Yeah, you can post it here, I don't mind. I plan to start the cleaning soon. I just need to find a good chunk of time that I am not doing anything. Thanks for the help.

Seriously, it doesnt' take much time to do the lockdown - all you have to do is spread out the work betwixt the mods of this guild. If they're not active, fire them! Harsh, but reality, is it not? Mods set examples for the normal members of the guild. If they're not active, why should the normal members be active? 0.o
Alright, before I get on the mod board, I'll get to the posting. This thread is consisted of 5 seperate posts. Please mind that some of the content is related to the UFFG - after all, this is taken directly from the original thread. Yes, I typed this all up, yes, I am the mod of organization. Here we go:

UFFG Posting/Thread Creation Guidelines:
Thread Creation Guidelines
-FF-related threads only [including art shops, even if the pics aren't FF]. Any other threads [general discussion, hello?, etc] may be created, but MUST be allowed by consent of the UFFG mods. Otherwise, these threads will be locked and deleted. Consent can be posted in the Questions/Suggestions thread or PMed to me personally. Then it will be brought to the mod board for descision.
-No repeat threads. Please examine the current threads before making a new one. Repeat threads will be locked on most cases [threads branching off the same topic are okay, like FF7 and FFAC]. The only reason for a repeat thread NOT to be locked is that the original thread has become very big, and a new thread should be created to cut the discussion amount in half.
-No advertisment threads. If you want to sell something, go to the Gaian exchange. If you want donations, go to the Gaian charity. [This excludes art shops, the owner of the shop makes the rules. If the advertisment is a fundraiser for this guild, please state so and it will be permitted.]
-Question threads are okay, but once the question has been answered, the thread will be locked and deleted.
Posting Guidelines
-Be nice to other posters. If you disagree, it's okay to debate/discuss the situation. However, flaming is not permitted here.
-No name calling. This goes with the rule mentioned above.
-No trolling. Trolling is when you provoke large volumes of responses by posting absurdities, deliberately offensive insults, etc.
-No spamming! [with the exception of the chatroom, which was made for that purpose] The UFFG board doesn't needed to be flooded with advertisements [buy my fox ears!] or pointless posts [lalalala].
-No advertising! Please advertise your products [whether real, or Gaian items] in the Gaian Exchange. Advertising for the benefit of the guild [fundraisers] are accepted. Art shops are also accepted.
-Respect people's privacy. Do not post phone numbers, home addresses, pictures, etc., without permission.
-Post on topic. Don't make a perfectly good topic into a chatroom. [Even if what you have to say isn't spam!]
Art Shop Guidelines
-Art shop makers adhere to their own rules, the preceeding rules above DO NOT APPLY. I will not delete an art shop, UNLESS it has been asked to be deleted by the creator.
-If the art owner cannot control their shop [flaming, name calling, etc] - they will be able to recieve assistance or the shop will have to be closed down. This only applies to offenses hurting other people [not posting off topic, advertising, etc].
-If you're going to make an art shop, please run it! Don't create an art shop, and just leave it there to sit.

Lockage/Deletal Procedures:
Reasons for Lockage:
- Lack of participation/interest of guild members. These threads are generally located on the second page of threads, and often have 1-3 pages. Larger threads only on the second page are in danger of this. Stickies and Announcements with this problem will be deleted upon decision of the mods.
- Flaming. These can be any thread, including stickies and announcements. Flaming is considered insulting/attacking others [not what they say, not what they did]. This does not include harsh criticism or debating.
- Repeated topic. These threads will be locked on the spot. If one of these threads gets away from any of the mods and grows big, the bigger of the two threads will be saved and the smaller locked. Announcements and Stickies will rarely have this problem.
- Advertisment. These threads will be locked on the spot. This includes begging, not just selling. Guild fundraisers are accepted.
- Question thread. These threads will be locked only after the question has been answered, and the person has recieved their answer. These questions are for a narrow field, because we already have a question thread for this guild and a question thread for help on FF games.
- Off topic. These threads will be locked if the problem gets really bad. It is rare for a thread to be locked for this reason.
- Time. These threads have been around for a long time, and therefore should be locked. This mainly includes "Goodbye" and "Blank is leaving" threads.
- Innapropriate topic. These threads are of innapropriate topic. Not just immorality, also not FF related, pointless, etc.
- Innapropriate discussion. These threads are good ones, which have become immoral or innapropriate. Only prolonged innapropriate discussion in topics will be locked [a few dirty jokes are okay].
- Breakage of the Posting Guidelines. This is only for prolonged breakage, of more than one person. The posting guidelines are above.
- Replacement thread creation. This is if a mod has created an official thread based on this topic after your thread has been created.
That is it for now, but if other immoralities show up, they will be posted as reasons for lockage also!
Lockage Procedures:
1. [Exception] If it is a big thread and is in danger of lockage due to lack of participation, I will post in there and give people 5 days to post in there.
- If one person posts, it will be saved.
- If no people post, it will be locked.
2. [Normal Procedure] A thread will be locked for one of the reasons above. See the Deletal Procedure section for continuation.
This ends the Lockage Procedure.
Reasons for Deletal:
-No objection. If no one objects to the lockage within the time limit, the thread will be deleted. See the Deletal Procedure section for more details.
- Unnegotiable objection. Even if you object, that doesnt' mean I'm keeping the thread. I have final say on the deletal of a thread. If you can't convince me to keep the thread, it will be deleted. See the Deletal Procedure section for more details.
Deletal Procedures:
1. A thread will be locked due to one of the reasons above. The creator of the thread will be given 3 days to redeem it.
- You [the creator] must PM me with at least 3 good reasons why you wish to keep the thread within 3 days of the lockage.
- Reasons for the lockage will be given.
2. If I haven't recieved a request of redemtion, the thread will be deleted.
2. If I have recieved a request of redemption, it will be discussed/debated over PM or IM.
3. If the negotiation goes well, and I agree with the thread creator, the thread will be saved.
This ends the deletal procedure.

Post 3 informs members the reasons why their threads could be locked/deleted, along with the procedure carried out concerning it.
Post 4
My Purposes:
-Keep the guild clean. This is an FF guild, we do not need a bunch of "extra" threads.
-Protect your rights. We want to prevent any bashing/hurting of feelings. Also, we do not want personal rights violated. [You'll be surprised, when people create threads - they dont' want them to go off topic and into something else]
My Power:
I can:
- Issue deletal/lockage penalties.
- Lock threads.
- Delete threads.
- Warn you if you've done wrong.
I cannot [without consent of the mod board]:
- Ban you from the guild.
- Lock your thread for no reason.
- Delete your thread for no reason.
- Edit your thread [change the main post] without your consent.

Post 4 informs the members of my purposes of the so-many guidelines and procedures. It also tells them what I can do and what I cannot do, so I'm not seen as a monarch of some type.
Post 5
Please adhere to these guidelines - you'll find your experience here at the UFFG much better than if you didn't. 3nodding
Post 5 is the conclusion.
And - I will not tell you the threads you must lock...It's for you to decide. You're the leader, right? You set the standards, you set the guidelines. I am a mod in the UFFG, so I am able to set their standards and guidelines. However, I have no power here.
So, in the end - it's all up to you. You may agree or disagree - I just told you what I do to keep my guild in line...It's your decision on whether to use my technique or not.
