"You'd be amazed at what mosquitos do to get at your blood. Nasty little things, they are." Gouka scowled and rubbed his arms. He usually didn't get bitten, but when he did, they got him good...much like sunburns. When Jitka insisted he didn't get the can anywhere near Mayes, he took a few steps away. "I won't spray him, I promise."
"Anyone want to toss me something to eat? I'm famished." The boy shrugged, more than eager to turn the topic away from bugs and over to food.
Mayes let out a sigh of relief as he came out from behind Jitka. Last time he had let Gouka spray him with something, it got into his eye and he couldn't see for a week. And that was suntan lotion. Imagine what bug spray would do to his retinas!
Takumi poked at another of the 'yellow-white blobby thing.' He watched it jiggle and wiggle before he, too, broke the center bubble and watched the yellow stuff leak out. It was interesting, really, how both he and his sister were amused by something so simple.

"Um hiya and sure I'll get it for ya!" Tails got up and walked over to where she left Mayes, Gou's and Takumi's foods. "Here yall go." She's picked the three plated up and handed Gou's to hima nad land Mayes and Takumi's in front of them. "Hope ya like it. There made just like Onii-chan(meaning big brother I know some japanese biggrin ) taught me."

It probably explained where Cassia got it from, but once Gouka heard anything related to Japanese, he promptly started talking in said language. "Wah~! Sugee, Tails-chan mou! Ittadakimasu!" The boy grinned, armed himself with a fork, and dug in. Of course, he wasn't completely without manners, but having lived on cup-of-noodles for the past week does make a home cook meal seem especially appetizing.
"Uwah, oishi~!"
Mayes scoffed at Gou's reaction, but thanked Tails for the food and helped himself. As long as his mannerisms didn't rub off on Takumi, it was all good...if they did, well, he was sure Jitka wouldn't care too much for it.

Tails didn't think Gou was going to go all japanese on her. "Ehh! Your domo(thank you)?? What did you just say?" She barly knew any japanese just the basic's really.

"Uh...Sugee is cool, isn't it? And Ittadakimasu is thank you? And oishi is yummy? Maybe?" Anrea knew a little Japanese, but she had a hard time keeping all the words straight, and so she didn't trust herself to even insert a word into a sentence every now and then. She barely trusted herself with translation work.
Whatever. The yummy potatoes were still on her plate. Time to eat more of them!
Jitka was glad that Anrea had translated what Gouka had said. She knew no Japanese at all, nor German, even though Anrea and German was starting to be like Gouka and Japanese. How could the humans possibly stand having so many languages? How? There were three of them. Why did the humans need three languages, anyway?
She had finished her breakfast, and she sat there, waiting for the others to finish, her tail moving about impatiently the only sign of how anxious she was to go.
Devika licked the yellow goo off her paws, since there was no more yellow things to pop, and it was food, an it was bad to waste food.
She had no idea how she was going to get the bit off her forehead, though. She didn't even know how it had gotten there, but she felt some stickiness right there, and her tongue wasn't long enough to reach it (she had already tried).

"Ita vero!" Gouka smiled and nodded happily as he stuffed his face with food. Okay, so he just switched languages on them. Point being? He did it to Mayes all the time...it had become habit by now. " 'Rea, Tails, quid agitis dies sunt?"
Mayes rolled his eyes, swallowed, and translated for the others. By the time Gouka realized that not everyone can speak the same languages as he can, would be the day cows fly. And by that, he didn't mean load them into a flying vehicle and send them off into the air.
"Mayes est scelestus. Gouka 'Reo et Tailo ludere volo!"
"Quam...!" He glared at Mayes, but bit back his next retort.
Takumi had glanced up at his father and the boy. Sure, learning the language they usually spoke in was hard enough, but now they were arguing in something completely and utterly foreign. He tipped his head and quickly gave up trying to comprehend, and turned his attention to the yellow blotch on Devika's head.
He moved over to his sister and gently licked the egg yolk off of her forehead. It would be better than having to take a bath...he shuddered at the very thought be being dumped into cold water.

"Es geht mir wirklich schlecht, weil du auf...Latin, nicht wahr? sprircht," 'Rea said in retaliation. She had no idea what the rest of it meant, and so she couldn't respond to it in German. Since Gouka hadn't said anything about her Japanese translation work, so she assumed that she had been right. That was good, at least.
Jitka asked, not able to understand anything after Mayes had translated Gouka's first sentence. As far as she knew, the language that Mayes and Gouka were speaking might as well be Japanese. She knew nothing about human languages, except that there were three of them, and three was too many.
"Ich hab' gesagt..."
Jitka cried, frustrated that she couldn't understand anything going on around her anymore.
"I said: 'It's going really bad because you're speaking in...Latin, right?', or something close to that. And then the second one means 'I said'. Or rather, 'I have said', but we're not going into literal translations. They aren't worth it."
Jitka was glad she was able to understand a bit of what was being said, now.
She glanced over at Mayes, hoping he would translate this "Latin" thing.
Devika was glad that her brother finally got the yellow goo off her forehead. It had been starting to annoy her, just because she couldn't reach it.
She had given up understanding what the adults were talking about. Too many words...They made her head hurt if she thought about them, so she wasn't going to think about them.

Since 'Rea had translated her half of the non-English conversation, Mayes did theirs.
He had to stop going to the boy's Latin classes, he really did. But...they were so much fun, and he actually got to feel thankful that Gou was his human. He was quite sane, compared to others.
Swallowing a huge chunk of...whatever it was he stuffed down his throat, Gouka clapped his hands and laughed.
"That was fun!"
Mayes spoke up before the boy had a chance to elaborate.
Takumi glanced up at the mention of "kitling." Usually, when they heard something along that line, people were referring to him and his sister. He shrugged it off, though, since it didn't seem all that important.

Devika looked up at Daddy because Takumi had, too, but then Takumi didn't look like he was looking at Daddy anymore. Maybe Daddy wasn't talking to them.
But kitlings meant them, didn't it? She thought it did, anyway.
Jitka was glad that they had stopped confusing her, too. There were now four human languages, and that was even more too many. Why did humans need another language? Hadn't three been bad enough? But there were four now. Why couldn't all humans speak...whatever they spoke, and only that? It would make everyone's lives a lot simpler, she thought.
Jitka agreed with Mayes. She didn't like how she had had no idea what was being said until Anrea and Mayes had translated the conversations.
She licked Mayes, thankful that he had translated. She could tolerate people speaking around her in...their language, and not need to know what was being said, but as soon as someone started speaking in another language, she had to know what it meant.

"Whyed i even have to say 'onii-chan'... I'm good and super hyper and happy that we are all going to see our familys!" She smiled and finished packing her lunch and other things. She safly put away her money in her sock which was in a secert part of her backpack. "Anyone need anything before we go?" She watched everyone and saw that Yuri and karma where ready togo. "i really need to learn lots more japanese and german and latin? Don't I? Well that is if I'm going to be with you two..." She kinda mumbled that.

Mayes licked Jitka back, thankful that his services came to use. Or, rather, the things he learned from being stuck with Gouka.
There, they did it again; they said "kitling." Takumi glanced up at their parents, tipping his head to the side. 'Kitlings' meant him and his sister, right? So now what were they talking about?(( >_< Sorry 'bout the uber short post.))

"Yeah, just let me grab my stuff!" Anrea finished shoving a few things into a backpack that looked a bit overstuffed. Why exactly she would need so much for a trip that shouldn't be more than a few days round trip was a mystery, but she had a lot of something in that backpack.
"Everyone has their own sleeping bag, right? It's getting kind of chilly this time of year..." They could probably build a fire, and take advantage of the Koivou's body heat if they had to, but it would be best if they were all spread out. More eyes in more directions, and all that. Dead Demon or no, there were still plenty of other things to worry about in the forest and on the road.
Jitka was starting to get impatient. She had gotten up early, and she wanted to go! She wanted to meet Anrea's family, and Tails' family, and Gouka's family! She wanted to see what the other humans were like.
She knew that Anrea's family had already met Mirek and Touma, but did Tails' family know about the Koivou? Did Gouka's? How would they react? It was going to be fun, and she wanted to start the fun adventure now!
Devika mirrored Takumi, her blue eyes flicking to Mommy, to Daddy, and back to Mommy again. Daddy was talking about her and Takumi, right? What was he saying about them?

What on Gaia were they talking about? Takumi could make out 'stuff'... and the fact that Mommy was impatient about something. What that something was, exactly, he couldn't tell. He shrugged, shot a glance back at Devika, and moved over towards their parents.
Gouka's pack was filled with his and Mayes' usual traveling gear. Toothbrush, toothpaste, water, first aid kit, sleeping bag, etc.
"Let's go, let's go!" It seemed Jitka's excitement was contagious. The boy was almost bouncing in place, now hyped to get things moving.
Jitka, check. Two kitlings, check.
Right, then. He was ready to go.

"I'm ready I got my sleeping bag and a extra blanket just in case!" Tails smiled and looked at Yuri and Karma. "Ready Yuri? Karma?" She checked eveything offf her list she had everything she needed as well as some extra stuff for every. She finished packing the lunch bag and put her backpack and the lunch bag on her bag and she was ready.
Yuri smiled and went outside with everyone.
Karma smiled and wondered what it was going to be like.

"Got some changes of clothes? This trip'll take a few days." Anrea had food, so she wasn't worried about that, and there was the basics of a First Aid kit buried in the backpack. Somewhere.
Food, clothes, sleeping bag, First Aid kit, water...Yep, that was everything.
"I'm ready to go."
Jitka wanted to go now. While waiting for Tails to answer Anrea's question, she picked up Devika, and placed her on her back. The kits were growing, and she wasn't sure if she could carry both of them for such a long distance.
Devika glanced back toward Takumi as Mommy picked her up. Were they going somewhere? Going places was fun. Maybe they would get to go in the forest! It was so big, there had to be lots and lots and lots of fun things to do in there!
