Laili neutral a Theory? Is this a good one or a bad one? Well apart from the obvious suggestion that Gippels eye might be totatly messed up. There is a Theory. which wouldn't go down with the Al-bhed Community that He is like Yuna. A crossbread between normal people on Spira and the Al-Bhed. And that his eye Patch is covering the fact he's only half Al-Bhed. espesialy being such a prominent Al-Bhed leader. It's just a Theory though.

The only issue with that...is that the Al Bhed didn't seem discriminatory towards the Spiran people...look at Yuna...they treated her decently and she's of mixed heritage...
It was more the Spiran people, especially the Yevonites that discriminated against the Al Bhed...

It was more the Spiran people, especially the Yevonites that discriminated against the Al Bhed... Well maybe somone Gippels related to doesn't like them mixing? We see in FFX that Cid really didn't like the fact his Sister had run off with Yuna's Father. Because at first he couldn't even look at Yuna. but he does come round eventully possably because he realises that Yuna and his own daughter are so much alike?

It's possable that Gippels parents had a relationship behind Cid's back and because they didn't want to upset Cid anymore Gippel has to wear the eye patch to hide the fact that one of his parents isn't Al-Bhed. Otherwise. Why else is he wearing an eye patch?
