I think there are supposed to be different colours for different place in the jedi. E.G Jedi consoulers, weapon masters, etc

SpcyTuna You guys notice that in most of the SW games and movies that all lightsabers with the exclusion of Mace Windu's are Red (for sith) and Blue or Green for Jedi? I find it interesting because most people think that those are the only colors a lightsaber can be. I know most of you know otherwise, but wouldn't you think with all the jedi that were shown in Eps 1, 2, and 3 that the movie makers would make different colored sabers? I mean at least establish that a lightsaber hilt can be made from pretty much anything that can hold the parts and the color of the blade is a direct result of the gem used to focus it? I believe Callista's was Goldenrod, Mara Jade's is Purple, Jacen Solo's is Turquoise, Lowbacca's is Gray and Mace Windu's was lavender or violet/purple. From here we can see a diversity amongst jedi and their personal lightsabers. any thoughts or opinions? I know Corran Horn's hilt was made from a speeder bike handle and his blade was silver.

Shamakan Yep, the green jewel used for Luke's saber which he used to fight vader was manufactered, but I heard that not long after that he found Qui-Gon's old saber in Ob-Wan's house, and took the crystal out of that, but yes, any crystal can be manufactured. Interesting... i heard a rumor that Luke's Second lightsaber was actually Qui-Gon's and that he had modified it slightly.
