The new one is about a 3 minute drive plus there are bike paths that lead there so I could take a bike or walk if I wanted. Serious? dang and how are you and your horses doing?

I am currently at my fourth barn since I started to ride. I have changed barns once since I got Skippy. He likes FCS better than the last one we were at. The air is cleaner. And he gets spoiled rotten. He's the cutie of the barn so everyone loves to spoil him.lol

Skippy is spoiled enough fo 4 horses Cherry! lol. FCS is an acronym for the barn where I ride.
Blossy: There are some really good private boarding barns in Australia...Most dressage riders like to keep their horses boarded inisde. It's better for them. Besides the point, some of the best jumpers and dressage riders own their own barns in Australia, that includes indoor boarding.

Before I got my horse I rode at around 7 or 8 places in the course of 10 years. After we moved to the last place I lived I stopped riding for about 4 years just because there wasn't a stable around there that I liked. What can I say, I'm picky =)
My horse was actually bought at auction by the the last stable I took lessons at before getting him. My instructor kept him at her own barn (there's a total of 6 horses there and the indoor arena's going up soon, yay!) until I could afford to buy him although during that time I was paying vet and ferrier fees.
Even though he currently lives 30mins. away from me, I wouldn't move him as long as I live here. I'm happy where he's at and he's happy. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles at this point in time I find that the most important thing about a stable is the people there. (Of course it counts that they know what they're doing too.)
My horse is loved and cared for as if he were their own horse and I know that if something even like a minor scratch happened to him it would be noticed right away. He's not just seen as another horse in the herd that they glance over at feeding time and that's it. Everyone at the stable is warm, friendly, and relaxed.
