Yes, I just realized (even more than before) how important grammer is. It took me like a whole 5 minutes to figure out what Casiela typed. And thx for having me in this guild Casiela. And one question. What is with Hinata and cookies???

No idea. *gives Loki cookies to shut her up* Some people just like cookies, I guess.
But, yeah. My brain was forced to rewire itself to the point where it can translate chatspeak, txt tlk, and n00b into coherent English almost immediately. It still annoys the hell out of me, but I can usually figure out what they're babbling. Most people, however, do not have this gift, making proper grammar and punctuation and approximate spelling highly important when someone else is going to be reading what you write.

That feeling of a looming migraine, you mean? I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

LadyRogue Okay, this is sort of OT. I'm writing an article for the Gaia Gazette (a GCP) on the Gaian Grammar Guild. Basically what I want to know is how important do you think proper grammar is when writing? Either when posting on Gaia or when writing fanfic or what have you. I find grammar VERY VERY important. The only mistakes that I make, and dont mind it to/too (two one the other hand is a no-no)

Super-Imprtant. I don't mind typos, but I skip over any fanfic that doesn't have proper grammar.

xd I've never really needed help with grammer till My sister pointed it out. My sister can't spell for Bananas, so it was kinda odd. I guess I have a tendency to write everything down and skip over multple puncation marks and spaces. I think spelling is way important, my sister once mixed up her letters and made kiss 'kill'. Funny how a few letters can change the word. Grammer is important but I tend not to worry too much if i'm really into the story.

Horrible grammar can be improved with surprising ease. Just practice, and you'll get it eventually.

I laugh at kiba's poor excuse to keep the roleplaying forum. He told me he had great grammer, then he started writting more. He found out he didn't. If you work at and are worried about you grammer gets better. If you don't and just keep a little eye for mistakes you don't normally see it can look better. When you do nothing and just type like me, then your content with your grammer. biggrin

And when you actually try you end up editing your friends’ words on PM replies, and opening a guild where you much change every-other post, because they bug you. It's so easy, and I now wonder why I didn't try earlier! Now my big issue is to stop telling people to fix their spelling/grammar. I especially have to watch myself, because mine still stinks.
