Techically I study at home (not an offical student yet but the college is online anyways) and I don't think I could go day with out talking if I signed up for the class cause it requires me to talk to the teachers and other students for a few hours a day online ( i'm not sure how it works but use some headphones and some other stuff)

But since i'm not offically a student maybe I can do something else

I don't have red tape or anything yellow but would a red shirt work?

i'm sure you could get some red tape by october blaugh

but it really dosn't matter as long as you get your point across. they also recomend writing 'life' on the tape so nobody gets confused about why you are doing it. maybe if you wrote life on the T-shirt?

andyz cool

And I'm just pointing out that I don't think it's confusing at all. sweatdrop I don't know how the homosexual rights silent day goes, but I'm guessing they have a rainbow bandana or armband or whatever. So it's really just two causes using the same technique. Just like with marches; You hold up different picket signs for different causes, even though it's the same technique, so it's kind of hard to get confused about what someone is standing up for.

Well, really the only reason I was confused, and you weren't, is that I had never heard of a Pro-Life day of no talking, while I did know about the Day of Silence (which is just a day when no one talks, being the first day of this kind, I don't believe that there are any armbands involved). So I felt confused, not knowing that other groups have also taken to using days of no talking in support of other causes.

*grin*

It's a good idea, like I said, I was just not aware that multiple groups now used it. I guess, being old and out of school, I am just behind the times. Being of a different opinion, I won't do this, but I do applaud anyone who does. Standing up for your beliefs is a great thing, especially in such a notable and non-violent way.

Now that I know about it, I am no longer confused.

I would love to do something like that. I would be a little nervous doing that, mainly because I don't want one of my teachers, should they be pro-choice, to hate me for it. sweatdrop

But I would love to do the same thing for gay rights and stuff like that. I just hope my parents will let me do a "silent" protest during school hours, where I'd probably need to ask questions or communicate with others.

A piece of red tape on the back of one's hand would make a powerful statement. Considering the hands represent the bodily tools we use to help others, to hold others, and to build any solution to any problem if we're wise enough.

That would be awesome. razz I'd love to do that.

Red items. Hmm. The red scarf thing is too expensive for teh Ebbers. ;____; But she will be browsing through and saving up for anything else that might come to mind! : D

I was homeschooled, for every grade except Kindergarten, 7th and 8th grade. And, of course, I'm not being homeschooled for College.

They recommend homeschoolers going out for the day (to the mall or something) and handing out fliers. Also, they recommend students talking to the school administration and teachers beforehand (that way it makes it easier to get through the day), and say that students shouldn't refrain from answering questions if a teacher is insistant on asking because they don't want students' grades to suffer.

I was homeschooled for one year, because my mom wasn't happy with me being in a grade 3/4 split class.

Unhappy enough to pull me out of class, and teach me herself.

I was thinking that it was the spirited scarf.

I had a CN scarf, but I've been selling a lot of stuff of late.
