your heart Like a javelin through the chest That the loved one Lying dead before you Or ashes in a pot That their not coming back They’ll never smile They’ll never pick you up When you’ve fallen And can’t get up alone And then you can’t cry And you can’t forget
