While Glacus finished his plate, Christopher continued to talk. "Well, the pasta was just something in Pasta Roni's line of selections. Angel hair with pasta... It's quite tasty. And I guess that could work as far as your family goes."
Chris's eyes glanced up at the clock. It was nearly 9pm. He would have to vacate Glacus out of his cabin soon so he could finish unpacking his things for the night. It had been a long day and he desperately wanted to get all his things put away. "It's getting a little late. I hate to ask but would you mind leaving me be for now? I have to get settled in. Plus, I'm sure your family is wondering where you ran off to. I'll meet you by the fountain tomorrow morning and we'll go from there as far as our plans go, ok?"

“Okay, sounds like a plan.” Hew said happily
“I don’t mind at all, I should go anyway, see you in the morning” Glaucus got up and walked his plate to the sink, “Alrighty then sea you later I still have to unpack as well. And then I’ll treat the landscape to some Lacuna Coil.” Glaucus said triumphantly, Good night.

~New RP~
------------------------
Day 2 Morning
------------------------
It was 9:30am when Christopher finally awoke. As he squirmed out of bed, Chris clenched his teeth together due to the pain he still felt in his tailbone. Reaching down to rub the sore area in his back, Christopher gasped and pulled his hand away. He could swear he felt a small bump on his lower back. This was not a good sign.
Darting out of his bed, Chris made his way into the bathroom. He pulled off his t-shirt and turned his back to the mirror. Christopher cocked his head to the side and looked at the reflection. From what he could see, there was swelling and a huge bruise around the base of his tailbone. His mouth hung open from the sight, not believing his own eyes. What could possibly cause this kind of bruising and swelling?
This only verified that he would have to make an appointment with a doctor as soon as he could. Christopher left the bathroom and picked up the phone, calling information whom gave him the number to a local hospital. Dialing the number, Chris set up his appointment which would be for tomorrow at noon.
Now that Christopher had that much out of the way, he decided to get dressed and go check on Erik. Throwing on a pair of blue jeans and his favorite black shirt, Chris left his cabin.

Day 2Morning------------------------ [Continuation of Previous RP]Start: Resort Cabin #3------------------------ Christopher returned to his cabin with Erik and prepared breakfast. It didn't take much time to serve up the meal thankfully which allowed Chris some more time to sit and rest his back. He set the plates packed with food down onto the dark stained oakwood table. Turning his gaze to Erik, Christopher asked, "Would you care for some milk or water?"

Taking a seat in one of the seats, Erik eagerly, but patiently waiting for the food, and when it did come, he picked up his fork and knife and automatically said "Thanks.", and then he just dug in.
Eating like there was no tomorrow, one could tell that the young man hadn't had food for a while. After finishing off the bacon and starting on the eggs, Erik answered Chris with "Do you have orange juice?".

Christopher shook his head and replied, "No, I'm sorry. I didn't bring any orange juice with me. I'll have to buy some when I'm in town later on today. I have to pick up Icy Hot patches for my back anyway."
Pouring himself a glass of milk, Chris finally sat down at the table and let out a sigh of relief. The aroma of the food was quite pleasing and only fed his desire to eat the scrumptious meal that was present on his plate. He stabbed his fork into a piece of fried egg and inserted it into his mouth, chewing rather contently on it. The slight flavor of the butter that the egg was cooked in was rather pleasing to Chris's tastebuds making him quickly snatch up another piece of it with his fork.
Chris picked up a piece of bacon and bit into it, letting out a satisfied grunt. He took a sip of his milk before he began to speak. "Erik, what do you plan to do now though? I mean, you can't just keep running forever. I don't want you to have to go back if you don't want to but you need to figure out what you're going to have to do. It probably won't be much longer until someone sniffs you out."
Christopher finished his piece of bacon off, shoving it into his mouth.

Erik bit his lip and ran a hand through his hair, worried by Chris' question. What would he do? Where would he go? He couldn't stay here forever, because sooner or later, the police would find him and take him back to Illinois. And when he did, there would be hell to pay.
Leaning his head back, looking up at the ceiling, and letting out a sigh, he answered "I have no idea..."

"Erik, I'm going to visit the Tarhelian River today with a friend of mine," Christopher explained as he indulged in his breakfast some more, "Would you like to come along at all? Maybe it'll help clear your head some perhaps. Besides, I don't think you want to be alone right now either. So it's your choice."
Christopher continued to eat some more in silence. Then he said, "So tell me a little about yourself Erik, and I shall do the same as well."

Normally, Erik was a loner, antisocial, solitary, but right now, he was vulnerable and needed to be around others, so he said "Sure, why not. Who are you meeting?"
Taking a deep breath, Erik was a little nervous having to talk about himself to Chris, he never was a good speaker, but he felt he could trust Chris, so he decided to speak "Well...where to start. Well, I'm from New Lenox, it's a nice little town, south of Chicago. You could basically call me a bookworm, since I usually have my nose in a book, and I'm a little on the quiet on the quiet and shy side. Due to my reclusive nature, I didn't really have any friends...". For a moment, Erik trailed off, memories of school coming back to him, memories of being picked on, made fun, being left out, etc. Snapping out of it, he went on. "One of my biggest hobbies is animals. I just love them, I know practically everything about them, and I'm good at handling them." The last part of Erik's statement was true, back in Illinois, he used to spend his weekends and summers volunteering at the Pilcher Park Nature Center, where he would feed, clean, handle, and teach kids about the animals that were housed there.
Thinking he had said enough for now, he asked, a tiny grin on his face "So...what's your story?"

Christopher finished off his breakfast and smiled, rather satisifed with how the meal turned out. He then answered Erik while he sipped on his glass of milk, "I'll be going with my friend Glaucus. Him and I have been online friends for a long time. We met finally last night. He's here with his family. I'm up here on vacation and to meet up with a Native American friend of mine from when I directed my movie."
"That's right. You don't know about that. I'm an independent filmmaker. I made a film a year ago called A Moonlight Lullaby. However, I tell you that the world of filmmaking can be very strenuous and overwhelming. This vacation is my break away from all that and to just enjoy something I haven't had since I was your age. Because I use to live near the woods and loved it. It feels good to have a taste of it again. And as you'll come to know, I really like wolves. Hell, sometimes it seems that I should have been born one."
Chris let out a laugh at that last statement of his, nearly dropping his glass of milk. Setting the glass back down on the table, Christopher gather his composure once more. "The reason for that is I absolutely adore wolves. I read up on them all the time, have many dreams about them, mostly dreams where I become one. Hell, my movie is about someone becoming a wolf."
He suddenly grew silent, realizing he was perhaps explaining too much. Chris didn't want Erik to think he was some some kind of lunatic. He decided to switch the focus back to the teenage boy and asked, "So what kind of things do you like to read about? Animals I take it?"

Erik was interested was interested about Chris' movie work, and he wondered what other films he might have made. When Chris started talking about turning into a wolf, Erik was a little wierded out, but he manged to shake it off. ~Okay....that was more info then I needed to know.~ he thought.
Happy to reply to Chris' question, Erik answered with a bit of pride in his voice "Yeah, I pretty much know everything about almost everykind of animal, from dragons to dinosaurs, hyenas to humans, everything...except for most invertebrates."

"Wait a minute," Christopher interrupted, "How can you consider dragons an animal even? They don't even exist as far as we know. They're a fantasy creature."
Chris smacked his forehead, realizing how condescending that statement came across. That was not his intention but that is how it came across, even to him. He began to scold himself internally, 'Nice one Chris! The kid probably got enough of that kind of discouragement beforehand. You want to add fuel to the fire?'
Looking at Erik with embarassed eyes, Christopher apologized, "I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to sound like I was putting you down. It just caught me offguard you would include dragons. You don't typically hear dragons classified as animals, you know? Anyway, what kind of things do you know about dinosaurs and dragons?"

Waving his hands in reassuring manner, Erik said "No, it's alright, everyone says that." What did Erik know about dragons? This was his moment to shine, and he was going to enjoy it. So, clearing his throat with a grin on his face, Erik started to give Chris his 45-minute-long lecture on dragons: their evolution; how they flew and breathed fire; the different species that existed; their biology; and finally, their extinction at the hands of mankind. ((All info can be found here)) Throughout his little speech, Erik used a surprisingly well-developed, almost university-level vocabulary, saying long and difficult words with ease, showing that he had seriously studied and had done a lot of research. By the time he was done, Erik realized that he must've sounded like a total nerd. Looking down, he then started blushing.

Christopher sat in awe as Erik explained his knowledge of the fantasy creatures that were dragons. It was amazing how much knowledge he had on a creature of fiction alone. He could only fathom just how much more he knew about real animals as well. After Erik finished his speech, Christopher simply said out of impulse, "Wow... Why aren't you already in college already? You..."
That's when Chris's eyes fell on the clock on the wall. It was one minute before 11am, the time he was to meet Glaucus by the fountain. "S**t! We'll be late to meet Glaucus at the fountain if we don't leave now. Come, hurry!"
Chris quickly put on his walking shoes and dashed out the door, waving his arms to motion for Erik to follow him. All the while he did this, Chris just further aggravated his back but his sudden rush of urgency was thankfully overriding it for the time being.

Never really complimented like this before, Erik started to blush and smile. He was glad that he Chris for a friend, and he wanted to tell him that. But before he could, Chris ran out the door.
Letting out a sigh, Erik quickly put his tennis shoes on and ran after Chris.
