Joe "Hey Wuzzel what kinda music do you listen to?"
Well Joe, I listen to Electronic music...
"What's electronic music?"
Well you know, music that sounds like 'oonce oonce oonce oonce oonce'..And it sometimes can make you dance!
"Oh, like Phil Collins?!"
. . . . fail!

Eh, I'm just glad I can beatbox and make a reasonable impression of acid.

I really like this thread that Layra-chan made a while back, so I've decided to rescue it from obscurity. In my feeble attempt to try and describe the music of Sigor Ros, the only adjectives that I can come up with our eerie and other-worldly. heart ninja pirate

It's so old Schizo posted in it D: I generally describe french house as "you wouldn't like it" crying People are quicker to berate you for liking electronic music than any other sort of music with a smaller but devoted following. When I tell people I love jazz they usually just say "Oh".

I find myself growing more and more frustrated trying to describe different kinds of music by refering to them by their 'so called' genres. scream A good example is Radiohead. Should I call their music progressive, which it certainly is, or should I call it Post-Rock, which is how a lot of people describe their music. confused Genre names like Post-Rock and Math Rock are practically worthless when it comes to describing anything meaningful about the musical genres that they supposedly represent. And terms like progressive need another adjective to go along with them before they really say anything about the music that you're trying to describe. domokun
