KasumiAngel I.Am The -very- first thing about debating, is you need to make sure you have time to debate. Don't go in, drop your opinion, and run. No one on either side likes people who do that, it's annoying. Second, make sure you have the stomach for it. As everyone has said, they are going to insult you and be just plain rude. You have to swallow it and move on. This is why you rarely see me in ED debating. I'm hardly ever on for any length of time; it really makes it hard to effectively debate there because I'm only on Gaia for brief snipits of time, like 10 minutes ever couple of hours... Rule number two: Make sure the people you debate with have at least an ounce of reason in them. Otherwise, you'll have a better chance winning a shouting match with a fire hydrant.

Yeah.....at least you can grab a fire hydrant and open it or get a dog to pee on it. Unfortunately, that's hard to do on gaia.

i don't know if it is a very good debator, but I usually just say what is on my mind and that usually starts a good debate because someone will have something to say about it. whee

Definately make sure that you watch them carefully.
~Careful of their arguments that use the word 'parasite'
~Make sure that you don't stutter...that will just make them think you are weak
~Listen to Toxic...she is a awesome debator.
~Don't hit below the belt...like personal insults...they suck.
~Watch it...they think that it isn't alive....(stupid i think...but whatever)
~If you need help, talk to a good debator...not myself..lol
