This Ephaph was sounding better and better. And she liked the idea of being a so-called 'demonic' - bat-like wings were certainly preferable to the soft, feathery ones these two had. And horns could definitely be useful.

"Now how could this cute little chick be a demonic. It's so adorable and cuddly!" She said in a googoo gaagaa baby crap voice just to annoy Dreahni. She purposely acted like a soft mothery hippogriff to see how Dreahni would react. She walked over to the hatchling as if to cuddle her relentlessly.

Fikyr looked at Dreahni after he finished talking, she had a slightly evily happy look on her face. No doubt, this one was a demonic. He gavea surprised start as Gylfie started cooing to Dreahni, and then realized what she was doing, barely containing a snort of laughter.

Dreahni stared open-beaked in horror at Gylfie for precious seconds, then scrambled back in horror, wishing she were bigger so she could defend herself instead of cowering in such pitiful fashion behind Fikyr. She truly hated being small. Detested. Loathed. She hadn't realized how small she was until she'd broken free and seen these two hippogriffs that were many times her size. Why, oh why did one of them have to be so...mothery?!

"Come here and gimme a smooch!" She said and reached out in an attempt to grab Dreahni and hug her, cuddle her, and kiss her on the head.

This pushed little Dreahni past breaking point. With a shriek of terrified horror, she bolted.

This time Fikyr couldn't hold his laughter in, and he grinned broadly in amusement as Dreahni scrambled back from Gylfie as if the other hippogriff had some highly infectious disease. Gylfie wasn't doing much to put to rest the young demonic's fears though, he noted, carrying on like the most doting mother he had ever seen. Hilarious actually. He watched as Dreahni screached, and then bolted. He frowned, wasn't the little thing going a bit over the top? "Dreahni," he said dryly, "she's not diseased."

Still incredibly amused, Fikyr trotted after the pair. At Gylfie's yell and Dreahni's words, Fikyr's mind was definately settled. He had to see how this one panned out. Let's see, he thought, the tiny terror, or the overbearing motherly one? He wished there were others here, he could set up his own little betting ring from the two.

Dreahni quickly faced forward again before she tripped. She was small and unused to running, and Gylfie was gaining on her. She needed a plan of action, just running wasn't going to work. Seeing a tree ahead, she grinned mentally. She'd thought of something that just might work. Still shrieking, she swerved towards the hundred-yards-distant tree.
(Edit: I have Opened the rp, now that we could be heading towards other griffs.))

Fikyr observed Dreahni, noting her swerve, as well as the tree directly in her path. Wasn't that the tree that...a flash of white from the branches caught his eye and he nodded to himself. Ah yes, the ferret Kumo was currently in the tree, playing whatever sort of games he did. Hopefully Dreahni wouldn't attempt to climb the tree, Kumo would probably try to kidnapp her into one of his strange tribal rituals. The ferret was a weird one, that was for sure.

Reaching the tree, Dreahni seemingly streaked past, but at an angle that temporarily hid her from Gylfie's view. In reality, she swept around the tree and waited for Gylfie to go past, at which point she would run back the direction they had come.
