Aya laughed at Sib's comment and gave her head an amused shake. Kyo was going to get a kick out of that label.
"Oh hon, don't I know it," she smiled warmly. "Growing up I've always been a bit of a sore thumb. But I would imagine at such an integrated school, that making friends would be a little easier. But of course... I could be entirely wrong considering I've got quite the same problem with a lot of the staff. I fear that poor Kyo will end up having to smooth quite a few ruffled feathers," she smirked, knowing full well that unless he directly told her to behave, she would gladly step on any and everyone's toes in order to maintain her vivacious personality.

Sib smirked and rested her arms on her knees. It seemed she had found a kindred spirit. "You know, i have a similar disease. It often seems that honesty may not be the best policy. But what do we care right, if people take offence it's their own damn problem for not being able to handle the truth." She gave Aya a wink. She often got herself into trouble for her candid opinion on people.

Aya laughed again, her laughter echoing slightly around the room. "Very true hon and I'm honored to share such a cleansing disease with one such as yourself," she grinned. She studied the young girl for a moment and could see so much of herself in her, it was almost uncanny. She understood all too well what she was talking about and it had been hard being so opinionated. It hadn't gotten easy until she had met Kyo, a man who was more than willing to put up with her and to help her when she unwittingly overstepped her bounds.
"How did you get into playing violin?" she asked, turning her attention back to the papers.

"My da's in a folk punk band. A pretty famous one too." She smiled at the though of her dad and looked up at Aya. "Tara, from the band plays the fiddle, she was my idol when I was a kid. So I learned to play in primary school, then moved onto the classical violin when I was a bit older."
She smiled and watched Aya and her papers again. "Have you ever made people cry with your acting? That's why I love the violin. I love the emotions such a simple instrument can evoke in people."

Listening with high interest, her eyes flickered between Sib and her task at hand. Oh how she wished she didn't have to do this mundane task. At her question, she paused again with another warm smile. "I have. It is the highest honor to witness such a thing in another person. No matter the script and scenery it is your ability to connect, to draw them in so completely. It is such a powerful thing when you can speak to another on such a base level. Even more so with music because you're doing it without the aide of powerful linguistics or body language," she said, then continued to work on sorting out the mess.
"Which would you say you've accomplished more with your music, and I mean any music, plays, recitals, in a band: laughter or tears?" she asked.

Sib thought about the question for a few moments and smiled a little. "Laughter, folk stuff and my punk signing is fun. I love to watch people laugh. So that is what I think I've accomplised more." She nodded as if to assert her answer. "What about you?"

"Definitely laughter," she replied without a moment's hesitation. True some might say that some people were laughing at her, but she could always see the humor in her situations and chose to laugh with them. "Laughter is the best music I think," she smiled and promptly dumped all the papers off her lap. She knew she needed to get the sorting done, but she had been still long enough.
"Let's go explore the costume room," she smiled and popped up to her feet. She held her hand out to Sib and adjusted her shirt over her slender frame with her free hand. "I can't wait to hear you play," she grinned, reaching into her pocket and hoping she had the proper set of keys with her.

Sib took her hand and stood, giving her a broad smile. "Maybe next time I come exploring I'll bring my violin." She said beaming at the thought of a costume room. "A whole room of costumes." She said as she followed behind Aya. "I love to dress up ... incase you haven't noticed." She smirked gestruing to her attire. "Will we be putting on a play at any point?

"Excellent," she beamed at Sib's offer to bring her violin with her next time. Aya was pleased by Sib's excitement. She glanced over at the girl as she led the way to the room and noted her attire. She was so used to dressing however she saw fit, nothing seemed strange to her anymore.
"A whole room of costumes," she affirmed with a grin, pulling out her keys. She smiled brightly as she found the proper key easy enough thanks to Kyo thoughtfully labeling them for her. Unlocking the door, she pushed it open and flicked on a light to show racks and racks and shelves of boxes all filled with various costumes.
"Most definitely," she smirked. "We'll be putting on at least three major productions. Maybe more if I think we can handle it," she smiled, stepping aside so Sib could walk in. "I think this might be my favorite room, the props room coming in a close second," she grinned, walking over to a rack of brightly colored dresses.
