How loyal is Ling to Ran Fan?
Sort of loyal.
How much money does Ling owe Ed?
Too much.
Will Ling become Emperor one day?
I don't think so.
Do you think Ling's quest for immortality is good or bad?
Hard to tell.
Now that Ling is (spoiler)Greed(spoiler), what is in store for him? How will this effect the future of the manga?

In world cultures we watched a movie on China, and there was this thing about an emperor who spent the remainder of his life trying to find a way to become immortal. Then one of the potions he drank was poison so...his...his quest for immortality...killed...

Well, the Chinese were the first alchemists. The ancient Chinese alchemists, unlike the later European alchemist who focused on turning lead into gold, were all preoccupied with creating an elixor that would make the emperor immortal. Ironically, they usually eneded up dying from exposure to minerals like cinnabar, which contained mercury and sulfer. They also ended up discovering gunpowerder by looking for recipies that would prolong life.

Yeah, but what would happen to Ling if his dad were to die? He is in a whole other country than his father. What if the Emperor dies and Lings evil twin takes over or something? xd

Would Greed!Ling force streneous taxes? Would he be a ruthless ruler in the name of greed (whoas, double meaning!)? Would the people start a rebellion? What would Ran Fan, Fu, and Mei do? And what would Ed and Al think, seeing Ling go from good to bad, and then to ruler? And think of us fanfic fanatics! Many, many possibilites and AU's.

Greed would definetly want his own country. Depending on whether he took stupid pills of not, he may use up a ton of resources to take over more land then taxing his citizens to pay for the war. He may even marry some superficial girl he doesn't even care about to make allieneces. The citizens would then start saying things like "viva la revolution!" and attack Xing's notorious prison and put people's heads on pikes... Good thing he has that carbon sheild and regenerating ability, he could end up with his head off of his shoulders... xd

And the Xingese peasants make this really crude joke about him and the empress not having children using locksmithing terms.
OMSB ROY AS DANTON AND ED AS NAPOLEON. YEEEESSS. And I self-insert myself to be Robespierre!-that would mean Xing goes to war with Amestris, Roy is somehow in support of it, Ed, a state alchemist, is sent over there and promoted to higher ranks, and eventually Fuhrer (lyk whoas).

Did you happen to watch that same French Revolution show on the history channel that I did?
My sister thinks Lust could be Marie Antoinette, but I don't know...
And they'd make sheild jokes instead of locksmith ones... xd Homunculi can't reproduce. But then Father could do some simple procedure and make it possible. Greed could then have 4 kids. And then, oh noes! A shortage of flour! eek
