Got a single Silver Bullet...The closest I've come to that is my best friend's little cousin calls me a "nion" (I'm thinking she means lion), and always says "good kitty" whenever I play with her.
...shot right through my heart

Well...I was in a dance studio, and this girl might have been three or four...but as I walk by, she yells doggy. o.O; There were no dogs around. I look at her...and she's pointing at me. O.O Then anopther time I was at a Doctor's office, and a little girl in the other waiting room starting saying, I want the doggy, mommy! The room I was in was seppeorqated by a partail partition. Heh. >.> And after awhile she yells, "The doggy isn't coming, mommy!" ....Whoa. Sorry for typos, typng in a hurry. >.>

DR490N awww that's cute! kids can see this stuff till they're like 7 right? it seems to range really. i've heard of some people who never lost this ability, some who never had it. so even sometimes adults can 'see' i guess. in general, from what i've heard, most kids loose it around by at least age 10.
my theory is that they can see us just because they didn't learn not to 'see', so as they get older and parents get sick and tired of the child's 'imaginary friends' then they start telling the kid what is 'real' and what's 'not', so they stop 'see'ing.
the oldest group of kids i've heard about 'see'ing a 'kin was a group of middle schoolers who were playing some game and lost their ball across the ball to where the wolf therian was walking home from school. one of the kids stopped dead when he saw her and started yelling "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" and she said that some of the kids joined in in his frightened behavior and some just stared at him like he was insane telling it was only a girl. the frightened kids started yelling that what was over there wasn't human. the girl said she hurried away before anything else happened (she was afraid they'd start throwing things at her or chasing her or something).
some people have reported random adults in bus rides coming over to them and telling them their fur/wings are pretty or something similar, then leaving.
*pats Twilima and DR490N* aww, don't worry not all little kids are afraid of things that scare the others.
one of the most amusing ones i've heard of was a dragonkin walking past a bunch of third graders whom were in line and waiting for their teacher, and as the 'kin walked past the kids took a collective step backwards and one whispered "watch out for the tail."
makes me wonder what a child who could 'see' us would do it they accidently came in contact with our phantom forms... would their belief in what they see cause their bodies to react like it's really there (bumping into it and falling over) or would they pass through it and then be confused as to why?
also makes me ponder how they see us, do they see us overlapped with our 'kinselves? or only the 'kinself? or maybe an anthro-ish mix between our human forms and our 'kinselves?

Maybe I was one of those little kids who never "saw" anything. I remember being jealous because all the other kids had imaginary friends and I didn't. So I pretended that I did.
Yes, I actually imagined I had an imaginary friend, even though I knew I didn't. whee
I did once see a leprechaun looking guy, though. eek It was in a MacDonalds. I didn't want to stare because I thought that would be rude, but when I went to get a better look anyway, he wasn't there anymore!

Kit-fallen .Love.Idina. By the way Kit, do your cousins also like to walk around with no pants of any under or over sort? my older brother walks around in his boxers ALL the time.. and most of my cousins will walk around and outside in boxers and usually nothing else, but i think my grandmother would have a fit if they walked around with even less on.
i, myself, haven't had much more then the constant staring, although i tend to like babies (ask my friends, they'll tell you i stop for babies to play with them X3). only one kid ever drew a picture of me and althought she drew me with cat ears, she also knew i liked them and i don't know the reason for her drawing them, if it was because she 'saw' them or not. Better than mine. They probably have lost all source of underwear by now. Ugh.

Kit-fallen personally, i find it only natural to me to think of kids as kittens, being a werecat, and so sometimes i end up thinking to doing things that wouldn't be good for a human kid but would work for a kitten.. ^^; like trying to swat their ears or something.. >>; which doesn't work exactly. also, i call them kittens in my head sometimes. Lol, I have the same problem. I'l sometimes find myself seeing small children more like puppies than human kids >.<. Or not seeing a big difference between an ACTUAL puppy and a human baby.

I can't say as I have had any noticable experiences like any that have been afore-mentioned. None of my cousins have ever said anything that would make me think that they have "seen" me. In fact quite the contrary, Just a couple weeks ago, my 10 year old cousin, who is quite usually glued to me when I come and visit, said something about dragons being evil and bad and that it was because they did bad things that the knights (on his deck of Knight cards) SHOULD try to kill the Dragons... I was a little hurt. I mean I know he doesn't know what his cousin really is... But it was still... I dunno, I guess in some way I felt like he was saying I was bad... (I know he wasn't, but that's how it felt.) I have had other kids, react oddly to me when I make faces at them... (I know that could just be because I'm making faces at them...) but sriously, I pretty much make the same face at little kids... or just smile at them, and sometimes (most frequently,) they seem to be happy that I smiled at them and smiel and wave, and practically break their necks trying to get more attention from me, or just to see me. Other times though, you would think I had made a mean face at them or something (maybe a HUGE western dragon, simling and showing it's teeth is more than they can handle?). Of course I do NOT know if their reactions are based on "seeing" anyting, or if those kids just don't like me. I have never heard any kids say anything about my wings or tail, or any other dragon part of me, I have never heard them say anything about "ooh look at the dragon" or "watch out for the tail..." or anything like that (of course I am also a little bit oblivious at times... so they may have and I just didn't notice) SheWolfDanielle Lol, I have the same problem. I'l sometimes find myself seeing small children more like puppies than human kids >.<. Or not seeing a big difference between an ACTUAL puppy and a human baby. You would. Is that why you try to pick folk up by the scrap of the neck? just joking with you of course. heart!

It would happen that after making my previous post, I would have an incident that falls under this topic.
Now... Shortly after having posted in this thread, earlier today, my mother (who only knows of my "infatuation" with dragons... and my "spirit guide" being a dragon...) and I went out for lunch. We went to a little pizza place here in Charleston (SC). There, while we were sitting outside, eating lunch, I noticed a small child of approximately 7 years old, sitting on the inside of the pizza place. (Had there not been a window seperating us, we would have essentially been sitting at the same table) This young boy, kept a weather eye on me, the entire time he was at the restaurant. (Of course there were times when his young attention span drifted elsewhere, but...) When that "young man" looked at me, his eyes seemd to widen and he seemed to be intent on figuring out what it was he was looking at, or waiting for me to do something like shoot faireballs or something... OR MAYBE i spilled pizza sauce on my shirt...
Whatever the case may have been, that little man, did not seem to want to take his eyes off of me till I did something "Really Cool!!!" As I mentioned, he was inside, while mom and I were outside, so I was unable to hear if he made any comments to his grandparents that were treating him and his brother to lunch, or if he said something to his younger brother or anything of the sort.
I dunno, Like I said, it may have had something to do with seeing a big purple dragon, or it could have been that I had something written in sharpie on my forehead.
Just thought I would add to the confusion, and pondering.

Good nite all, ~Griff

While I've heard a few accounts of phantom limbs influencing the physical world, i.e. brushing past something or knocking objects over, None have been verified and most who experience phantom limbs, while experiencing physical sensations from these limbs, do not seem to be able to use them to influence physical objects. Note: I did at one point try to move a leaf with a wingtip over the course of an hour and a half, to very little result. I attribute what movement did occur to the wind.

SheWolfDanielle Lol, I have the same problem. I'l sometimes find myself seeing small children more like puppies than human kids >.<. Or not seeing a big difference between an ACTUAL puppy and a human baby. yea, hehe, when i'm babysitting i sometimes get the urge to pick them up by the scuff of their neck and carry them around like that, but i don't follow through on that, or i'd probably have been banned from ever babysitting again ^^;
UTKsDagron: aw, yea i hate when people, especially my friends or family, make comments about cats like that. unfortunately the people in the state i live in, aren't the sort that like cats much. here, you get fined insane amounts if you accidently kill a neighbor's dog, however if you kill their cat, it's not even considered a crime at all.
i try to stay away from talking about anything to go with felines while at school because the general view on them is "those stupid cats should all be shot! let me get my daddy's gun and i'll do it!" -_-;
not too long ago i was eatting at the mall nearby my house and a kid at the next table was staring at me too, although it might just be because i was next to him, who knows. i've never had little kids be frightened if i smiled at them.. but i can't imagine a little housecat be as frightening as another creature they might see instead of a human.
Ten Words: i've heard of that happening as well. people hitting their phantom limbs on poles and physically falling backwards because of it. doors actually not closing because of 'something' in the way, that turns out to be a phantom tail or something.
i've tried affecting things with my phantom limbs, and it's amusing how people do subconciously move according to them, but i haven't tripped anyone or things like that ^^;
for example, i like to move my wings so that they're half wrapped around me so people unconciously avoid hitting them and i end up having more space to walk through hallways.

I just fold my wings to my back. they fold 360 degrees in a couple places. the tail's more of a problem though. i cant even move it, so i just have to sit on it and have it hurt a bit, or sit on my knees. and yeah, its fun poking people with them and having them think i touched them.
