Dynamo City - One Night In Hackney

This is the story of a young man
who visited london for the first time

I heard about this party
On a sunday afternoon
I'd been up all saturday night
And i was railing to go

They said it was in hackney
in an old abandoned warehouse
I asked them
What kind of music do they play there?

and they told me

Techno

One night in hackney

after wandering for hours
through the urban sprawl
I finally heard the boom of the sound system
and as i turned the corner
i saw some strange people

Hanging around

One night in hackney

One night in hackney

The music was swirling around my head
as i made my way
into the darked building,
and as i found my way to the dancefloor
someone stopped me and said:
take this pill

so i took it

and said
what was that?
and he said
Ecstacy

and then he offered me a line

and said
whats that?
and he said
Ketamine

so i took it

and then i took
some cocaine
and then some speed
and then some acid
and then i drank
and then i drank fifteen

and then i drank FIFTEEN CANS OF STELLA!

and i stayed untill monday night

one night in hackney

one night in hackney

one night in hackney

dear oh dear......

FIFTEEN CANS OF STELLA!

This sums up my first rave ever.

Lagwagon - Know it all

Look at the world in disbelief
You used to follow - now you lead
College has enlightened you
And you are proud to be different
And like different bands - different types
You ain't nobody's fool
It's like certain bands remind you of someone you hated
'Cause they didn't wear the right clothing
And there's only one true fashion
Alot of the bands on the college charts are great bands
Until they get signed. Then you hate them
It's such bullshit - you used to love them you hypocrite
I remember you and I listening to bands that we liked
Only the songs mattered to you
But now you're a D.J. and preaching that hype
"Corporate Rock Sucks"
"You know, college radio enlightens you"
It's supposed to serve as a means to expose new bands
Without prejudice, but it makes no sense
Safe harbor for the underground
'Til the alternative becomes the popular sound
The bands are good 'til they make enough cash
To eat food and get a pad
Then they're sold out and their music is cliché
Because talent's exclusive to bands without pay
Know it all - Did you really listen to that song?
Could you ever write what you call wrong?

Lua - Bright Eyes

"I know that it is freezing but I think we have to walk. I keep waving at the taxis they keep turning their lights off. But Julie knows a party at some actor's west side loft. Supplies are endless in the evening by the morning they'll be gone.

When everything is lonely I can be my own best friend. I get a coffee and the paper, have my own coversations with sidewalk and pigeons and my window reflection. The mask I polish in the evening by the morning looks like s**t.

I know you have a heavy heart. I can feel it when we kiss. So many men stronger than me have thrown their backs out trying to lift it. But me I'm not a gamble you can count on me to quit. The love I sell you in the evening by the morning will be gone.

You're looking skinny like a model with your eyes all painted black. You just keep going to the bathroom always say you'll be right back. Well, it takes one to know one, kid, I think you've got it bad. But what is so easy in the evening by the morning is such a drag.

I got a flask inside my pocket we can share it on the train. And if you promise to stay conscious I will try and do the same. We might die from medication but we sure killed all the pain. But what was normal in the evening by the morning seems insane.

And I'm not sure what the trouble was that started all of this. The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did. Its not something that I would recommend but it is one way to live. It was so simple in the moonlight now its complicated. It was so simple in the moonlight...

Let it Die - Fiest

Let it die and get out of my mind
We don't see eye to eye or hear ear to ear
Don't you wish that we could forget that kiss?
And see this for what it is that we're not in love
The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start
It was hard to tell just how I felt
To not recognize myself. I started to fade away
And after all it won't take long to fall in love
Now I know what I don't want
I learned that with you
The sadest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start
The tragedy starts from the very first spark
Loosing your mind for the sake of your heart
The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start

(This is my all-time favorite break-up song)

this is me and my friends theme song.

Barenaked Ladies - Alcohol

Alcohol, my permanent accessory
Alcohol, a party-time necessity
Alchool, alternative to feeling like yourself
O Alcohol, I still drink to your health

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol

Forget the caffe latte,
screw the raspberry iced tea
A Malibu and Coke for you, a G&T for me
Alcohol, Your songs resolve like
my life never will
When someone else is picking up the bill

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else

I thought that Alcohol was just for those with
nothing else to do
I thought that drinking just to get drunk
was a waste of precious booze
But now I know that there's a time
and there's a place where I can choose
To walk the fine line between
self-control and self-abuse

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
Would you please ignore that you
found me on the floor
Trying on your camisole?
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else

Would you please forgive me?
Would you please forgive me?

I Will Follow You into the Dark - Death Cab For Cutie

Love of mine, someday you will die
But I'll be close behind and I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight, waiting for the hint of a spark

But if heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
And illuminate the NO's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me "Son
Fear is the heart of love," so I never went back

You and me we've seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary and the soles of your shoes
Are all worn down: the time for sleep is now
But it's nothing to cry about
'Cause we'll hold each other soon in the blackest of rooms

Rilo Kiley - Portions for Foxes (Randolyn's new theme song)

"there's blood in my mouth cause i've been biting my tongue all week
i keep on talking trash but i never say anything
the talking leads to touching then the touching leads to sex
and then there is no mystery left

and its bad news bad news, baby i'm bad news its just bad news

i know i'm alone if i'm with or without you
but just being around you offers me another form of relief
when the loneliness leads to bad dreams the bad dreams
lead me to calling you
and i call you and say, come here...

and its bad news bad news, baby i'm bad news its just bad news

cause you're just damage control
for a walking corpse like me
like you
cause we'll all be portions for foxes, portions for foxes

there's a pretty young thing in front of you
and she's realy pretty and she's real into you
and then she's sleeping inside of you

and the talking leads to touching then the touching leads to sex
and then there is no mystery left

and its bad news but i don't blame you
i do the same thing i get lonely too
and you're bad news, my friends tell me to leave you
that you're bad news, you're bad news
i don't care i like you" heart ninja pirate

Rilo Kiley - It's a Hit (the perfect song for writer's block)

"Any chimp can play human for a day
and use his opposable thumbs to iron his uniform
and run for office on election day
and fancy himself a decision maker
then deploy more troops than salt in a shaker
but it's a jungle when war is made
and you'll plant and throw your own hit at the e-bay
the camera pulls back to reveal your true identity
look its a sheep in wolf's clothing
a sucking gun-holding ape

Any a*****e can open up a museum
put all the things he loves on display
so everyone can see them
the house the car a thoughtful wife
ordinary moments in his ordinary life
but if she blinks or smiles she'll give you away
cause no one wants to pay to see her happiness
and I'm not buying it either
but I'll try selling it any day

Any idiot can play greek for a day
and join a sorority or write a tragedy
and articulate all that pain
and maybe you'll get paid
but its a sin when success complains
and your writer's block it don't mean s**t
just throw it up agains the wall and see what sticks
gonna write a hit I think this is it

its a hit
and if its not
then its a holiday for a hanging

Any fool can play executioner for a day
and say with fingers pointed in both directions
He went that way
it's only a switch or a syringe
I'm exempt from eternal sins
but the pardons never come from upstairs
they're always a moment too late
but its's entertainment keep the crowd on their toes
it's justice and we're safe

it's not a hit
it's a holiday
it's a holiday for a hanging
it's a holiday for a hanging, yeah

heart ninja heart

It seems no matter how much I change, or mature or my life gets shifted around... I keep coming back to this song, and keep feeling like I'm reliving it.

3 Libra's - A Perfect Circle

threw you the obvious and you flew
with it on your back, a name in your recollection,
thrown down among a million same.
difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed
and passed over
when i've looked right through
to see you naked and oblivious
and
you don't see me.but i threw you the obvious
just to see if there's more behind the eyes
of a fallen angel,
the eyes of a tragedy.
here i am expecting just a little bit
too much from the wounded.
but i see through it all
and see you.
so i threw you the obvious
to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel,
eyes of a tragedy.
oh well. apparently nothing.
you don't see me.
you don't see me at all.

Ladytron - Destroy everything you touch.

Destroy everything you touch today
Destroy me this way
Anything that may desert you
So it cannot hurt you

You only have to look behind you
At who's undermined you
Destroy everything you touch today
Destroy me this way

Everything you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Shakes your hand
Takes your gun
Wants you out of the sun

What you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Destroy everything you touch today
Please destroy me this way

Destroy everything you touch today
Destroy me this way
Anything that may delay you
Might just save you

You only have to look behind you
At who's undermined you
Destroy everything you touch today
Destroy me this way

Everything you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Shakes your hand
Takes your gun
Wants you out of the sun

What you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Destroy everything you touch today
Please destroy me this way

Everything you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Shakes your hand
Takes your gun
Wants you out of the sun

What you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Destroy everything you touch today
Please destroy me this way

Everything you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Shakes your hand
Takes your gun
Wants you out of the sun

What you touch you don't feel
Do not know what you steal
Destroy everything you touch today
Please destroy me this way

has an anti war speech as the lyrics, it's ******** awesome 3nodding but I can't remember who it is giving the speech sweatdrop

Perhaps Noam Chomsky or Jello Biafra......

though biafra being used for vocals on a breaks or DnB track would be killer
