Se Ga Takai Don't get Itunes, I is EXTREMELY pissed at them for the moment. I bought a copy of Pinks new Album Friday Night, and teh laptop that it is on crashed the morning after. I paid $10 for ONE LISTEN to teh Album. It will not allow me to download a second copy, regardless of the fact taht I paid in full fo rit. those bastards stare are you trying on the same computer? because if you are, then it should let you download it again. just click "Check for Purchases" under the Store menu at the top. if you're not using the laptop, then you'll have to get it up and running because other computers have to be authorized before you can use your account on them. if that doesn't work, just e-mail them and say you didn't receive it and explain what's going on. i'm sure if you sound upset enough they'll refund it for you. Kari Seregon .so you know how much I need you.
Hm... That's another thing I've been thinking about. What's the fuss about iTunes? I don't use it because I don't have an iPod, but even people who don't have one still have iTunes. So what's the advantage of it?
.and is this my final chance of getting you?. there's no real advantage to iTunes. it's just better than other music program buying dealies. Rhapsody is crap (i hate Real in general, so i may be biased), and i think Napster charges more. plus they have TV shows, Disney cartoons, and movies. i mostly use it because i have an iPod and it came with it, so it's more a convenience issue than anything else.

I can't download it on the same computer. The Computer I downloaded it on was my Laptop, and it will no longer charge. I tried downloading it onto my Desktop Computer, but it wont allow me to because it only allows one download. If teh Laptop still worked, then I could easily pull it off teh HardDrive and onto my Desktop PC, then burn it onto a Disk, but that isn't a viable option.

I'm not interested in paying for my downloads. *Shrug* No point in having software that I won't use. And as for a program to play my music, I use Winamp.

and declaring your own victory over someone before they even have a chance to reply isn't a good debate tactic. Might want to watch that.

Meh, call it stealing, call it finding loopholes, call it whatever. Bottom line is I feel no guilt when I download music or movies or TV shows. And I'll keep doing it until my external drive is filled up. xd

Might want to watch that. i was joking with the "pwn" thing. <_____< this isn't a debate. it's a discussion. i used to believe that record companies were evil, artists weren't getting supported, blah blah blah. but the point is that most artists get a nice fat paycheck. the companies simply pay themselves for offering their services to the artist, i.e. marketing and distribution. do you think a band could get popular without being assigned to a label? probably not. people aren't wandering minstrels anymore. and stealing implies without consent. i'm pretty sure most musicians have to sign a contract with the company they sign on. if the artists are truly worried about their music then they leave it, simple as that. but when all is said and done ... i really don't care either way. i just buy music so i don't feel guilty about it. might not be true for all people though. it's just my conviction.

Yeah. If I don't buy a CD, then that's one less Gallon of Gas in their Yacht. And an Episode of "Cribs" on MTV later...and I feel no guilt. I'm still fighting to pay rent, keep my car running(and legal), feed myself, and perhaps save enough to go back to school. I don't need to hear about how someone else is losing money because I don't drop $20 for every album they produce, when there is only one or two songs on the entire album I like, and that one ends up being played every half hour over the radio anyway.

The only ones sueing the downloaders are, though. The 'Poor Artists' are the ones that would kill just to have their name well known. But that's alot harder to do now, with the RIAA sueing everyone that breathes.

"If I don't buy a CD, that's one less gallon of gas in their yacht." who are you referring to by "their"? and that's why you get iTunes. it's only 99 cents per song, and $10 for a large majority of the albums.

I'm referring to the Rich Artists. I don't have the patience to wade through the millions of bands that are on the "Up and coming". Except for Savatage, maybe, but I bought a few of their discs, I don't know much about them. But anyone who has the indecency to buy a Mansion and flaunt it on "Cribs" immediately loses all possible sales they could have made to me. As well as Metallica, I can't stand Metallica.
