i dropped the cluch in my ooooooold chevette i had...it would burn the tires off. as for trying to get by with a 7.5 rear end...ha ha ha good luck. first time your tires catch traction when you are doing a burnout you will break it like a twig. the rear end has honda springs welded in to jack the rear up(he is a hick) but we took those out.

*can't control the urge to rant and rave in this one* I feel like this is my new second home.. xp I got a load of them.. mainly cause, well.. I live in Florida, and some of the morons down here like flashy things.. and they assume they're hot stuff.
Ricer Incedent:
We were cruising along the beach.. like normal, when we took notice to this car going by us, I coun't really tell what it was.. but I saw it had underglows, and I knew it was rice from that... as we went around.. come to find out, we actually caught up to that car, we passed him, not looking for trouble or anything.. we go down a ways, heading into Tampa... and low and behold, that imp and his buddy come hauling a** up behind us. Now, I wasn't driving.. if I had, I would have just taken off right then and there... but My brother insisted on giving them a fair chance. So.. we let them roll up beside us. His buddy holds his fingers up.. gives a countdown from 5-0.. We take off.. he gets a pull on us at first.. then we end up flying by them... it was sad.. we thought they might be a challenge.. the pull up next to us again.. the guy starts talking to me.. the convo goes like this:
fool#1: What do you have? Me: Nothing, why? Fool#1: Is that Turbo? Me: (trying so damn hard not to laugh) Umm.. no? It's bone stock. Fool#1: Me too. Fool#2: Wanna go again?
End convo.. we turned off.. it wasn't worth the gas. After that.. I was cracking up with that one line playing in my head.. "Is that Turbo?" I kept thinking.. Umm.. that a** would have heard something called a blow off valve... So there's one of my Moronic Ricer meetings.

Umm.. that a** would have heard something called a blow off valve... So there's one of my Moronic Ricer meetings. Actually, not all turbo setups run blow-off valves. For example, one of the early Signal RPS13's ran 350ps without any blow-off. My car has a blow-off, but it's outlet recycles into the intake so you can't hear anything (and so the oxygen sensor doesn't go wack). But yeah, I see your point.

Old thread, but hey. 2001 Dodge Durango, K&N filter and 31" A/T tires.
vs.
Honda Civic with a Fart Cannon and 4 Subs. I'll admit, I lost to the low-profile tires on it. But the look on his face when I was dead even off the light with the rears smoking was proceless. Civic Driver: *Mashes the gas and drops the clutch* Me: *Mashes the gas and spins the tires at 4200rpm. And I'm still neck and neck with him.*

I got a new new one since I bought the Z. My sister works at Fazoli's and the first time I dropped her off everyone was all falling over my car. There's this guy Ernie who works there with a riced out '91 Civic hatch. He wants to race me. Now, there's this other guy Josh who my sister used to have a crush on who was going on about how my car sucked and Ernie's Civic would kick my cars a** after he puts the turbo + N20 in. (Poor little ricers... They think that VTEC, turbo, and N20 is a cure-all for any race) Tonight I took Ernie for a little 0-100mph spin. Heh, heh, heh... Well, he's lost his appetite for a race and now says that even with a turbo his car won't be as powerful as mine. That just leaves Josh, but he's so thickheaded I'm not going to even bother.
So, in conclusion...
I heart my LS1

I was cruising with my ex one time and we stopped at this light. There were two guys in a force-fed celica and we were in a 2000 Accord. There was a cop on the other side of the celica in the left turn only lane, and as soon as the green arrow came up for the cop, the guy in the passenger seat of the celica was like "let's go on green". We pointed out the cop that had just turned left and he was like "Oh, he's going that way, he won't care". So we agreed and just as the light turned green I noticed the cop turning into a parking lot not far from the intersection. I told my ex to take off as normal, and the other guys spun the tires and took off....needless to say the cop saw everything and pulled them over.

You would just love Mexico then. First sight of white people, they'll almost chase you down the street trying to get you to buy something. They have some good stuff though. Cigars that look like Marijuana joints, lol.
