Well, I also think that on the matter of guilds being expelled from the order, that those who do not retain the activty of their membership, or those who no longer exist, should be removed from the guild. They would of course be warned before hand, and given a chane to rectify this, but I do not think that those who do not use the power given to them should be able to retain the right to use it.


I personally believe that there should be a set time for activity. There must be say, one post per every two months?

If that is not abided by, then the Guild is permitted to be announced for deletion on the docket. For vote.

Then, they would have to get 2/3's of the Guild's vote to be allowed in.

Also, Pakuun, they could vote on potential newcomers to the Guild. However, I think that's a function we'll leave out. xp

I read the new sub-forum! I like it for the most part. I do have some questions.

- Votes? There needs to be something on the docket to vote on. Say, one of the amendments in discussion now? You can even throw in the negotiations in there to help buff activity.

Treaties should be negotiated on in the Negotiation Room, and commented on in the Meeting Room. Anything that envolves the entire Guild should be negotiated in the Meeting Room. All OGC treaties should be negotiated, written, and voted on in the Meeting Room.

- Current Ideas for the Docket:
- Voting on the adoption of "Guild Profiles", to make it easier to find out a Guild's alliances and hatredish stuff.

Negotiation Room Stuff:
The Alliance of ___________: Find a few Guilds that already enjoy each other, (WOOD, UGMF, etc.), and make a big alliance. Then have war, and watch as others make alliances of the same sort.

- Get wars moving. Force Guilds to make 'Guild Profiles', which lists their enemy #1 in this place, or out. Then, contact the Guilds, telling them they must have a war. Or some agreement within the Guild to encourage activity. Tell people backstabbing's allowed, like in real life, except when it comes to official rules. However, the enemy must be a Guild.

- Make "Default" Versions of RPs. Most Guilds use different styles to signify attacks. A good idea would be to list all the possible default versions of RPing used by different Guilds. (Dice System, list used by who. T1, list used by who, etc.)

Seperate Idea!

- Non-Commanders.
Non-Commanders should be permitted into the Meeting Room, so long as it is:

A. A major suggestion/revision no one has thought of.
B. Noting a grammatical error of a treaty.
C. When the treaty seriously effects the party at hand.

When posting, they will have to make their posts all red to avoid confusion with members who have a vote. If they disobey, they can be banned. twisted

Sounds okay, although I personally like the power to accept guilds ro myself, not that I've yet to turn down a guild, but maybe once we grow a bit more, then we should move into a voting system for that, although it has crossed my mind from time to time.

I don't like the whole idea of 'forcing' guilds into combat with one another. I do not by any means disagree with encouraging them into combat, but to make everyone join an alliance and fight I believe is silly. I have two reasons for such.

1: For instance, I am in a mercenary guild, and as mercenaries, we're not likely to join one side or anther, and if so, we could conceivably fight on different sides of every battle in a war. I suppose you could make a 'mercenary status' which denotes that you are not subject to alliances.

2: You cannot really force a guild to go to war. Sure, you can instigate and encourage, but if the guild doesn't want to go to war, then they don't want to go to war, whether it be for logistical reasons or otherwise. Granted, if you get like four big alliances and have them duking it out, as a member of an alliance, you would technically be obligated to join in as well. My problem with it is that it forces your diplomacy, which I think that individual guilds and their leaders should make that choice, not some random committee.

Oh, I can force any Guild into a war. I just say, "Superpower attack them!" and the worlds largest military makes a world war out of it. wink

But, even so, the idea needs to stay a vote because people might have a side, but no significant opinion if offered from another party. Therefore, less cluttering.

Xenos, I definitly see your point. However, I'd suggest voting on it in the Meeting Room. None of this has been adopted as of yet, you know. biggrin

Anyways, instigating is just as good. But, the fundamental problem with this Guild is people aren't negotiating. Pakuun needs to at the least create some initiative around these parts. neutral

I would like to attack guilds in the future...Maybe an alliance would be good...But why post it here? I could just pm people and they can agree to get attacked or attack me. confused

That way, other Guilds go, "Oh, hell no!" if they're truly bored, and do something about it.

Or we should hope.

Even posting it here adds one more post to this Guild. I daresay that Pakuun wouldn't mind all the action being in here, hm? ********, (I hope nobody minds cussing...), for all intensive purposes, I'm sure Pakuun could keep a history of the Order, and include all wars and treaties in some sort of worthless list that nerds read through daily. neutral

Sorry. Tired.

But, a list would be a good idea. People can see, "Oh look! The US hates the Gambino Military! Let's ally with the US, because we hate the GM!"

I have the plan to keep the records, the subforum "Scores for Wars" is pretty much what you are talking about, adding treaties may be a new idea, but for the rest of it, I plan on keeping history of all wars.

Wow, im glad my thread sparked the edge tha once made this guidl great. As least it got SOME POSTS. At any rate, the problem has be posted, and can be fixed. Accepting is first on the road to fixing it, that crap. This thread has servered its purpose, and I respect Pakuun for not deleting it on site. Thank you.
